Be responsible?

Is there anywhere in the bible that says something like to be resopnsible and be mature? And not give up easily just because someting minor is on the way?

I would like to share this with my bf because he is a bit inmature sometimes, he always want to give up when there is a problem, doesn't matter big or small.

I want to encourage him to be mature and to be responsible. And to know that solve the problem is the only way to get rid of it but not running away or just give up.

Please kindly help me.

Hi Lulu,

The entire book of Proverbs is full of great wisdom. If your boyfriend will read the Word, he will get the message. Pray that he will be able to understand and that God will lift the veil so that he can learn of Jesus and His wonderul gift of Salvation.

Some of the scriptures are:

Be angry, but don't sin.
It is not wise to provoke someone.
You should honor your Father and your Mother (and if Henry is your boyfriend then it is important that he too, honor your Dad)

Your Dad is concerned for you. Be an obedient daughter and God will Bless you. Please pray for them all....and yourself too.

Do i still need to be obedient to my dad even if he doesn't want me to go to church? He was saying really rude words about me going to church.... really rude words..

She didn't mean your earthy father. She meant Your DAD -- God.

There are plenty scriptures on being mature. That's what most of the Bible is about -- telling us to act and become mature in God/Christ.
