Lord I pray that you would help this dear child of yours and help them to find a way to work through this grief. It is hard to work through grief and the fact that this one was not even able to attend the funeral of their brother because they were not notified of his death makes it even harder. I pray Lord for your tender mercies, I pray that you will give a vision of peace - one of hope - and a sign from above to comfort.
Lord we know that we must forgive (Your word says 70 x 7 so it is pretty clear that we have to forgive) - your example Jesus is one of great forgiveness towards us - where would we be without You and Your tender mercy? Praise you Jesus for your priceless gift of salvation and mercy!
Lord I pray that this dear child of yours will be able to forgive this sister in law and show the love of Christ no matter how justified they may feel in treating the sister in law with rejection, retaliation, etc. it is not what You would want Lord Jesus, go we especially pray for grace, strength and peace for this dear child of yours who needs your tender love to reach down and cradle them.

Hurry, Christine! It is so important to forgive quickly.
God's hands are tied on this.
He has declared that he cannot forgive your sin until you have forgiven others.
That is why he warned us, so that we will make good decisions on this.
That's all forgiveness is. It is a decision and a declaration.
"I choose as an act of my will, and empowered by the Holy Spirit to forgive ______________ . I forgive them and I release them to God, in Jesus' Name."
A decision and a declaration. Simple as that.

I Will Certainly Pray For You To Forgive Your Sister - That's A Path I've Been Down Myself And I Know Our Heavenly Father Sees That As A Prayer He Can't Refuse! 
Just A Thought But Personally I Have Found It Tremendously Helpful, In Trying To Forgive (in Addition To Prayers For That Which Are Of Course Essential) Is To Keep Pushing Any Thought Of How They Wrong Me Out Of My Mind. My, How Suprised I Have Been At Times To See What A Treadmill My Mind Was On! Also, The Devil Is Behind All Negative Feelings Of Course And If Every Time You Pray For Your Sister When You Think Negative Thoughts (if/when You Have Time) Then He Hates That And For Me Anyway I Saw The "attacks" Lessening Greatly.
Praying For You And Your Sister To Make Good, Good Memories Together.
