"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears,(when He comes back for His church) we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure".

None of us have 'arrived' yet. If you are honest with yourself and with God, like I try to be, you know that there's a little hypocrisy in each one of us. There's even a little false doctrine in each of us, because no one knows it all. I'm not where I want to be (with God), but I thank God I am not where I used to be (without Him).
When Jesus comes back we will recognize Him because we will be just like Him. But between now and then one of us is going to have to change----
AND IT'S NOT GOING TO BE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!
Father, I know that within my own heart are the seeds of all good and also the seeds of all evil. Help me Lord this day to choose good. Help me, Lord this day to choose right from wrong. Help me this day, Father to speak life and not death. Father grant me Your grace to do the will that You have desired for me from the time You created me. Help me to focus on You and what You want me to do, and not to concern myself with the affairs of others.
Father help me to practice true religion: to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and clothe the naked! Father help me today to be kind to all Your children, especially those that persecute me. Lord forgive me for the mistakes I have made. I have sinned against You and You alone. Wash me from head to toe with the blood of Your Son, Jesus. Fill me again, Lord with a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit.
Search my heart now, Lord and take away anything and everything that exalts itself agains You. Father help me to live in peace with all not strife. Bridle my tongue Lord, that I only exhort and edify, not criticize or judge.
Father help me to show your mercy and grace to the widows and the orphans today. Lead me in all Your ways. Bring Your word to life in me each day, each moment. Let my spirit be guided by Your truth, Your love.
Father, give me this day my daily bread both in the physical and the spiritual. Feed my body and my soul today. Lord as I forgive those that do me wrong, forgive me also Lord.
Father, bring Your kingdom from heaven down to earth today. Manifest Yourself today in me and around me that those I come in contact with today, will see Your light shine through me.
Lord I will preach the Gospel daily---and if necessary, I will use a few words!
These things I pray today, in Jesus' mighty and glorious name!

Dear Lord, I stand in agreement. The Revelation passage You brought to my attention says to do the first works or what we did at the first.... Is that taking care of the fatherless and widow and staying unspotted from the world? It says there we did all these good and right things, but that You had this against us: We had forgotten our FIRST LOVE. So, Lord, draw us near to Your heart, so near that we hear Your heart beat and do the the things that Your heart beats after. In Jesus Name, we pray these things, amen.
