Lord God, I have been praying that You will line up a Godly man (woman?) to be the next President of the United States of America. I come to pray that today. Father, Kim Clement prophesied it would be a man who prays. I come in agreement with his prophecy for that to be so. Bring us a man who loves the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, mind and strength and his neighbor as himself. Bring us a man who prays. Bring us a man who is prophetic. Lord, I pray for a President who is ON FIRE for God. Send us someone FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. I pray he is a man who knows Your glory, has been in The Anointing. Find a man who is full of the fruits of the Spirit -- love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, temperance, meekness. Send us someone who will pray for revival in America and who lead that revival in America. Lord, let the righteous rule in America so that we may rejoice! I declare it done! In Jesus Name, amen.

Amen, JeriRose. I am agreeing with you in prayer for the next President, that the LORD would raise up a leader after his own heart for such a time as this. here is a dream I had about America:

A DREAM OF A NEW PRAYER FOR AMERICA

I dreamed this early this morning, 25 May 05. In the first dream I was talking to four American veterans of the Iraqi conflict. I was telling them I was a combat wounded veteran and I had spent two years in Iraq fighting for a great cause. These men were listening intently to me and believing everything I was telling them. I then gathered all four around me, looked them in the eyes, and told them the truth. I said I had fabricated my whole story, and the reasons for the war had been falsified. I saw the wounded look of betrayal in their eyes and on their faces. I then told them the purpose for my false story. I said,"You see, leaders in high places can tell you anything just to get you to follow them. Just like the blind leading the blind, both will fall in the ditch."

I then dreamed this dream. I had parked my red Ford Crew Cab truck in a parking lot by a large city park. I walked away and when I returned to my truck, a saw that a thief had stolen my left(driver's) door, both left wheels and tires, and my radio was hanging by a few wires. I looked up and saw several other people who also had their vehicles vandalized by a thief. I then saw the thief surrounded by some of his stolen goods, in a small grove of trees in a city park. Other people, including police, politicians, and religious leaders began to chase the thief. The thief was too strong for them and could not be caught. I then ran up to the thief and shouted, "Stop in the name of Jesus!" He dropped to the ground like he had been hit by a baseball bat. He lay there and began to burn. He then called out to me and said, "I want to be born again. Will you pray for me?" I went up to him and although he was glowing with coals like a great log burning, he could talk and hear me. I said, "Do you want Jesus to save you?" He replied, "Yes." All types of people, including politicians, religious leaders and ordinary American people were gathered around watching this scene. I prayed (it was a real intense prayer in my dream..agony of soul and brought tears to my eyes...my face was wet when I woke). This is the prayer, "Lord Jesus, you see the heart cry of this precious soul. Reveal your love unto him, O Lord. You have said forgive and it shall be forgiven you. There is no sin too great for you to forgive. Too, O Lord, your love is so good and so great that even you can save at the last minute." Jesus then came and saved this thief's soul and he gave up the ghost. I looked around and there was a look of awe on everyone's faces. Someone stated, "That was the most beautiful prayer ever prayed. It is a new prayer for America!" There was not a dry eye in the crowd...everyone was humbled and touched by the precious presence of our Lord. I then woke up, and recorded these two dreams.

Dear Lord, move in mighty power in the situation of the next President. I read a list of all the hopefuls, but I do not believe any of them is the right person -- Your person. So we stand in agreement that that person shall be brought from obscurity or wherever they are. We pray that You will bring them to the fore and show them favor. Give them favor in the eyes of the people.

I pray, Father God, for a Spirit-filled, God loving man (or woman) who will lead this nation back to God. Let him be a man who says it is about the RELATIONSHIP (with You) not the religion. Lord, I pray that he will be the cause of many transformed hearts. For the lawas we pass will not change hearts. Hearts must be changed by You, before people will uphold righteousness and want righteous laws.

Lord, we pray for a mighty warrior of prayer to be placed in the Whitehouse. We ask for a man who walks and talks with You in a beautiful, intimate relationship. Lord, I pray that he has been in The Glory and The Anointing. I pray he understands the moving of The Holy Spirit. I pray he prays that into America. I pray he prays revival into America. I pray he is at the head of the prayer movemnt in America. I pray he is a five star general in Your praying army!!!

Nothing is too difficult for You! We declare it done, in Jesus Name, amen.

Heavenly Father, it is totally in your hands. We praise you for all you are doing in this land and in your people. Lord, call your warriors to pray. Father we claim righteousness and holiness for America. Lord, forgive this nation for the wrongs we have done, and redeem us for your Glory and your Kingdom.

Lord, I thank You for leading me to these posts. I agree with these other prayer warriors and ask for an anointed leader to fill the position and operate in it in accordance to Your will. We ask for Your Presence to be strong in the White House, Lord, and inside of all of the people occupying it, and especially the President and his First Lady. In Jesus' Name I pray....Amen.

Lord, they are beginning to campaign for the Presidential election that is upcoming. I saw Bill Clinton speaking in favor of Joe Liberman.

Well, Lord, I ask that You would bring YOUR MAN to the fore. Who is going to run that has the qualities YOU would want in a leader? I do not know of anyone. So, Lord, find a man after Your heart and bring him into favor.

I pray such a man will come to our attention soon. Lead Your people to pray for such a man to lead our nation. Lord, show us who this man is and let us pray for him to be elected. Give us the inside info as Your intercessors. Tell us how to pray and who to pray for. Of all the men out there, who is it YOU want in office? Perhpas an unknown, never heard of.... A man has come to mind. Give me wisdom; let me pray rightly. Do not let me pray for a man who is not supposed to be in this role. Lead me in prayer, Lord. Bring us a man who will truly serve You as he serves our nation.

I lift this nation to You to be blessed with another Godly President.

Father God, bring Your PERSON to the fore -- I did not mean to exclude women. I so feel this one man would be awesome, but does he even want such a position? Do YOU want him to lead our nation? Find the man or woman that is Your choice....and promote that person to the forefront and cover him with favor. Let Your choice be recognized and elected. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Father God, send us the right person to be the next President. I pray that You bring that person to the fore and the attention of the nation. I pray that You will give them favor. I pray they are elected into the position of President of the United States, that Your eternal purposes may be served through them. Lord God, allow us to have a man/woman at the helm, who loves You with all their heart, soul, mind and strength, and loves their neighbor (fellow Americans) as themselves. I ask that we are sent that great and huge revival so long prophecied for America, and I pray the next president is at the heart of it. Father God, intervene in the current process of looking for and chosing candidates to run for President. Send us that person YOU want to get elected, and let us know and recongnize who YOUR choice is. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Lord Jesus, we do ask that you raise up the one you have ordained to be the next President. I pray we will recognize that one, and that all of your children would continously pray that a revival would come to America.

The Lord had me read about Gideon and David. I had previously wrote these two things about them.

Gideon Saves Israel From the Midianites

Judges 6 verse 12: "And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour."

Gideon was threshing wheat, hiding it from the Midianites when the angel of the LORD appeared unto him and gave him divine direction and a mission. Gideon asked the angel if the LORD be with us, then why is all of this happening to us (the Midianites had been their enemies for seven years)? Judges 6 verse 6 says "And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD." Crying unto the LORD involves earnest and heartfelt prayer. The LORD heard their prayers and sent a prophet who reminded them that the LORD had delivered them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of all that had oppressed them, yet they worshipped the gods of the Amorites instead of obeying the LORD's voice. Yes, the LORD was compassionate and still loved Israel despite their disobedience.

The LORD went on to tell Gideon that he would be the one to deliver Israel from the hands of the Midianites. The LORD told Gideon "have not I sent thee?" Please note that Israel was hemmed in and no man or woman was their leader or no man or woman could lead them to deliverance unless sent by God. Gideon heard these words and was flabbergasted! He said, "How can I save Israel? My family is poor and I am the least in my father's house." The LORD confirmed the call of Gideon, saying "Surely I will be with thee". Gideon was still doubtful and asked the LORD to show him a sign that it was God talking with him.

He still couldn't believe that the Lord would call him for this dangerous mission...why didn't the LORD call someone richer or better educated or someone with more prestige? I believe it is because God looks on the heart and man looks on the outer appearance. Calling Gideon for this job would be like having an ordinary middle class or poor American becoming President of the United States of America. Impossible with men but possible with God.

Gideon went on in the power of the LORD and fulfilled his divine call. He still was doubtful and asked the LORD to confirm his mission by putting out a fleece. The LORD honored Gideon's request and did so (Judges 6 verses 36-40). Gideon went on to defeat the Midianites in a miraculous way with a small number of men...because the LORD was with him. It is also interesting to note in the days of Gideon the country was in quietness (peace reigned). He went on to have many children and lived to an old age, yet after he died, the children of Israel remembered not the LORD their God and went a whoring after Baalim.

Does the LORD God still call "Gideons" this day? I believe he still raises up His men and women in answers to prayers. God still is in control of the affairs of the world and He promotes whosever He will.

Psalm 75 verses 6, 7 "For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another."

1 Chronicles 12 verse 22. "For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God."

Saul was dead, and it was time for David to become King. As a young man, he was anointed by the prophet Samuel, to be the King of Israel. However, Saul was king, and David had to fight some battles to get to the time and place where God wanted him. When this time approached, God sent help from everywhere...they were eager to make David king, and "were of one heart to make David king".

Why was this thing so? It was so because God had ordained it, and nothing could stand against His plans.

When your time of destiny comes, God will send help, and make straight the path wherein you should walk.

Lord God, I pray that You will find Your Gideon and prepare the way for him or her. Bring them fron obscurity into the attention of Your Gideon's praying army. It won't take a lot, just those You have called to intercede for this. Make us faithful. Do not let us worry about numbers. Let us know that the few You call are enough. We simply have to obey Your strategy to the letter. So, Lord, call forth Your Gideon and Your Gideon's army. Let us pray until this person is in The Whitehouse. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Yes Lord we continue to lift up the next President unto you. As I preached on King David this morning, where you chose him to be the next king, even though man could not believe it. You looked on David's heart, and caused the prophet Samuel to anoint him as next king.

Lord, for too long this country has suffered because of lack of a really anointed praying President. In times like these, we desperately need a man after your own heart.

Bring this one to the forefront, cause people to have favor with him, and cloak him with your righteousness and humility. Impart wisdom, knowledge and understanding, O Lord I pray.

Let this one you have ordained know his calling, and let others confirm this. Like in Isaiah 49 verse 3 where you said, "And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified". Let this next President be one in whom you glorify.

O Lord, bend down low, and heed the prayers of your people, and send answers so that they will know that you are in control of the affairs of men.

Brother Daniel said it well when he said, "And he changeth the times and the seasons, he removeth kings, and setteth up kings, he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding." (Daniel Chapter 2 v 21)

I pray that you not only lift up your man into the office of president but into all the places in which we will be voting in new people. I ask your will be carried out and that people of faith once again get out and cast thier votes. Protect this man or woman from those who would bring them down or speak against them. Set them into prominance against all odds. Let them be favored and voted into office as the president.

Father God - I too stand in agreement with the said prayer for the next president whom comes into office shall be a person whom is a God fearing person, a person whom is for peace and prosperity for all not just for the already rich, but for the poor low income families whom struggle day in and day out. Father God - allow this next president is for justice, equailty, and fairness to all. This I pray in YOUR holy ever lasting name, Father God that YOUR will shall be and will be done in the future election for the next president of the United States of America. Amen, Amen,Amen.. Send us a prophet, Lord. One after Your heart; one who stands on Your Word; one who does not bow to popular opinion. Send us a prayer warrior, who knows You intimately. I stand for a strong, strong warrior to lead our nation. Give us someone who enters boldly into Your throne room, who stands on the promises of Your Word. Send us someone that will not bow to the whims and pressures of men. There is someone who has seen Your face, been in Your glory, carries Your anointing, and You are going to reveal them to Your band of warriors, and we are going to pray until THAT person is elected President of the United States. Help us to pray as Your Spirit leads, not as we "feel" to pray and not according to our political leanings. Simply speak into the hearts of Your soldiers in the Gideon's army; tell us who to pray for and HOW to pray for them. We stand ready to obey. Call those chosen for this assignment, and let us be faithful to stand in the gap, to man our station and stay at our post. I commit myself to service in this army. Let Your will and YOUR WILL alone be done in the next Presidential election.

Father God, I pray that You will bring us the man or woman of Your chosing. We ask for a humble servant of the Lord who will serve this naiton. Send one who does not aspire to greatness in the sense of a world leader. But make them a world leader. Let them lead this nation to repentance and revival. Let them show a God honoring, God centered life to America and the world. I pray for a man/woman empowered with The Holy Spirit. Speak into his/her heart of what You have in store for him/her and let him/her be ready to step into his/her God given role. I pray, Lord, that he/she is FULL of The Holy Spirit. I pray he/she is a mighty warrior of God who knows how to put the enemy (the devil) on the run. Send us one who does not play around with his God or his faith. Send us a fire brand. I ask for a man'woman who leaves a mark of uncompromising faith and holiness. Send us someone like John Wesly who said he set himself on fire and the whole world came to watch him burn. Lord, You know where this person is. Pluck them from obscurity or possibly from very visible ministry for You....and set them in the office of the President of the United States. I ask and pray these things, in Jesus Name, amen.

Father God, send us a worshipper, one who worships You in spirit and in truth. I pray for someone who has gone deep with You. Send us someone who seeks You with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. I pray for a person who is HUNGRY for You, who can not live without You. Send us a person of no compromise, because they have become so close to You they breath Your breath and their heart beats Your heartbeat. Send us one who has moved out all distractions to seek You and find You. Father, send us a person who loves You more than life itself. I pray for one who has been ruined by You and nothing but YOU will do. Draw them deep, deep into Your Presence, and may Your essance flow from them. Let them walk in You, having put on The Lord Jesus Christ. Send us one who will do anything You ask of them, even serve You and this nation in the office of the President of the United States. I pray for Your will to be made manifest to this person and to us who pray for them. Bring this person to our attention, and lead us in the prayers to pray that they may be elected the leader of the US. I ask and pray,

Send us the person of Your chosing, Lord, to be over this nation. I pray that You will bless this nation with one who will lead us into revival. Let the enemy lose BIG!!! I pray we have a person who loves God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and their neighbor (fellow Americans) as themselves. I pray for someone who stands unwaveringly on the promises of God, one who does not compromise Your Word. Show this person plainly it is them you have chosen, and show Your prayer warriors it is this person You have chosen. I pray for somone who knows Your Glory, who has gone DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP with You, who loves You MORE than anything, including life itself. Send us a prophet, one who hears Your words and speaks them. Send us someone who hears Your heartbeat, because they still themselves long enough in Your Presence to hear it. Bring us a President who is in intimate oneness with You. Send us a Spirit-filled President, who has ALL the fruits of the Spirit in their life: love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, temperance and meekness. Father God, I thank You that You are able, and that with God all things are possible.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Here it is August 30, 2006...almost two years to go until the next Presidential election. You, O Lord, know who the next President will be. In your infinite wisdom, You have chosen this person for such a time as this. Even now, O Lord I pray, begin to fill this one with a special anointing of your Holy Spirit. Impart wisdom, O Lord, to this one like unto Solomon.

Heavenly Father, in a world that is running amuck, a Godly leader is needed for such a time as this. This one You have chosen may be a poor man but one that knows You intimately. Lord God, I pray (and others are too) that this leader will begin to rise. I remember how Brother Elijah prayed for rain, and there was not a cloud in sight. He prayed with power and faith, and then a cloud the size of a man's hand came in sight...and it produced an outpouring of much needed rain.

Lord Jesus, let that small cloud (for the next President) begin to appear. Put your hand on this next President, cause him to prosper in everything he does, and give him a mouth and wisdom which all of his adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. (Proverbs 29:2)

Lord, send us a person of understanding; send us a righteous person. I pray that we will be blessed with a president who helps the oppressed and hates covetousness. Send us a man who lives according to Your Word. I pray for one who is born again and Spirit filled. Send us a person anointed for the job, one hand chose by You. I pray Your choice to be the one elected next presidential election. Bring them to the fore and let us recognize them and pray them into office.

Dear Lord, thank You for the person You are preparing to be the next President. I believe that You will hand pick them and show them to Your prayer warriors in the Gideon's Army. I pray for a person so full of Your Spirit that all they see is Jesus Christ on that person. Let Your attributes rest upon this person mightily. heavenly Father I thank You that we already are blessed with a Bible believing president, a President who believes in You and asks You daily for wisdom and strength to govern this land and to be quick to respond to those in need and who stands for truth..I thank You Father for President Bush and First Lady Laura that You will protect them and Your Holy angels will watch over them and their daughters Lord that You will guide them Lord and I pray that media, and other countries Lord that constantly rail against President Bush that these attacks will be reversed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.I thankYou heavenly Father that President Bush is a man of great faith and acts on his faith, I ask You heavenly Father to strengthen President Bush when he is under these attacks and that he knows Lord that You are with him through all his trials and when we all stand before God we hope to here the words President Bush will here ..Well done thou good and faithfull servant! Thank You Lord that You let us have a great leader and President in an dangerous time as this. I thank You Lord that You give President Bush courage beyond measure Lord I thank You for this man and I ask that You bless him this very hour and continue to pour out an abundance of blessings for many years to come.Lord I thank You that no weapon formed against him or his wife and family shall prosper in Jesus name let it be so.

That thread now has 933 posts in it, and it has 13,488 views. I wish more of those viewing were posting. I have prayed and prayed that more people would post prayers for President Bush. We are commanded to FIRST OF ALL make prayers for ALL men....ESPECIALLY those in authority. The lack of prayers for our President bothers me. He is our brother in Christ, not JUST one in authority.

I also believe we need to pray for our next president, because we get the government we deserve. Prayer, more than votes, is what caused Bush to be elected. Before he was elected we prayed and prayed (I mean posted prayers) for him, daily.

I thank You for the pryaer for our President, for I am totally for him, too. Your prayer has blessed me. I just would like to see it in the appropriate thread, for this thread is for a different purpose, and that prayer really would be perfect over there.

Dear Lord, please do bless us with a wonderful president the next time. We prayed and prayed and Geroge W. was elected, and now we are praying for a great next president as well. I pray, Father God, for a prayer warrior and a prophet. They say Geroge W. Bush is both. I ask that this can be repeated. Send us a person anointed and appointed by You. Lord Jesus, I wrote this about why I love America. These are the reasons I am praying for our next President, aleader who knows You intimately.

love our nation because I was born here (south Georgia), I served my country for 21 plus years (16 active duty Army and 5 Reserve), and we have freedom of worship...Besides all that, my ancestors came to America in the early 1600s, and my family tree includes American Indian blood, English, Irish, French, Welsh and more..America is a melting pot, of the people, for the people and supposed to be governed by the people.

Over in Midway, Georgia (near Savannah), stands a little white church, and across the road is a cemetery. Underneath the grounds of this cemetery lies my great-great-great-great grandfather, and grandmother. Growing in the cemetery are huge, moss covered live oak trees (one has a 25 feet + diameter and is hundreds of years old). On my grandmother's grave lies the inscription.."A humble woman of God"..They were Puritans...so I have a spiritual heritage.

Lord God, send us the person You have chossen to be the next president. We keep this covered in prayer, so that we can have a person who does YOUR WORD. I pray for someone to continue the legacy President Bush has begun. Let righteousness return to America. Let revival come to America. Let the new President be a part of all that.

Lord, I pray that the person voted in will care for the opressed, but will know that government is NOT responsible for the well being of everyone. Give us a person who will preach personal responsibility as our forefather's did. I pray this country will return to sound judgement, Biblical judgement. If you don't work you shouldn't eat, it says in James, and that's what our forefathers said as well. Give us someone who will encourage us to pursue the original American dream....that of starting with little and building it into the much, that of pursuing our dreams and making a good life for ourselves out of diligence and hard work.

I pray, Father, that You will send us someone who knows You personally and loves You greatly. Lord, so many to choose from. Lead people to make a wise and right choice. Let them vote for the person of Your choosing. Let Your will be done in our next Presidents life. Lead them to be full of Your Spirit and ON FIRE for God. Let them be a man/woman of YOUR WORD. I pray for a Godly person in the Whitehouse, one who leads this nation to repentance and revival. Be invovled in this entire process to cause Your plan and purpose for America to be accomplished. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Lord Jesus, we continue to pray for our next President. May it be someone like King Asa (2 Chronicles 14 v 2 "And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God"). Because he followed You, O Lord, the land had rest, and he had no war in those years because You had given rest.

O Lord, in times like these, when there is trouble on every hand, we desperately need a man after your own heart to lead our nation. O Lord, prepare this one's heart, fill him with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I know, O Lord, that You are in control of nations, and indeed of the affairs of men. Show yourself, O Lord, with a mighty hand; help our nation I do pray.
