According the Daily Monitor a local newspaper in Uganda. Benny Hinn purchased two of the largest Porn Web sites in Uganda. Benny Hinn Ministries purchased Hot Ugandans and Kimansulo. They were know for their nude photos of women from Uganda.

Benny Hinn's intention was to drive people to his web site. This is a novel concept. Most would not have thought of going to a Christian site when looking for Porn. For years the porn sites have used fake names of movie stars and other things to trick people into coming to their sites.

Now the opposite is happening with a major Christian ministry.

The Daily Monitor said: "They say that fire is fought with fire and that is exactly what international televangelist Benny Hinn (pictured) is doing. We all remember the controversial web site www.hotugandans.com/ www.kimansulo.com that was known for nude photos of Ugandan women. As their slogan went, they dealt in 100 percent Ugandan booty.

When the media blew the whistle over these perverts, the web site was closed but it still had a lot of traffic with perverted Ugandans still checking on it to see if there was something new. Now what does a man of God do to reach out to lost sheep?

Of course you attack the pervert on his own turf. Now when someone types www.hotugandans.com or www.kimansulo.com, it automatically redirects the pervert to Benny Hinn's web site www.bennyhinn*****.

Now words like Ugandan booty, nude northerners, f**k and A*s have been replaced with words like, international crusade, prophesy, how to receive Christ, religion in the news, pastors fellowship and so much more. I'm glad I read the whole story! I though Benny had gone off the deep end. I'm not a fan of his, but that idea is the BOMB BIGGADDEE!!
That is very interesting. I hope people who are impressionable can be steered away from the lust and lured toward the Lord! I pray that no one finds a way to tamper into his sites or to cause them to crash.

WOW!!! And amen!!! And praise the Lord!!! Is this AWESOME or what??? This is a GREAT idea! I pray for MANY to be saved, not just spiritually, but women and children to be saved from the perversions of men who use such sites!

Lord God, I pray for many, many, many to be saved! To be turned on to YOU, rather than be turned on by naked women! Lord, I ask that You would LURE people into Your kindgom using this technology and tool. Father, this is WAY COOL! Save souls through this BIG TIME! Let these men (or women) come under the conviction of The Holy Spirit, with Godly sorrow leading to repentance unto salvation! I pray for us to hear of MANY miracles resulting from Benny Hinn purchasing these sites for the use of spreading the Gospel. This just thrills me! What an awesome God we serve to cause this to happen! Thank You for inspiring Benny to do this! I pray many are saved, healed and delivered through this. Let the fame of Your Son Jesus Christ be spread to many who would otherwise NEVER hear the Gospel, because they won't go to church or tune in Christian TV or radio. Yeah, what a tool! Do awesome things through this! I can envision entire ministries springing up from those saved wanting to help others get free of addictions to porn! Praise the Lord!!! Whoohoo!!! Do it, Lord!!! I read that paper regularly for one of my classes and I found the article quite wonderful. It kinda surprised me because I have read a couple articles which are against evangelists.

I bet there are quite a few very surprised people out there!

Wow...Lord thank you for Benny Hinn and I thank you for all that you are going to do as the result of Pastor Hinn buying that site.

I thank you for the souls that will be won unto you, I thank you for the deliverance and healing that will take place. Good job Benny,at first when I read the message,I was thinking the wrong thing. After I read it,I thought how clever,to do such a thing. In this day,and time,it takes different ways to get to people,and if it takes this,Praise Be To God. We have to find ways to lead people to Jesus. Sometime we hear of something like this and we may say Oh My God,but you have to read,and hear the whole story of the matter. That wich satan ment for evil God alowed for good. I too have often thought about this type of thing but did not have the resources to implement it. Way to go Benny. I pray that this will change some lives and convict many to turn to Christ as the answer.

I must say that reading the title that Benny Hinn purchased porn site, had be baffled a little for a moment until I read the entire story. It is very different approach to defeat the devil. But he went in with his sleeve rolled up and start fighting the devil these sexual petaphile on their turf. Some ministers are afraid to get their hands dirty or their 3,000 suites dirty. But I tip my hat off to those whom are not afraid to do JESUS' work, not afraid to go into the bowels of hell to save those whom need to be saved. Praise God for men and women of GOD whom are not afraid of getting dirty to spead the word of God to them.

You say Benny Hinn bought some porn sites. Good, praise God, some site taken from the Devil to be turned over to God's use. Some may serious;y question that or put Pastor Hinn down or it, but I can't.

When God lead our first Pastor who started a Church here in Perham, he started out in a fish house, then moved to a basement. then to the basement of a business. Then... a lease was up with a bar in town and the Church and Pastor got together and we funded paying for the building lease and changed it into a church.

God won out, for after we moved to a permanent building, the lease went to a clothing store and more.

I truly do hate to be the one dissenting voice here, but, I must be. I cannot agree with B Hinn buying a porn site for any reason. Would Jesus use this method to win souls for the Kingdom? I think not. There can be dangerous pitfalls when we try to win souls by entering into this kind of purchase.

Well, I personally believe, if God can convert someone like Saul of Tarsus, He can work thru a Minister of His to gain control over an evil site and remove its contents and turn it to God's use.

After all, God declares He can even turn evil to good. So... never doubt God or His ability.

Yes, maybe things have lapsed there for a time. But, I still believe God will do something good to Glorify Him thru this as according to His timing and purpose for His Will to be accomplished.

Jesus would never have bought a porn site or even the domain name. Yes, He miraculousy brought Paul to his knees to do His bidding. But there is no connection between the way God worked in that situation and Benny Hinn trying to use a porn site. We are not of this world and need to do only that which God would do to win others for the Kingdom.
I think as Christians today we turn so often to using wordly ways and think we are doing God's work. God was always above the things of this world when He walked here. Let us follow His example.
I truly do not mean disrespect to anyone here. I just think we do not examine or test the spirits when someone well known is involved.

Well, that may be what some think, but remember how the religious Leaders had thought Christ so terrible and in the wrong for going into pagan's- (sinners) homes and ate and spoke with them? That was against Old Test Torrah as well. Yet keep in mind, this is a "New Covenant" era, the "Church" era, where all sinners, Jew and Gentile are acceptable to be with God when follow the Gospel for Salvation.

Secondly- Jesus came for the lost, not those who already belong and are found. And Jesus did forgive the prostitute that was going to be stoned when caught in the act, right? so, yes, Jesus would have done such. If not, He would've never forgiven sins of people to heal them during His Ministry. He would have never told the Apostles, with the Holy Ghost and Power, they'd be able to do even more than He had.

Something to think about.

I think that if Jesus Christ lived in this perverted age, He would have very busy buying numerous porno and related sites and atheist sites on the web.

He would have perhaps visited and befriended leaders of notoriously corrupt and dictatorial countries as well.

Such a move would have certainly given the Lord of Harvest an unprecedented harvest of souls!!!

Benny Hill has done a noble thing! Praise be to Jesus Christ!

In agreement . Man thinks but God knows. Also man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart. We as Christians should applaud him (Benny Hinn} for making the attempt. That's one site that the DEVIL cannot use to demoralize the minds of WEAK people. I am sure the DEVIL did not tell him to buy this site because he ( the devil)wants)to entrap the mind and will of whomever he can. Maybe. now some one will seek the word for salvation of their personal soul, because there will be less distractions in their lives. It's good to hit the enemy in the pocket book, any way. That's why the enemy became angry with Paul (ACTS 16:16-19)

Christian Commando, Of course Jesus came for the lost!
That is the basis of all our belief! (And he left 99 behind to go and save one lost soul. He was sent to the lost.) But, Hinn's ministry using money to buy this site was unacceptable. I have good Christian friends in Kenya, Godly people. Perhaps some of the money that Hinn has should be used preaching to the lost and hurting in these places. As someone who has spent time in that part of the world, a better use of the ministry would have been hands on care for this poorest of God's people. I cannot agree with Hinn's ministry decision to buy the domain that he did.
That purchase was simply not a good use of funds in that part of the world. Food, water, and love are hard to come by in Africa.
I am sorry that this turned into such a discussion, and I will have nothing further to say on this subject.
Having carefully listened to some of Hinn's "prophecies" and then having then not come to pass, we simply must test the spirits. Indeed we are commanded to do so.

Dreamweaver, Benny Hinn is not fighting the war. But, many, many Godly men are there in Africa fighting the good fight. It is the ones that we never hear of that are the most effective. They are on the front lines. Buying that domain/porn site was good publicity though. But, little else...........

Jesus was criticized for eating with publicans and sinners....accused of being a glutton. Jesus let prostitues TOUCH Him, which in that culture was unacceptable to religious folks. Benny Hinn is not using porn to reach people. He is using the Gospel on a site that no longer peddles porn. Would Jesus not use any available means of the day to reach people? He used Peter's boat, because being out on the water amplified his voice. Using a porn site (that no longer peddles porn) is a modern day way of amplifying Jesus' voice. If I could get some old porn sites and use them to spread the Gospel -- then give me as many as possible!!! How awesome that people trying to find porn can now find Jesus, the answer to their deliverance from porn!

Dear Lord, I pray that this site really can be REDEEMED for You. I pray that if Benny owned the site, he is able to get this idea resurrected and going...will get all the porn off and use this for the Gospel. I pray, Lord, that You will have a mighty hand in shutting down on line porn and in getting old porn sites into the hands of Your people to spread The Gospel. I ask that people would no longer be able to go to these sites and feed their sexual addicitons. Let the demons be exorcized from these sites, and let The Holy Spirit take them over. I find it confusing that every answer to this question is what Jesus did. Yes, of course he sat with sinners. He loved the sinners, not the sin. Jesus sat with the least of what society of that day considered acceptable. There can be no comparison between Jesus sitting with, touching the "unacceptable" of that time and Benny buying porn sites. Benny Hinn does not move among the least of society or sit with them. He is a class of "televangelist" that is NOT moving among the people.
I find it amazing that people here say they would buy the same kinds of sites to reach the lost. The lost are outside your door. The are in your church. They are in the homeless shelters. Go there and sit with them as Jesus did.
Jesus walked among us. He had a love of touching and being with and healing His people. There is NO comparable comparison to how Jesus reached the lost and Benny Hinn's actions.
Love and touch people as Jesus did, do not follow the ways of some televangelists who do not spend time with people.
I am a social worker in NYC. I get so many chances to see the outcasts among us. There can be nothing more loving than using yourself to do this work. If everyone visited the lost and loved them and sat with them and ministered to them as Jesus did (NOT HINN) then the world would be a kinder and gentler place for the brethren among us all.
Follow Jesus example and use a hands on approach. Jesus reached His whole world using Himself and His followers. Let us follow THAT example and make no more comparisons between Jesus's ministry and the buying of porn sites. Jesus never needed the media. We are losing the human touch. There is nothing people respond better to than the one to one kindness of a believer. IT IS LIFE ALTERING. Do not be conformed to the things and ways of this world, follow Jesus' example and the work of His kingdom will be finished.

Dear Lord, I pray that porn sites will be shut down. I pray that Christians may aquire these sites to preach the Gospel. I am not sure what happened to the Benny Hinn site that he purchased, but I pray that You will get involved in seeing that it is used for the Gospel, as Benny Hinn intended. I pray, Lord, that You will give Christians EVERY POSSIBLE means to spread The Gospel, on the internet and otherwise. I pray we will help the homeless, as well as the hopeless addicted to porn who may be rich and sitting in their homes on their computers. I pray that You will allow everyone You want to reach to be reached. Lord, I know that You can do all things and with You nothing is impossible. I find it totally in the realm of possibility that You can transform places of ungodliness and turn them into places of Godliness. I pray You will do this with porn sites and other undesirable sites on line. Father, let us be Your hand extended on the internet as well all the work we are doing to the local people we touch in all walks of life. I pray that You will move in mighty power through such internet endevours. Let souls be touched and reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Let lives be transformed. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. And I believe we can use any means possible help him in that. God is not confined to the local soup kitchen or homeless shelter. Since we are not to let our left hand know what our left hand does, I won't try to defend who I help or touch. That is between God and I. But if I can preach the Gospel through an internet site, I do not see anything wrong with that, be it an old porn site or a site I set up on my own. I still have an awesome vision of people who are addicted to porn hitting on that site and finding Jesus Christ instead. If it's Do What Jesus Did, again he came to seek and to save the lost. And that was the intent of Benny Hinn purchasing the website.

It seems like your beef might be with "televangelists" in which case you need to turn these people over to God for His dealing. It is not our place to judge them, no matter how much we don't like what they are doing. I neither defend nor support their actions, here. I simply say I am not qualified to judge, and the Bible is plain that I should not. If I am in a position to discipline them according to Matthew 18, then I would have to do that if I had heard that they were in continuing sin. But with what measure I judge others, I will be judged. Judgement has been placed in the hands of Jesus Christ. The man who was forgiven much went out and would not forgive his brother a lesser debt, so he was thrown into prison and tormented. Therefore, truly and really, we dare not pass judgement on anyone. God knows the hearts. I beleive by their actions we can know them, so we can pray for their salvation if they are not showing good fruit, but if someone professes to be born again, we are to let God deal with them if we see things that we believe to be sin in their lives. I'm sure I have plenty of sin in my own life. They stand or fall before their own Master, as do I. If I do not like what I see -- or what I think I see -- I pray for them. To come into a public forum and criticize them gets no-one anywhere. There is no ministry called "sling mud" or "find fault" or "keep a record of wrongs." It is time for the body of Christ to grow up and start responding with the love of Jesus Christ to others (I include myself in this, because I do like to find fault). This has been a struggle of mine with recent stories circulating (true stories) in the body. We want to point the finger and say where these people are wrong. But the more I study scipture, the more I realize that I do not have a right to my opinion on another "brother" or "sister" in the body of Christ. Or should I say, I keep it between myself and God, and I ask Him to show me what's right and how to pray and to do what's right in dealing with them. I am not saying I am very good at this, as recent situations have pointed out to me my own fault in judging others.

Okay, think of it this way: these are people that Jesus gave his life for, just as He gave his life for you and me. He loves them with an everlasting love. Do you not think it breaks his heart to see His children fighting with each other? The "I am of Benny," "I am of Whoever" scenario? I am of Jesus Christ, is what all of us should be saying. We are all children of God (if we have put our faith and trust in Jesus and His death and resurrection for our justification), so we need to learn to get along and love each other as Jesus would want us to. Jesus did not die for me any more than that other "brother" or "sister"; I am not more "saved" then they are.... We are all called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (not our "brothers" or "sisters," though we can turn a backslidden brother or sister back to The Lord, according to James).

A teacher of the gospel is held to a higher standard according to the word of God. So Benny Hinn and all teachers must be extremely careful of what they do.

I am sorry that you have chosen to focus on what You think might be my attitude towards "televangelists" and not on the heart of my response.

Dear Sister in Christ, have you understood what "Evangelism" means? Do yo realize its what this "Prayer Board" does? But, that must mean Pastor Jerry wasted his evangelising money for this as well, seeing as how soiled internet is with filth and worldly attractions?

I ask Sister, that you rethink your stand on this as gaining internet sites for God, so His Light can pierce thru darkness on here evangelistically is no different than Pastor Hinn going to some remote or less evangelised Country. It fits right into his "calling" of God wether you accept that or not.

If we were face to face speaking here in this Country, it could be local Evangelism, but Pastor Hinn has clearly stayed within his "calling" of Evangelism around the world by taking on such sites.

Many times what we may consider is not of God can easily be, knowing He is going to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh in these latter days. No one person can reach everyone, but can cover more area with using all the tools God provides.

I find it interesting you come down on him from a "fame"direction, "Teleevangelist" "who does not move amongst the people".

hmmmm, guess I been watching the wrong channel then, as I've seen several of his recent Evangelistic Missions to other Countries. Now, if thinking Pastor Hinn is slacking in his Mission if took any time off, maybe you should read God's Word about the Apostles travels and how they took time off and on and gather together, break bread, discuss things, etc.

People who put God in a box and think thats all He can do or would do, are wrong. And No, Hinn is not Jesus, but Christ did declare His Church would do the same as He had and many more miracles.

God knew the world would change and there would be many more ways to sin or do good now, than in simpler ways to live of the past. Thus, God has to cover more groundto keep Satan quelled. And God's ways are not ours, so many things God will do, we won't understand, which I see for some in this case.

If everyone visited the lost and loved them and sat with them and ministered to them as Jesus did (NOT HINN) then the world would be a kinder and gentler place for the brethren among us all.
Follow Jesus example and use a hands on approach. Jesus reached His whole world using Himself and His followers. Let us follow THAT example and make no more comparisons between Jesus's ministry and the buying of porn sites. Jesus never needed the media. We are losing the human touch. There is nothing people respond better to than the one to one kindness of a believer. IT IS LIFE ALTERING. Do not be conformed to the things and ways of this world, follow Jesus' example and the work of His kingdom will be finished.

You spent the above post and two other posts saying Benny Hinn was wrong. Your attitude is very plain. You seem to not like Benny Hinn and in this post mentioned "televangelist" like that is something bad. So I do not believe I was thinking what I thought your attitude might be . It was plain what your attitude was.

The heart of the issue is that you want me reaching the local lost or those I can touch hands on or see face to face. But my view isn't far removed: let's reach the lost, near or far from us. Use any means possible to preach to the lost. Just because I can't look them in the face doesn't mean I can't reach them. Do you know how many people have been touched by this website, yet we have never looked most of them in the face?

But my view, too, is let's lay this to rest. Like Paul, let's praise God where the Gospel is preached. Let's agree to disagree on this issue. We can spend far too much time going back and forth, when that time would be better spent praying for the lost or preaching to the lost...or aquiring a website to preach to them. No matter what forum, whether hands on or on a website, I praise God where anyone is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ!

You haven't offended anyone here. But you will find, the group that works here have been Blessed by God to look at the "half full" side- (optomistic) rather than the "half empty" side,- (pesimistic). Thus, we will defend God's chosen Leaders, while also allowing for general discussions of subjects.

In doing so, not only are others taught by such exchanges, but also us too. thus, if we can all learn from this, we all grow in God by it. Thank you for experience of this exchange.

I was not offended, either. I simply wanted to point out God's ability to do and use anything to get Hiis message across. If I came on sounding offended, I did not feel that way. If I got in the flesh at all, I apolgize. I do get that way when pounding on some point.

I have seen Benny Hinn handing out food to the poor, anyway, so he does get involved in more than just preaching. But as an evangelist, it is his job to travel and preach, and if he is doing His calling, that's what matters. Using an old porn site to preach would be one more aspect of him fuliflling his call.

I am continuing to pray that God shuts down porn sites -- and if He takes them over for His Glory even better! That's one thing this whole situation got me thinking on: we need to pray that God closes down internet porn sites!!!

Lord, I continue to pray that You will shut down internet porn sites. I pray that You will also take them over for Your glory! I ask that miracles will occur, as we see the transfer of these wicked sites into the hands of the righteous to be used for Your honor and glory. I pray You will save souls through these REDEEMED sites! I pray those entrapped in porn will find these sites, once You have taken them over, and will find their freedom and deliverance from this addiction. I am glad I read this article cause I thought Brother Benny had done lost it. Great idea the porn sites use all kinds of sneaky ways to pull us in look up on google some innocent word or something for a project you'll find some porn in it I used rebel flag for my sons civil war project last year and we had some pop up. Even with safe search on. I like it. I think that was most definately a God idea.

Yes, well, I find it interesting so many back up Ministers until God leads them to do something Christ did- (Deal directly with past rejects and pagans), then come down on them like they are a disease for that, just as Christ was too.

I guess I never thought so many would drop thier faith in Ministers as much as do with God until a problem hits, then they are gung ** for God to help them.

When God's Word shows actions that are inline with what Pastor Hinn did, particularly God's Children, should acknowledge God's bold move thru Hinn to do this even without explaination.

We need to come to terms with the fact, off and on, as Jesus did, we too must go to Satan's front door and enter to clean house at times on his own turf. God strangely enough turned me back to Ministering in bars, after delivering me for good from alcohol.

Two Christians who used to follow me and taunt me about that. I finally challenged them to come in and help instead of malign other christians. They did eventually and low and behold took over that Ministry from me after about 1 1/2 years after seeing a couple souls saved and 3 others come to Church no less.

As a whole, we the "Body of Christ" need to wake up and start doing more of this. Do we just sit and look for negatives to catch another at? Or do we get off our padded seats and start helping?

There should be more discussions how to break down strong holds of Satan rather than questioning or maligning others trying to do so. The last statistics I'd seen in the mid 1990's, showed only about 18-20% of the whole Body of Christ were active in some sort of service to God. That is shameful.

Can we now then, knowing that, speak against Satan's accusations against the "Body" appearing like a joke? When it is Satan in the first place who influences members of the "Body" to speak against other members or question them or thier actions?

Where is the unity of the Body to be of "one mind and one Body"? Wheres the faith in God to believe in those lead who step out of today's conformity to go as God directs into something not seen happen for so long?

Lets not be so quick to question, accuse or stone another of ours for taking a bold stand for God outside the "norm" we usaully see otherwise. Rather, ask why aren't we so bold as to try things like that ourselves?

I pray for a migthy breakthrough in porn sites being used for the spreading of the Gospel. Shut down porn sites, Lord, and let them be resurrected for Your use. I pray that when people are clicking on their porn links, they are finding the message of Jesus Christ instead. Just as sometimes, when I am searching for a Christian site, porn tries to get in. I pray that You will really, really turn the situation around that we see today -- of (so I hear) thousands of porn sites on the internet. I pray that You will take whatever means available and possible to You and see that these sites are being closed. Then, I pray Christians will get them and use them for You. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

I agree with that, CC: we are too timid. I know I am. We need to see and claim every tavern as a Church! And sometimes we need to set foot inside and minister. . . .not that I ever have. I am bolder in my prayers than in my actions.
