Middle East Prophetic Word, Cindy Jacobs 7/17/06
The Middle East
On Monday morning, the Lord spoke to me a very strong prophetic word concerning the Middle East: “The same Spirit that stirred in Israel to fight during the 1967 war has awakened once again in the land. The Lion of Israel is on the move. It will not stop until it has wiped out and pushed back the enemies of Israel from the land.”
Damascus will eventually be a target.Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49:23-27 speaks of judgment against Damascus and Syria. The Lord spoke to me four years ago to watch Syria – it is not a friend of America. He also said that we are looking to other nations but Syria is a real problem. I believe they harbored weapons of mass destruction in the desert for Saddam Hussein. Remember, it was on the road to Damascus that Saul saw a great light and God sent a prophet to speak to him.
Pray for Lebanon. This is a land greatly loved by God and is referenced for its beauty numerous places in the Bible. Pray for Christian publishing and television in the area. Pray that the terrorists will be exposed and expelled from this land.
Iran is ancient Elam. Jeremiah 49:34-39 is going to take place. If we pray, God is going to “break the bow of Elam”. Verse 37 says Elam will be dismayed before their enemies. Leaders in Iran say only 10% of their people support the current head of government, but he has the money and military power. However, verse 39 promises that it shall come to pass in the latter days that God will bring back the captives of Elam. We believe for a great move of the Holy Spirit in that region. Pray that God will overthrow all those who oppose Him and His people.
God is on the move in the Middle East. Watch Afghanistan. Islam is an Empire spirit and the Al-Qaeda from Iraq have regrouped in that region. They want to “take back” that territory from the United Nations “occupation”--as they see it. We must pray for Afghanistan and the soldiers stationed there.
Renewed prayer for the capture of Osama bin Laden. He represents the “strong man” who began this cycle of violence. Pray that God will expose all of his haunts in northern Pakistan.
God loves the people of the Middle East. We need to pray for this entire region. Prayer groups across the Middle East are joining together to form an Isaiah 19 Highway of Holiness in prayer (see Isaiah 19:23-24). Chuck Pierce prophesied in 2001 that we were entering into a 7-year period of war. Pray that God will shift the whole region by 2008, and we will see a great harvest of souls. Pray that God will use all this to turn the hearts of the lost to Himself.
The United States and England
The Lord spoke to me at 2:00am two weeks ago that we are to pray that those involved in the black Islamic movement will be exposed. He showed me that a sector of the black Islamic movement in the United States is becoming radicalized; especially in the south, and that the hot bed for this is traditional black universities and prisons.
The word I heard from the Lord was, “Simultaneous attacks are being planned.” I then saw a line being drawn from Miami through the south of the nation. The Lord particularly highlighted Mobile, Alabama. He told me to call John Kilpatrick, whose ministry is based in Alabama, and tell him to “mobilize Mobile”. I called John and asked, “What is in the city that the terrorists would want to hit?” He said to me, “the port.” Please intercede for that city.
The terrorist attacks then jumped to Seattle, Washington; then onto Washington, DC and the Metrorail subway system; and then to New York. After that, I saw the attacks jump to London, England. What I understood was that attacks on the countries will be synchronized to put fear into the hearts of the people, showing that terrorists can strike in more than one nation at a time. These attacks will not just be from black Islam, but other Islamic groups as well.
Effective Prayer
In January of 2006, a group of prophets called the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE) gathered together in Dallas, Texas. Seven of the leaders heard the Lord speak to them about a terrorist attack on Chicago, Illinois. We prayed for Chicago at that time.
Additionally, during our Shift the Nation conference in Washington DC June 22-24, 2006 God spoke to me that Florida was a key to turn the nation in the mid-term elections. We prayed for Miami, and the next day the news reported that seven people were in custody in Miami who were connected with a plot to attack the Sears Tower in Chicago (Bohn, Candiotti 2006). Continue to pray for Chicago. Remember what God had spoken to me about New York two weeks ago? Plots to set off explosives in the railway tunnels running from Lower Manhattan to New Jersey were exposed after the Lord spoke this warning to me (O’Neil 2006).
The situation in the Middle East does not surprise God. I encourage you to renew your prayer for the Middle East and Israel, as well as the cities the Lord showed me in the vision I recorded. It’s time to mobilize the body of Christ to violent prayer!
