Please pray for me. I have done as much as I can for our kids ages 16-24 and they have little respect for me. My husband does not care if they respect me or not. I really need prayer. I have tried to do my best as a mother and feel like a real failure.
Love in Christ,
Peggy

Welcome, Peggy. Thanks for joining us here on the prayerboard.

What a difficult position to be in!

That must be so frustrating and discouraging.
Lord, I come to you in prayer for Peggy.

I ask you to comfort her heart and hold her close.

Show her just what to do and say in each situation.

Send her real and practical answers.

Thank You, Lord, for Peggy.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Peggy, bless you. You are sweeter than I. I would have gone on strike as far as my children are concerned. They still need/want Mom to do some things for them. Disrespectful children (young or old) have few privileges in my home. I do little for them with those behaviors. Don't jump to do the extra favors for them. No cooking, laundry, money. I worked in an adolescent and children's behavioral hospital for almost 5 years. You should get good results. They will go into shock at first.

Father, I ask You to reinstate Peggy as an authority figure worthy of respect in her children's eyes. I ask for her husband to regard her as someone worthy of his regard and inforce this to his children. Father, put this home in order. In Jesus' Name I ask these things. Amen.
