One of my sisters just came from seeing "One Night With The King" and she said, " it was BEAUTIFUL." Long story short, it was interesting how she is still on and off disappointed with God and YET, the HOLY SPIRIT lead her to see this movie. She told me, " she was telling God before the movie started how she didn't even want to see and she didn't know why she was even seeing it. As she arrived home she also shared how she felt peace, Amen. Now thats the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT, amen!

I'm VERY EXCITED to see this movie this Sunday afternoon!!

GOD bless all and GOD BLESS this special BIBLICAL movie, " one night with the King, " in Jesus mighty name, amen.

PS: can anyone please let me know why did Haman want to kill all the Jews and why was his tribe killed by all the Jews? I was told Haman hated the Jews because they killed his tribe. And the reason why the Jews had favor with God to do this was because Haman's tribe was like Sadam, they killed their own and especially the children, innocense. Is there any truth to this?

The book of Esther calls Haman an "Agagite," which means he came down from King Agag, an Amalekite. I just read in 1 Samuel, Chapter 15, and the reason they went to battle against the Amalekites is because of "that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt." King Saul was told by the prophet Samuel to wipe out ALL of the Amalekits, EVERY person and ALL animals. But in the Bible it says Saul kept the king alive. Well, this was a sin. He was suppossed to destroy EVERYONE! So Samuel took a sword and hew Agag up in pieces. Sorry. That's what it says. That is the only info the Bible gives, unless it's repeated in another book, as some of these stories are retold in the books of the Kings. Anyway, since Haman is called an "Agagite" they assume he is King Agag's offspring. The movie makes out that King Agag had a queen who fled for her life, pregnant with Haman. And that makes sense that Haman would then hate the Jews. His entire people was wiped out by the Isralites.

I pray this movie leads to your sister's salvation! It is a "beautiful" movie. It's spellbinding. You sit there and just watch it....you don't look around or get distracted. I believe it is going to have a huge impact in many ways.

Hello JeriRose~

I was able to see "One Night With The King." It was beautiful and I felt it celebrated obedience to God, love, hope, courage and destiny. It was simply outstanding and I hope to see more biblical epic films in the future.

King Saul was told by the prophet Samuel to wipe out ALL of the Amalekits, EVERY person and ALL animals. But in the Bible it says Saul kept the king alive At the very beginning of the movie, I noticed all Haman's people were killed by the Jews and there was a little boy left. According to my sister, this little boy was the offspring of the queen that escaped, he then grew up and became Haman? My sister explained how the queen survived and that's when peter o'toole became upset because she wasn't destroyed and escaped with child. I was under the impression at the beginning when all Haman's tribe was killed only a little boy survived and he was Haman? I must confess, I'm a little confused here. Can you please clarify....I would grately appreciate it.

Thank u and God bless,

Lorena

PS: Why doesn't anyone else in this message board make comment to "One Night With The King?" I felt it was such an incredible touching epic film that will leave a lasting and empowering impression in Hollywood, as well as nation wide, amen!

I do not comment on movies in general simply because they are all too skewed from the truth to bother with as your confusion shows.

Hello akabezalel, thanks for acknowledging my comment. Please don't misunderstand, the epic biblical film was lucidly explained. I'm the one that is confused, moreover, I have questions because I want to learn the truth. I figure there are many wonderful faithful christians on this message board that would help me clarify the confusement. I will not get paranoid and stop watching all movies just because I think it will confuse me, " for greater is HE whom lives in me then he who lives in this world." I need to see and search for the truth if I don't understand something. I also read the bible but it is hard to understand. However, I know God will give me wisdom to understand as I'm spiritually maturing. God is awesome. Furthermore, I also need to prepare myself with the truth incase someone asks, " why this, why that, etc.. about the movie." We need to have and gain knowledge by fellowshiping with others as well as from reading the bible. But as I mentioned before, there are many words I don't understand in the bible so I look for other ways to help me undestand, such as asking faithful christians.

Sincerely and with all respects,

Illuminate

I did not see the little boy. I saw the queen running off to safety. She was preganant with Haman at that time. I do not know of the Bible mentioning that there was a queen, but it does say in the book of Esther "Haman the Agagite," which is where I believe they base this idea of Haman being descended from the Amalkites and their king, King Agag. I would have to better study the Bible time lines, to see if Haman was the son of Agag, or was he a grandson or great grandson or born even further down the line. Saul was the first of many kings of Israel, or later, after a split occured, Israel and Judea. Esther is a book that comes in the Bible a few books after the book of Kings. That does mean the events came that long after that cronilogically. OK, here it what it says: 1 After these events, King Xerxes honored Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, elevating him and giving him a seat of honor higher than that of all the other nobles. So Haman was not Agag's son, but was a descendent of Agag, his father being Hmmedatha.

I agree the movie is beautiful. I am praying that next weekened is even more busy than the first weekend.
