Hello everyone,

First I want to say that I do not participate with anything that has to do with Holloween because it's plain creepy to me, not to mention, it makes sense that it isn't of God because it's mostly about scarying people. In any case, I wanted to know where in the bible does it state anything about Holloween so that I can show one of my sisters and friends as to why I don't celebrate nor contribute? I'm very much against this day because I simply feel the wickedness, however, many people are accustomed to going out and trick or teat with their kids, which is why I need to know so that I can share the WORD. I would grately appreciate any information about Holloween in the bible.

Thank you in advance and have a blessed day,

Illuminate

illuminate,
Go to the website openheaven.com and you will find an article on halloween that tells all about its history etc, etc. it should be easy to find, if not, type in the word halloween on that website and hopefully it will lead you to it. if i have the time i may look it up and copy and paste it on here but don't know if i will find the time.

it is one of the satanists biggest holidays and you are right it is an evil holiday that we as christians should not be a part of!

In the Bible there are 365 scriptures containing "Fear not." One for every day of the year! So.... why would we participate in a holiday that promotes fear?

What I always do on Halloween is pray, usually with fasting.

My church is having a bg carnival, but I just stay home and pray for the safety and protection of everyone and for the devil's plans for Halloween to be stopped.

I am not sure about giving out candy. My pastor thinks we should be the most generous people on the block, because it's the one day a year all these people come to our door, and it will give us a chance to be a witness in our neighborhood.

Still, I have heard too much about what the witches and satanists are up to on Halloween, so I set aside uninterrupted time to pray.

TBN is having a Halloween special called "No more monstors" or the like. So I will go watch that.

Thank you Chris and JeriRose~
I appreciate the suggestions from both of you. I'm feeling extra sleepy this evening but I must pray before I retire for the evening.

Many blessings to both and God bless,

Hi people. Just thought I'd drop a note about this subject.

It's been documented that Holloween was originally started to imitate Christmas in relation to Christ, but Holloween for satan. Thats why when people do programs at Christmas and dress up in Middle Eastern clothes to play parts of people relating to events surrounding Jesus' birth, so also satan has his so called celebration by having people dress up in charactors that are related to his following.

God Bless!!

Hello Christian Commando. All this truly makes sense, would you happen to know this information might be documented? This really does make sense.

Than you and God bless,

Hey Sis in Christ, yes, I would, but... you'll have to go thru the U.S. and maybe overseas archives under the heading of country and holidays. Years ago, I did this by postal service. (Took quite awhile for all my past researching then). Now, you can get it quicker thru the internet. Thats where it's documented.

Just know that you may have to choose by internet, what I had to by mail- if wanted reliable or unreliable-(unproven), documentations. I always took the reliable. There were always listings of books, documented writings, surveys, investigations and more about such things.

Sometimes there are offers to other links such as books about studies, etc that were done and who authors or investigators were who did them.

God Bless you in your search!

I love Halloween! For awhile I loved Halloween more than Christmas because you rarely hear kids whining at Halloween time- GIMME GIMME GIMME

I decorate my house for Halloween, not with skeletons and witches and gory things, but with lights and pumpkins. My kids dress up usually as something non-demonic. I love to stand outside, drinking my coffee, listening to Christian music and giving out candy and Bible tracts!
Last year I got some very cool tracts from our youth pastor...when you opened them and kept on reading the paper unfolded into a Cross.
More teens go out trick-or-treating than attend church. What a great way to witness to lost children (MANY who will never hear the Good News!).

We had some "monsters" come to the door and they got the same wide smile and HOWDY from me as did the princesses and Winnie-the-Pooh's. I thanked all the children who came to my door for coming.

I believe Halloween is what you make of it.
True the Bible says "FEAR NOT!", so why fear a day of the year?

I love autumn and I think for next year I want to buy custom-made pencils (from Oriental trading or some other mail-order place) and say something like JESUS LOVES YOU or FEAR NOT or something like that and hand those out with Bible tracts.

Let's take Halloween back from the film industry and the media who've turned it into a scary dangerous holiday (the only child to receive a razor in his apple came from his own mother) We can have safe fun and share our faith with those who only know the holiday as a free candy day

A website called fisheaters (Catholics) has an excellent page on the historic and Church stance on Halloween and the 2 days following Halloween.
