I am writing on behalf of my boyfriend, Jon. We have been dating for over two years now, and today he realized how disconnected he is. He is disconnected to life, people, me, God, even himself. He is afraid of getting hurt and unwilling to make himself vulnerable. I discussed the reality that all it seems our relationship has been based lately was physical desires. Knowing that this is not where God wants us to be right now, I confronted him about it. He said he is not good at building relationships with others. He said he would much rather have interactions based upon the physical, whether it be in a relationship, in sports, on the job or in school. He never gets below the surface this way. He said it protects him from having to deal with others. "To each his own" is his mentality. After thinking about it, he asked what would one do if they had a desire to go deeper. I told him that they would have to be willing to be vulnerable, authentically listen to others in conversation, become self sacrificing, as Christ was for us. Please pray for him. Years of habitual sexual addiction and pain from past hurts have hardened his heart. He wants to be set free, and does not understand why he is so disconnected. Please agree with me in prayer that God will break him, and shake his heart and soul. That God will break down those walls that he has built. That Jon will surrender to God with everything that he has. Pray that he will be able to hear the voice of God, and be unafraid to face life, or even pain. Please pray that these habitual sexual addictions will be broken eternally in the name of Jesus. Thank you and God bless. We need restoration.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift Jon up in prayer and ask for Your healing touch upon his life. Lord only You know the whole picture here and what his needs are. Please send the Holy Spirit to soften his heart and convict him of his sins and bring him to repentance and Salvation through Jesus. Open his eyes and heart Lord so he may see the truth and reveal Yourself to him in a mighty way. Loose all strongholds the enemy has established in his life that are keeping him captive. Send Godly Christians who will minister to him and guide him in the right paths. May Your perfect will be done in the lives of Jon and his girlfriend. This I ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
