Being Taught by God

There seems to be so much confusion about understanding the Word of God.
Sometimes I just wonder if any of us ask God first.
He is such a wonderful teacher.
When the Holy Spirit comes to you and leads you in the ways of the Lord it is so wonderful you will never forget it.
Here is a simple lesson The Lord gave me about being taught by God.
I pray you injoy it as much as I do.



It is ok to ask God to teach you
Psalms 25:1 { [A Psalm] of David.}

Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. 25:2
O my God, I trust in thee:
let me not be ashamed,
let not mine enemies triumph over me. 25:3 Yea,
let none that wait on thee be ashamed:
let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. 25:4
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; (Is God showing you the way) )

He will teach me thy paths. 25:5 (Is God teaching you the paths to walk in)
Lead me in thy truth, (Is God leading you in the Word)
and teach me:
for thou [art] the God of my salvation;
on thee do I wait all the day. 25:6 (Are you waiting on God)
Remember, O LORD,
thy tender mercies and
thy lovingkindnesses; for they [have been] ever of old. 25:7
Remember not
the sins of my youth,
nor my transgressions:
according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

25:8
God will teach the sinners His ways
Good and upright [is] the LORD:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 25:9 (Yes HE will!!!)
The meek will he guide in judgment: and
The meek will he teach his way. 25:10

All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy
and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 25:11
For thy name's sake, O LORD,
pardon mine iniquity; for it [is] great.

25:12
God will teach the right way to chose
( the blessings of fearing the Lord)
What man [is] he that feareth the LORD?
him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose. 25:13
His soul shall dwell at ease; and
his seed shall inherit the earth. 25:14
The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and
he will shew them his covenant. 25:15
Mine eyes [are] ever toward the LORD;
for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. 25:16
Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me;
for I [am] desolate and afflicted.
Surley if we can ask the Lord to teach us we know He will

God is asking us to let Him teach us to see His good ways
Psalms 34:6 This poor man cried,
and the LORD heard [him],
and saved him out of all his troubles. 34:7
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 34:8

(the Lord is calling us to Him)
O taste and see that the LORD [is] good:
blessed [is] the man [that] trusteth in him. 34:9
O fear the LORD, ye his saints:
for [there is] no want to them that fear him. 34:10
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing].

34:11
God wants to teach us the fear of the Lord
(This is the Lord talking to you and me.)
Come, ye children, (Are you coming to God)
hearken unto me: (Are you listening to His Voice)
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

34:12
What man [is he that] desireth life,
[and] loveth [many] days, that he may see good?


God said Call unto the Lord when He may be found
Psalms 32:6 For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee
in a time when thou mayest be found:
surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. 32:7
Thou [art] my hiding place;
thou shalt preserve me from trouble;
thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. 32:8

God promised to be our teacher
(This is the Lord speaking to us)
I will instruct thee
and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:
I will guide thee with mine eye. 32:9
Be ye not as the horse, [or] as the mule, [which] have no understanding:
whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle,
lest they come near unto thee. 32:10
Many sorrows [shall be] to the wicked:
but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. 32:11
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous:
and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright in heart.

God said We can learn of Jesus
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, (Jesus is calling you)
all [ye] that labour
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. 11:29
Take my yoke upon you,
and learn of me; (Jesus is saying we can lean His ways)
for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 11:30
For my yoke [is] easy,
and my burden is light.

The Holy Ghost will teach
John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.

We are commanded to teach others
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore,
and teach all nations,
baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

We are Teaching for Gods Glory
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. 51:11
Cast me not away from thy presence;
and take not thy holy spirit from me. 51:12
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
and uphold me [with thy] free spirit. 51:13

(All this forgiveness is for a purpose) )(not just so we feel better)
[Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways;
and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 51:14
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation:
[and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 51:15
O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
Remember Isaiah 58 these are some of the ways of the Lord
to loose the bands of wickedness, 5) to deal thy bread to the hungry
to undo the heavy burdens, 6) (to) bring the poor ....to thy house?
to let the oppressed go free, 7) (to) cover the naked
(to) break every yoke? 8) to hide not thyself from thy own flesh

Thanks, Jerry, for your faithfullness to God's Word. When I ask people, "Where is that in the Bible?" they often can not give me an answer or give me some run around answer. Every time you do one of these lessons, it's mostly just scritpure. There is so much running after "the anointing" that people forget that The Word of God is 66 books full of anointing. I feel like so many people just want a feeling (I am guilty! ), that they will sometimes forget the Truth of God's Word, when they "feel" God is telling them something. I have been asking God for direction, and He keeps reminding me to read His Word, for that is where I RECEIVE direction. If the things I think he is calling me to do don't line up with His Word, then I can be sure He is not calling me to do them. I like the old, "Keep it simple, stupid," advice. Sometimes we are trying so hard to hear His voice, we miss it altogether or imagine He told us something that He didn't.

I needed to hear this! Thanks, Jerry! I know that at times I want a fast answer--the microwave version of quick fix. God wants to teach me slowly so that I can comprehend and make change in my life--the slow cook method!

Help me this day Lord, to swallow my pride, crucify my flesh and allow You to instruct me in Your ways!

Thanks Jerry for being faithful and putting this here, for it truly is important for this time. Have been having Him teach my son and I for a while, we ended up leaving everything else and have Him teach us and not just teach us, fellowship with, and everything else He is to us. Lord Jesus Christ is amazing to be taught by, including when He not only gives You His take on His word, in His understanding wisdom in all His seasons and timings, but what He shares with u, what's in His heart and mind and Soul it is wow. U get to know what is going on as well, what He wants u to, as well as His mysteries that He reveals, wow. We know Him and to Know Him wow, and when He manifest Himself to You and You get to see Him, wow.

There are so many of the Lord's people place man's accreditations above the annointing and being taught, gifted and equipped by God authentically. That is why the earth's churches and ministeries, His people are in trouble and have become dry and fallen into apostasy.

Even when u r annointed, u r taught by Him, He always confirms it with His written word, the spoken, written, sung word of Lord Jesus Christ goes together and out of the mouth of two or three witnesses His word is always confirmed. Could not do what He has gotten us to do, unless He taught us as well as equip us. My son has had learning disorders to deal with and He was so difficult to teach, actually impossible. Lord Jesus Christ stepped in and started to teach my son all sorts of things, actually reconciled homelearning, with His life in Him and His ministery, at 15 He is amazingly gifted, He also is a part of the Lord's apostolic and priesthood and is going through being clothed with the Lord's humility and is learning that He must be able to serve all as the Lord gives it. As I live what I am required to live, my son also lives it along with me. Wow when He becomes a mature man wow and what He will do with and in the Lord, but for now, He is still maturing.

My son also could not understand a lot of things, He prayed the prayer I prayed, and so he prayed one night in the car, Lord can I have your intelligence, mine sucks. And the Lord answered His prayer and I cried because the Lord fulfilled it and is still fulfilling it. My son has also shepherded young children here and parented as well different boys, and is now in rest He has an amazing gift of His wisdom. Could not have this if we have not been with our Lord.

The truth of the matter Jerry, people's hearts are far away from the Lord, even if they confess Him with their mouths. They have the thorny soil, as well as stoney and wayfaring, and even when there is good soil, there can also be spiritual pride, vanity and greed in the midst. So He gave to us His Heavenly soil to work with and in and we love it. He caters what we need to learn with what we need to live, it is truly the Lamb's book of life, along with His life giving word and spoken word of God. Even when we share and have messages or bring forth teaching it is always right and right on time.

We have tried to share with others, we are taught by Lord Jesus Christ. At times people recognise this, at other time it is discredited. It truly is wowy, when He teaches you, His learning becomes like being on an amazing treasure hunt, in search of His amazing gems,especially when He breathed life into His word for us and breathed His life into His scriptures and took away the veil. Looking and reading the bible also when He leads, becomes wow, especially when u understand what u r doing and why, even when we have His faith to lean upon at those times, it is amazing. The bible is an amazing source of info, but what we learnt when our house burnt down, if the book burns, it can be replaced, and was grateful for His anointing, because He flowed it through. Even our praise and worship cds when they were burnt away, we had what He sowed into us, come into rememberance, He was an amazing source of flow from Him, and then we got a new bible and got new praise and worship songs. He gives to us the most amazing songs and always has a song for us no matter what the situation.

If people would truly turn to Him first, even with prayer, with every part of their lives, people's lives would be better and it would free up so much of His people that they could draw near unto Him and then they could really step into what the Lord has for them, and we could all be the Heavenly anointed body of Christ we are meant to be, every single part operating in His heavenly and earthly witness mature in Him and the world would see what a Glorious God we have and His wife would be His Glorious praise of all nations she is meant to be. And people would walk away from sin, inquity and transgression and we would all be one and walk in the Same Spirit, in the Same anointing and be all one in Christ and all be reconciled back to Him as we should.

But alas, they will not heed, and so He brings forth His remnant within the remnant and is restoring His body, rebuilding His house and bring forth His city in the midst of His chosen nations in the midst of His commonwealth of Israel.

People can forsake the great for the ordinary.

Well, this blessed me all over again.

It's THE WORD, THE WORD, THE WORD! I always want "a word" from God....but I have THE Word from God, 66 books that explain His character adn nature and how He desires me to live.

Hallelujah! for The Bible!

I don't think This Book is celebrated enough!!!

Lord Jesus Christ, is the word of God the living word of God and the lamb has a book as well, the lamb's book of life, And the bible has 66 amazing books, but they are a record of people's lives and what the Lord did in each one and His take on things. His truth and His living word endures forever. The book is beautiful, and what He does He takes the truth and manifests it in His people's lives.

The pharisees searched the scriptures but they would not come to Jesus that He may give them life and they will not have life, because they refused to come to Him, their hearts are not clean, even though they follow or look to follow the scriptures down to the letter. The book tells people what God did in times past, what He does in the present and what He does in the future, but truly it is the author of the book that needs to be celebrated and the living word of God. Also many people don't know the word of God and that is the trouble, they don't spend enough time with Him.

He is the living word of God come manifest in the flesh, He is the living word of God come manifest in our flesh, and His people are His living bible to a world that will not come to the living word manifest or read about the living word manifest in the flesh. One day God's story, the bible is going to be finished, what will stand in Heaven, is the Lamb's book of life. His truth will endure forever and He is the one that sees and knows if His living word is within His people and who is written in the Lamb's book of life. Peace be with You,

Celebrate the word of God by all means, but celebrate the living word of God and the author above the book, Lord Jesus Christ and His living bible. Peace be with u,

Forestvoice7...Now your talking...That is so true, we live by breath...by every word that proceeds out of the ....The letter can kill, and we forget it is revealed via Spirit...NOT interpretted via strongs concordance, or thru the intellect, thus bypassing the Spirit... The Word and the Scriptures are not necessarily the same, but can be...Bless you
