Prayer from sin & pain

I pray for my husband who is an alcoholic. He is very angry inside, and has had very many hurts in his life. I pray also that my heart will be changed towards my husband so that I may show him kindness instead of anger, and negativity. My husband was an abused child, and is trying to deal with life, marriage, and a family the only way he knows how. This is not his fault. I pray that his wounds would heal and that he may seek counseling for his childhood hurts. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Lord, heal this man, and heal his family. I pray that they will stop playing this co-dependant dance. I pray she will set boundries, and not allow him to do things that are inappropriate. I pray she will not make excuses for him. Help her to see that he is an adult and must make his own choices, not blame his past or his parents. Lord, may both of these adults see what they must do to get this relationship on an ADULT level. I pray for maturity and growth and healing for them both as INDIVIDUALS. Lord, he must be made responsible for his actions, and I pray she has the courage to let him. Father, help her not to say it isn't his fault. It is his fault. Sin (of which drunkeness is a sin) is always a choice WE make. Anyway, God, let this man be put in a position where all his enablers quit enabling him. Let him come to an end of himself and those who bail him out.
God, let this family put YOU first. I pray that each individual will seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteouness. I pray that each individual will love the Lord their God, with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and love their neighbor (each other) as themselves.
