Broken Dreams

Hello...

I had a dream since I was a boy to join this research Institute. I prayed day and night to god so that I may get selected. I was rejected twice before. This time I gave a nearly perfect interview and had been praying every waking hour. Still the result came today and I have been rejected again.

Question is did god betray me... did god betray the trust I put in him... if god is against me who can be for me... Oh my Lord I trusted in you

If everything in the world is dictated by causality... why is prayer for???

If prayer doesn't work then I have lost my faith in this life... and I might as well die

A boy's dreams are his life... I had this dream for six long years... and today it lies broken and shattered. Why god why??? What gain did my tears give you? Oh Lord I ventured into this as I thought that this was my calling... oh god why didn't you help me on my way...?

But why is god so cruel? Why does he have to shatter my dream again and again? I would have used it for god's glory. Why did you let me down god... why?

Oh god it is not fair...
It is not fair to make a boy cry again and again
It is not fair to break a heart again and again
It is not fair to steal something so precious as a dream again again
It is not fair to give pain to a soul again and again

Oh Lord why did you snatch the only dream I had in life... why my dear Lord why?

Pray that I don't lose my faith and end up killing myself... I am very close to it.

Zisc,

It is so tough to have a desire and dream for so very long and to cry out to God for the answer and the answer always seems to be "NO!" Especially when you felt God was leading you that way.

If God has shut this door over and over again, it could mean He has something better for you than this job. If you know Him as your personal Savior and Lord He will take care of you and lead and direct you to the job He knows will meet your need. Or, on the other hand, it may not be time yet for this job you so want and the next interview you get may be a "yes, your're hired,"

It is very possible that He is protecting you in a way that you are unable to see right now for He knows what is best for you.

Zisc, God knows the entire picture. He knows the beginning and the end and even tho it feels and seems like He is rejecting you or not answering your prayer, it is because------

He has a reason for the way He does everything. He has a purpose and a plan for your life and He knows each stepping stone you need to walk on to get to the place He wants you to be, for your benefit and His glory! His Word says "a good mans steps are ordered by the Lord!" He is in control and He knows each and every step you take and where you are to go next.

It can be very exciting to see what the Lord is up to next in one's life if you put your faith and trust in Him and Him alone.

I have no doubt that years down the road, you will look back on this situation and say to yourself,-----I am soooo glad that God did not give me that job for what I am doing I like so much better and it has worked out better for me in my life. My own husband has experienced that along with our sons so don't give up just before He has an even greater blessing for you!

Trust in the Lord and lean not unto your own understanding and He will direct your path. He will make your crooked path straight!

He is not a cruel God and He loves you so much that He is not wanting you to go the wrong way. We do not know what is always best for us even tho at the time we think we do but He does! This shows you how very much He loves you!

You must learn to know God as your Heavenly Father and see that He is even more caring and compassionate than your earthly father or mother. your earthy parents would not want you to go the wrong direction either and would do everything they could to prevent it.

I pray for you Zisc that you will not give up on the Lord nor yourself for that is the easy way out and could be just before a phenominal breakthru in your life. Also many times just at the point we have totally given up, that is when the Lord can really move in our behalf. Giving up and and giving God the surrending of our will can sometimes be the very thing He is waiting for us to do!

There are times, more than once that I have questioned God as to what on earth was He doing in my life as it didn't pan out to be the way I thought He was leading me. But I always found out later that He was directing me the right way all the time. He knew best!

I pray peace for you Zisc and that you will know you can trust in the Lord. I pray that the Father God will encourage you today and that He will minister to your broken heart and wounded soul and show Himself and His love to you. I pray He will comfort you as an earthly mother or father would comfort their child.

May the Lord wrap you in His busom and rock you in His all loving and compassionate lap. and may He put His tender touch and hands all over and around you that you might feel His divine presence and assurance that you would know His way and answer could be protecting and keeping you from all harm.

Haven;t you ever heard truths from people that was upset because they missed an airplane for a very important mission or job they had to do in their lives and they were so shocked to find out later that the exact plane they were to be on crashed and everyone was killed?? God was protecting and directing their steps and it was not their time to pass on.

God always knows best! I pray zisc that the Lord will bring you into a full knowledge that you can believe and trust in Him, that He cares about everything in your life----even more than you do.

He is a Father that is faithful to His promises but He will bring them forth in His way and His timing. We are to continually keep trusting, believing and be patient on His will coming forth in our lives.

I have had prayers not answered before Zisc when it -----

(Number 1)

it wasn't God's will in my life,

(Number 2)---- it was not time yet for the answer, or

(number 3) I was praying with a wrong motive

(number 4)

or I was praying amist or if----

(number 5,)

i had unforgiveneess, anger, bitterness or hate in my heart against someone, and it kept my prayers from being answered and hindered the blessings of God in my life.

I pray this has helped you in some way Zisc and that you would keep in touch with us on this prayer website for we care about you but most of all, Jesus loves you. Please reply back and let us know what Jesus has shown and done for you.

dont give up on your dreams! they were put their for a purpose! God wants you to obtain your dreams. the enemy devil wants to steal those dreams from you. you need to stand up to the enemy and take authority In Jesus name. confess fear and doubt. start confessing victory and that God is looking for a favorable position for you.
you gave a perfect interview - leave it in God's hand now. put your trust in knowing that GOd will open doors that no man can. You know what? God has the ability to still open that door for you to enter!!
God will never give up on his children. He hasnt given up on you but he cannot work where there is fear and doubt.
i was without work for 6 months until i started praying and confessing unbelief. i started praying for favor over a new position and favor over the people i would be working with. i was offered a position in a great company with total favor and working with 5 christians in my dept alone. we all get along great together. ive worked there now for almost 3 years.
i never knew about this until i was just praying over my situation and was depressed like you were. it turned around when i confessed the unbelief that God was in control of my life and he will direct me in a positon that i would love to be in. you just have to believe - like the bible states over and over again. believe that he loves you and give no room for the enemy to put terrible thoughts in to your mind. take captive all doubts and loss. cast off unbelief and anger. start praising God for this new position and you will see answers.

Lord be with this 26 year old man. Lord show him that You owe him nothing nor are You the one who creates delay or lack of provision in a situation. You are not the snatcher of dreams but the creator of the mind and heart that allows them to be dreamed. Lord help him to praise You and set his priorities so they include You. Lord he desires this research position. BLESS him with it but show him that You must be central to his dreams. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Dear zisc,

Try to look at this from God's point of view.

You decide what you want, your dream.

You demand your own way. You tell God exactly what you will accept or you will begin to yell at God and call him names and threaten suicide. ("I guess a boy will die with his dream.")

Come on. Why should God respond to that?

The irony is that if you did die you would be standing in God's Presence and He could tell you what you want to know.

I think you need to take another look at your dream. It seems to be all about you.

God gives you the desires of your heart. It doesn't say that you can have anything you want if you yell and cry long and loud enough.

Try finding out who God is and what HE wants you to do with your life.

It might be something just wonderful.

Hello all,

Many thanks for praying for me, I am still alive and what's more god has opened another door for me

Today I received an offer letter from another institute which is just as good as the institute that rejected me. So the good Lord hasn't let me down, he was just testing my faith where I failed. I am sorry god, I should have trusted you.

Thanks again for praying for me

Here was a lessson for all of us to take to heart. I learned this lesson in a different way.

I had gone completely blind in one eye in a very short time. Soon after that my entire left side refused to respond and was limp. So being the great prayer warrior that I was (thought, pride goes before the fall), I took myself away and set down to some serious prayer.

I listened to my scriptures on tape, I played my healing videos, I spoke healing words constantly. Two friends drove an hr. to come see me and ask me to come back into town and get me to the hospital. NO, I WAS BELIEVING IN GOD. On the third day I was arrrested by my ABBA FATHER. As He replayed my tape, it became very very apparrent that l had made it all about me. Conviction overwhelmed me and I repented right then. I then called both friends, asked their forgiveness. Because I did not have my car I now needed a ride to the hospital as the situation was not getting better. And God in His mercy had already sent one of the dear ladie's out to fetch me, whether I wanted to go or not. She was there within minutes of my repentance. I had done all the right things for all the wrong reasons.

My husband met me at the hospital and we immediately agreed together; God was in charge and He had already arranged for the best of the best and we were just along for the ride. And believe me I got the best.

Through the ordeal that I went thru I learned some very valuable lessons in my life. Trials sink our faith roots down deep. Developing an ear to discern the difference between the Father's, the son's and the Holy Spirit 's voice leads to greater discernment. And by distinguishing each I have developed a much more intimate fellowship.

I pray that our brother use this whole experience to grow from a youth into a mature man of God and turn around and raise another son up to maturity. Glory to God!!!!!

Good afternoon,

I know that it is difficult to pray for something continuously and not have it come to pass when you want it to. The tricky part to prayer is living by faith. Sometimes part of waiting for the answer is the trial. Surely the word says that God will grant us the desires of our hearts. Part of the peace and joy of being a child of God is knowing that He does grant us favor! Don't loose your faith, just know that sometimes God's time table is not our time table. I can tell you this because I speak by example. Just believe and wait on God. He will bless you in His time

Father in the name of Jesus, grant favor and patience as this dream unfolds. Thank you Lord for answered prayer. Amen

Zisc, please don't give up on God. He would not give you such a dream or desire only for it not to be realized or manifested . God is still working on it. Satan is lying to you and deceiving you, making you think ti wont happen. Praise God for working on your problem for the battle is his. Don't give up hiope or loose faith. epp your chin up and keep asking, seeking, knocking. God Bless You Brother!

I am so glad for you!

Now aren't you glad God didn't answer your prayer, but made you wait for something so much better?

I know God has wonderful things, amazing things in store for you.

He seems to have entrusted you with gifts and talents that He can use to His glory.

Congrats on the new place...

Lord, thank you for being so patient with us. Thank you for your wisdom and grace. Thank you that you know what is best for us and that you work consistantly on our behalf towards that goal. Forgive us Lord that we doubt you, that we get discouraged and want to give up. That is not from you - that is what the enemy wants us to do.

David wrote in the Psalms many times feeling so alone and lost and frustrated with His circumstances, yet he always came back to realization that without You he would be nothing, without You he would have no hope, without You life would have no meaning.

Thank you for your kindness towards this child of yours and helping him get closer to his dream - may You recieve glory and honor through his life and praise for your tender mercies that are new every morning.
Praise You, Praise You dear Lord Praise You!

Hello all,

Many thanks again for your prayers and encouraging words... I have accepted the research internship offer from the other institute and will be starting in about a fortnight.

The lesson I have learnt from this is that the good Lord should be at the centre of my life and not my own dreams. I have learnt that lesson the hard way with lot of heartache in between... Never again shall I attach something so closely to my heart, because I know that anything other than the Lord's love is temporal.

God bless you all.

That is absolutely wonderful! God's plan for us is so much bigger and better than what we can ever imagine for ourselves!

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER,ALMIGHTY GOD THROUGH JESUS YOUR PRECIOUS SON I KNEEL AND ASK THAT YOU LET YOUR CHILD KNOW THAT WHEN YOU ANSWER NO IT IS NOT TO HURT OR INJURE US BUT TO PROTECT US FROM DESASTER, AS A PARENT DOES NOT TELL HIS CHILD TO NOT PLAY IN THE STREET FOR THE PURPOSE OF HURTING BUT FOR PROTECTION AS HE FORESEES DANGER AHEAD FOR THEM.
PLEASE GRANT YOUR PEACE AND UNDERSTANDING TO YOUR CHILD AND REASSURE THEM OF YOUR LOVE AND WISDOM THAT YOU ALWAYS DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM. AMEN AND AMEN
