Salvation for my Boss

Hello everyone. I went out to lunch with the people on my team today. My boss told everyone that he saw a special on heaven the other night. He said that he really loved it. But sadly, he doesn't get it. He hopes he gets to heaven, but does not think of Jesus being the only way, truth, or life. He sees Christians as being narrow minded when it comes to getting into heaven. He wants to go to heaven but for selfish reasons i.e. "One cool thing about heaven is that you will get to eat all you want and not get fat." with a big smile on his face. He sees evangelicals (one facet of true Christianity) as judgemental and inflexible saying 'It's our way and no other way.' That's how he sees us Christians. I admit, I need to exhibit fruits of the spirit more when I am around him. I have not been as fruitful as I can be. Unbelievers are most likely to be led to Christ by our example, and I humbly confess that I have not been a good enough example. I should have stood up for Jesus more at the lunch table. His lifestyle isn't Christlike either. He is living with a woman whom he is not married to, for example. He is divorced, although I don't know who divorced who. None of my co-workers who are Christian stood up for Jesus either. I have a problem with being shy. I have a crippling fear of communicating to people that I am trying to overcome. I have a form social phobia, and I need to be set free. One thing he said about the show on heaven is that the Buddhists seemed the happiest. My Vietamese co-worker is Buddhist. My boss admires her for appearing happy all the time. "I think I might become Buddhist." he says. After leaving the restaurant, he is now asking my co-worker about Buddhism. Sorry, if I am beating myself up, but now I really think it's my fault that he is going down the wrong path. He should be asking me about Jesus. But he does not desire what I have, but desires what she has. What have I done! How is it that Buddhists can be so happy if they don't have Christ! I know that it is a false peace, based on the energy or something. Joyce Meyer has stated time and time again that you have to make unbelievers want what you have. From my boss's perspective or perception, he doens't see me as having a life that he wants. It's my fault! I do come to work grumpy and depressed, with a bad attitude even though I've heard Joyce Meyer's advice against it, but really it's against the truth of God's Word. I am not obeying God when I come to work grumpy and depressed with a low self-esteem and sometimes lazy and its no use attitude towards my work. I know that I am not displaying the fruits of the spirit at all times. I strive towards being a good Christian at work, like all other places. I guess I'm not trying hard enough. My flesh does not want to be cheerful around my boss, because I admit, he gets on my nerves. He teases me about watching Joyce Meyer on the Internet. Please pray for me to be a better witness and example in the workplace as well as for my boss' salvation, whether I sew seeds or other Christian collegues sew seeds. God Bless You All!

Your boss's standing before God is not your fault. From what you're saying, you've obviously been an effective witness for Christ for quite some time. Hang in there. God is still using you in this situation as well as others. Just be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and He will guide you. Your boss is responsible for his own decisions and destiny.

Father please convict Janet's boss of sin and show him Jesus is the only way. Please draw him to Yourself and bring him to a saving knowledge and faith. Please help Janet be a more effective witness for Christ in these coming days and minister to her needs. Thanks in Jesus Name amen.

Hi sweet Honey! I knew I could count on you for comfort. This is one of the many reasons why God has placed you into my life to be my husband. Thank you so much baby for supporting me. I love you.

Janet I can relate. When I was in the military I even got criticism for being a hypicrite because I would not associate with people in things they did like drinking and smoking pot. When I tried to live my religion I got more criticism. I knew that it was the adversary trying to discourage me. I couldn't go to parites where people were smoking pot and drinking so I was called a hypicrite. I remember I was really hard on myself because I thought if I was doing everything right people who want what I had. But I was also a new Christian and the adversary tried to make me feel I was not a very good Christian because of others and things they said to discourage me. Maybe you could pray for an opportunity to witness to your boss then look for the right time and plan something ahead of what you would like to say. I know that helps me.

Dear Lord in Heaven, I pray for Janet's boss that he will have a spiritual awakening and receive salvation to his soul. Open that door to him and help him to come to understand that Jesus is the only way. Not Buddah or any other person like that. Help Janet to feel good about herself and open up an opportunity for her to witness to him of her testimony of Christ, I pray in Jesus Holy name.
