Gardenias for Joy

I've asked for prayer for my daughter, Joy, and her husband, David, and son, Joshuhua, as they move from England to south Georgia to live with me for a while. They fly into Jacksonville, Florida today. She has a special surprise from the Lord awaiting her.

Joy's favorite flower is the gardenia. I have four large gardenia bushes and four miniature gardenia bushes. They normally are in full bloom during the month of May and most of the flowers have faded by mid June.

All of my gardenias were full of sweet smelling flowers this year...except one. It is now in full bloom...the Lord saved this one for Joy to enjoy as she comes back home.

Two of my gardenia bushes were grown by planting small cuttings from the large one my late mama planted by our old home place over 40 years ago. The one now in full bloom, and the one right beside it whose flowers have faded were started from the old bush.

I see the hand of the Lord in this. Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.
