The Way of the Word
Part I

Matt 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is THE WAY that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is THE WAY which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

There is only one way to Truth, which is Jesus Christ, the Word become flesh. We know that salvation only comes through Jesus Christ, and no other. There are no other options for salvation. One Way, one Truth, one God. The only way to salvation is to be born again by the Spirit. However there are many who are Believers who have gone through the wide gate, that live in the path of destruction, who live in the path of defeat, who live in the path of un-satisfaction, un-happiness, lack and even poverty. Are they still going to heaven? Yes. Could they live a better life in Christ? Yes! But they have to go through the narrow gate. The way of the Word. The challenge is to get the Believer to “BELIEVE” the Word and not delude or tamper with it. The Word does not have “opinions” it is One Truth, and One Way. When the Word speaks it is a done deal. The Word of God is His will for your life. There is no “maybe”. When the Word says that He took stripes for our healing, then we are healed, not maybe or some day healed. When the Word says that He became poor so we can become rich, then we are rich, not poor. When the Word says you have purpose, then you have destiny and you do not need to wonder if you are called. The Word is not an option. The only option you have is to believe or not believe the Word. The Word is narrow minded, or single minded. That’s why a double minded person, cannot receive anything from God. A double minded person is not seeing any sort of the power of God in their life. The double minded person is not getting their prayers answered, because it is not the way of the Word. A double minded person doesn’t know the will of God for their life. If they knew the we will of God, they would be single minded and not accept anything else, but the Word. They tend to think “if its Gods will for me to be healed, then God will heal me.” Or “if its Gods will for me to get that job.” The single minded Believer KNOWS its Gods will for them to get that job, because He has called us to be abundant, to multiply and increase. The single minded believer KNOWS its Gods will to ALWAYS heal, because the Word says we are already healed. We must become single minded Believers, renewing our minds daily to the way of the Word and what the Word says about us. The Word is precise and accurate, it always hits the mark. The Word always knows where it is going, and what its purpose is. It never says, “maybe”, the Word always says “yes and amen”. When we hope with the worlds hope of “I hope so”, or “maybe it will happen for me”, or “some day in the by and by” then we have tampered with God’s will for our life and we have chosen another way, we have chosen the wide gate of destruction, because un-belief will not bring God results into your life. This is why the Word says the narrow way is the difficult way, and there are few who find it. The gate is your mouth! Your mouth is the gateway to life or death.
Prov 13:3 He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. NKJV
Ps 141:3 Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth ;
Keep watch over the door (gate) of my lips. NKJV
What comes out of your mouth will be your choice. Will you choose the way of the Word that is narrow and single minded, or will you choose the wide gate, the way of destruction? If you choose the narrow way, you must learn to bridle your tongue, and watch what comes out of your mouth. Make sure only the Word of God is coming out of your mouth, speaking the will of God for your life and others. So you are actually guarding the Word of God that dwells in you. For the Word is near you, in your heart and in your mouth. Guard it! When a circumstance comes against you, to tell you that the Word of God doesn’t work in your life for that particular situation, it is up to you to guard that Word. The enemy always comes to steal, kill and destroy the seed that God has planted in your heart. You must guard the Word that He has given you. Guard every prophetic word that He has given you, guard every rhema word that He has given you, guard every promise that you have received for your life out of the Word of God. I hear someone saying, “how exactly do I guard the Word of God?” When something hits you that is contrary to the Word of God, you tell it “no!”, and do not receive it. The wrong thing to do is to talk about your problems. The Word says we water our life with the words we speak. The Word of God says you can “have” what you “say”.
Matt 21:21-22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain , 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

So if you are confessing your problems to people you are causing a root to grow, and allowing that problem to take root in your life. When you are talking your problems, you are not guarding the Word in your life, because the Word cannot work when you talk against it. So you don’t’ want to talk “about” your problem, you want to talk “to it” with the word of God. Find out what God’s word says on the matter, and speak the word over that situation or problem. Don’t talk about it, talk to it and tell it what you need it to do, and remind that thing what the Word has to say about it. When you learn to do this with faith and authority, you will begin to see your circumstances obey you.
The narrow way becomes less difficult for the Believer who learns to abide in the Word, who meditates on the Word. The more you mediate on the Word of God and allow it to become a part of you, the more you will see the Word become flesh in your life, or the more you will see God manifest in your life.
John 8:31-32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." NKJV
Jesus said if you abide or live in my Word, then you are His disciples. Notice Jesus said “if”. In other words it is a choice you make daily to abide in His Word. Abide in the Greek is a “place of living”. You dwell in that place. The Word is a place. It is a place of performance and manifestation. It is a place of God results. It is a place of prosperity and abundance. It is a place of healing and health. It is a place of righteousness, peace and joy. You live and breathe the Word of God in your heart and in your mouth by meditation day and night. The Word is where you are to live as a disciple. When you mediate on the Word it is then that you will know the Truth, because meditation always brings revelation and light. The Word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. The Word will be your light and guide through the narrow gate. The Word will give you light so you can see where you are going, because the Word always knows where its going, and what its purpose is. As long as you abide in His Word, you will always know where you are going and what your purpose is.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way , the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.(Word) NKJV
No one comes to the Father except through the way of the Word, Christ.
The few who find the way of the Word are the ones who make a choice to believe the Word no matter what. No matter what circumstance that comes against you, no matter what mountain you are staring at, no matter what storm you might be in the midst of. Don’t settle for anything less than what the Word has promised you. The Word works!
