Healing of our grandson Dylan

Dylan is 11 years old and was born with spina bifida. Surgery was successful at that time and for which we continue to praise the Lord.

However, due to his rapid growth his spinal cord became tethered and started to affect his walking. He underwent surgery on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 to release the tethering. The operation was a little more involved than was expected as the surgeon had to remove a cyst.

He is losing feeling in his legs but can still move them. This appears to be normal as the spinal cord is in shock. He took two steps last night but was very wobbly.

We covet your prayers for the following that:

1 - Dylan's spirit remains positive because as an 11 year old he doesn't understand "Why is this happening to me?"

2 - His bladder and bowel functions return to normal as these are usually the first to disappear.

3 - Feeling returns to his legs.

4 - His parents' (and grandparents') spirits as we all Endeavour to keep a positive demeanor when we visit with him.

5 - The process of learning to walk again will be quick.

6 - His pain subsides as he is at the maximum dose of morphine already. Fortunately, he has a very high tolerance to pain.

Lord, I pray for Dylan's body to be functioning normally. Let his bladder and bowel functions be normal; let him be able to walk; remove the pain from his body. I pray he is off morphine or any other pain killer. Father, touch this young boy as only Your miraculous power can. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Father, I thank You for providing a good surgeon for Dylan. I ask that all his parts function as You intend them to. Restore total function to this child and remove his pain. In Jesus Name I petition You for his health and thank You for the progress that has been made. Amen.

Father God - I stand in agreement with this family Lord God, for a complete healing and recovery of Dylan Lord. Father God, anoint this little angel of YOUR"S and bless him with the understanding that YOU Lord God have control over this situation with his body dear Lord. Father God, bless this young man with much favor Lord God. This I pray in YOUR holy ever lasting name Lord God, Amen,Amen,Amen... Be bless dear sister in Christ for God is an awesome God. He will always make a way even when it seems griem.
He is always there to make a way for us even when we don't see the path in front of us.
