I just talked with my Dad this morning and he wanted me to give you all an update.

He is not sure how long they will keep him and the list of obstacles has grown. They now are saying that he has the following: High blood pressure, Diabetes, Pneumonia, Congestive heart failure, Cancer, and an unspecified lung disease.

We still choose to believe the report of the LORD! We only post this as an update so that you know how to target your prayers on his behalf. The address to the hospital can be found at the following address:

If you would like to send him a card in the mail, please send it to the following address:

Thank you so much once again for all of your love, prayers, and support. We look forward to seeing the victory of the LORD in this battle!

Be blessed,

Steve Gaffney

Pastor Randy took a prayer cloth up to Jerry last night.

I just called and woke them up... oops ...

Pastor Linda says Jerry is looking better, I told her I would call later for a little more detail AFTER she woke up and had some coffee.......

I am usually a night owl who gets to bed around 5am or so but I got a full night last night and was up bright and early today and did not look at the time before I called...

Linda forgave me, she has woke me up many times. I am usually asleep until noon or so because of my messed up sleep schedule.

I will post more when I know more.

My Dear Friends:

First, please, forgive me for the shortness of this little note. I am still a little tired from my adventure, so I will post some more later.

I wanted to give you an update on our latest adventures. They let me go home from the hospital yesterday. I was in what they call step-down intensive care for about 5 days, then in a regular room for one. It was such a blessing to see the outpouring of your love and concern.

The nurses and doctors went to the site and read your prayers, and it was the talk of the whole hospital.

I really am enjoying the battle. I know all things do work out for good to those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purposes. So, it does not matter to me what the Doctor has to say. It really only matters what the Lord has to say.

I got so many flowers and get well cards while I was at the hospital that it blessed all those around me. Again, I want to thank those of you who took the time to call, write and pray - and those who understood this battle, and sent a gift to help us get through this time. Without out your support at such a time like this, we could not have made it.

We have not held any meeting for over 6 weeks now. So, I just know the devil thought he could stop us. He is so silly, because he does not understand the Love we have for one another. Thank you for standing with us in this time of need. We are in this battle together.

I will be going back to the hospital everyday for 30 days for radiation treatment for the cancer.

On Monday, I will be in contact with a doctor about the diabetes, and
I will be having more tests on my lungs and heart to see what can be done.

It has been fun to see the Lord healing me right in front of the Doctors.
Not everything is finished, but I know my Lord. He is faithful to complete that which He started.

I will be down for about 4 - 6 weeks. So, I will try and keep you updated as I find out what we need to pray for.

As time permits, I will try to send a thank you to all who sent cards and letters and support.

Again, Thank You Dear Friends.
You love and kindness has made me cry.

Pastor Jerry
