Pray for Ted Haggard

Do not concern yourselves with the details of this story, but pray for Ted. Pray for all ministers of the gospel today. Pray for all leaders in authority over you, as the decisions they make have consequences in your own life.
Sad to say that Ted Haggard resigned today as President of the National Association of Evangelicals.
Pray for his congregation, his family, his friends, and for the message of Christianity.
The devil roams about like a lion seeking who he can destroy. He comes only to kill, steal and destroy. Put on the full armor of God. Aim your weapons--not at the person, but at the source! Call on the Holy spirit for guidance. Avoid distractions. Focus!
Judge yourselves with the word of God. "Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall."--1 Cor 10:12

I am fasting and praying for Ted. This situation seems like nothing more than an attack from the devil. The person who accused him would not provide evidence, though he said he had it.
We need to pray that the "One man, one woman" definition of marriage passes in Colorado and that the domestic partner's rights bill fails to pass. The devil would love for the voters to get sidetracked from voting the Godly and righteous way because of this. Colorado has many, many Christian organizations (Focus on the Family was working with Ted Haggard on promoting the first bill and defeating the second.) This state has struck down pro-homosexual bills in the past.
We must pray for the complete and total truth to be revealed regarding accusations against Ted.
Dear Lord, help Ted and his family at this time. I pray for comfort for all. I pray that the TRUTH is revealed! Lord, I pray that his church remains strong and supportive in prayer. We pray that You will intervene and blow away all lies and smoke screens. We pray that these allegations will be dopped if there is no truth to them. We pray that every plot, ploy and plan of the enemy will be defeated. Let the total and complete truth emerge QUICKLY!
Father, let The Assoicaton of Evangelicals continue to fight for the Bible principles that will shape their vote on these homsoxeual issues. I pray that marriage will be defined as "One man/one woman" in Colorado. We also pray that rights (the same as a man and a woman married to each other have) are not given to domestic partners.
We ask and pray these things, in Jesus Name, amen.
(Something is coming up on the local news channel regarding this, with Ted Haggard speaking about what he did or didn't do....but they can cut and past the tape to say what they want....So keep on praying that the total truth comes out, with no questions or doubts.)

Lord, I come to you in prayer about this whole mess.
Please flow through this with healing somehow.
We cry out to you for this man and his family and friends.
Guilty or innocent, they are in a world of hurt.
Straighten it out, Lord, and heal our land.
I continue in prayer for the Gay community.
Help us to love and care for them and seek them out for healing, one by one.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Father God, we pray for healing for all involved in this. Whatever the facts are, we ask that those who need healing are finding that healing in You. I pray that those who are hurting will come to You for healing. Heal Ted Haggards family and church and also heal Mr. Jones. We pray that all of them will find what they need in Jesus Christ and will not be looking to any but You for satisfaction and fulfillment. We pray for healing and restoration in all situations and relationships. We pray for the strength of the Association of Evangelicals and for them to continue to pursue their goals. We leave this situation in Your hands, commiting it to the dealing of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name, amen.

Lord, You promised to expose all sin. What is done in private will be exposed with light. Lord, in my own life I come to You and repent of all my sins. Forgive me, Lord for I have sinned against You and You alone.
Lord, I pray for all ministers of the gospel--which is all of us. Help us to speak words of life, today not death. Any one of us at any time could be considered a hypocrite by someone else. Help us to live what we say and to do what we say also. And help us to make sure what we speak is in accordance with Your Holy Word.
My mom used to say, "But there except for the love of God go I". Lord we all stumble and err. Forgive us and strengthen us today. Help us Lord to do what we have been called to do, to be who You have called us to be. God, grant us this day Your mercy and grace. In Jesus name.

Father God, we thank you for bringing this sin to light. Lord, we ask your Grace and Mercy upon Ted Haggard. Lord God, heal his brokenness and heal his family, heal his many followers who only saw the light of Christ in him. Lord we decree that according to your Word, He is forgiven, when he asked! Lord, I believe he has asked, and I believe you had already forgiven him.
Father, let this be a lesson to every one of your children. Father, I ask forgiveness for NOT praying for our Pastors, and Teachers and Brothers and Sisters in the faith. Lord, it is great to know you love us even when we sin. We are so thankful for the work of Jesus on the Cross, by which our sins are forgiven. Lord, thank you that you see us as pure and clean because of the forgiveness Jesus gave us by taking our place in judgement. Lord we are so thankful.
Father, I ask that you will bring to rememberance the many Pastors and leaders that we are responsible for praying for. Lord, let us not forget, or count it as not important that we pray for our leaders. Lord, your Word says that we need to pray for all those in leadership. Let us stand in the gap for these. Lord, let our hearts be humble enough to seek someone to share our pain with that will still love us and not judge us, but will help us and pray for us. Father, we all need help and each of us has some form of pride or embarrassment over our sin, and we fail to ask others to pray for us. Lord, God, Let us learn Your Truth and walk in it every day.
Father, we ask that YOUR WILL be done in this mess. We ask that YOUR WILL be done in every area of our personal and family lives. We ask that YOUR WILL be done in our churches, our cities, states, and in our Nation.
The Battle is the Lord's. Lord, we give it to you and ask your Mercy and Grace in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior. AMEN and AMEN and AMEN

It is a ban on gay marriage that they are trying to pass (not sure if that's the one man/one woman definition).
They want to strike down the domestic partners rights bill.
Pray that Christians will vote for righteousness and not back off because of this! We still must vote for Godly legislation and Godly people!
Also, Ted was an advisor to President Bush, on the phone with him every week....so many will not want to vote for Godly people.
Lord, we pray for ALL in authority -- from the president to the pastors and ministers to the Sunday school teachers. These people are to be examples of Christ, and we pray for that to be the case. Wherever there are those in leadership who need help because of hidden addictions and sins, we pray that they will find that person they can trust and will share their struggles. We pray they will have a safe place to go. Wake up each of us to our responsibility to find others to be real with about our sins. We all need somone to be accoutable to. Leaders of Ted's magnitude, who are going to others with advice, may find it hard to know who to go to. Show our leaders and pastors and evangelists whom they can trust and who will help.
Father, the article asked "How will evangelicals recover?" Help us, Lord, to keep our eyes on You, not on the situation or the man. We need to say, "My faith was not in Ted, it was in God," and keep on going. Lord, many will say this shook their faith and they quit on God....Tell them plainly it is not God's fault this happened; it is not Jesus who is to blame for this. They must keep on with Jesus, not give up because one of His followers is human and sinned. Lord God, draw Your people into close and intimate relationship with You at this time. Let them know that we WILL recover just fine....and so wiil Ted when he asks for forgivness and reaches out to You and to others for healing. We rejoice that You are in control and none of these things move us. Our faith remains strong and intact. We continue to stand for what is right and vote for what is right. We look to Jesus The Author And Finsisher Of Our Faith cotinually.
Bring healing to Ted's family and church. We are not that close to the situation as they are. We know how hard it must be on them. Give them unshakable faith. Let them support Ted in restoration and healing. We pray for grace to be extended to Ted, just as Your grace was extended to us. Let those around him come to his aid in helping him to find his way to healing and wholeness.
Father, we repent for not praying for our leaders (especially those in the church) as we should. We ask that You will remind Your people to pray for those who labour in Your Kingdom. Father, we pray for strong leaders who are personally victorious, not just publicly putting on that image.
We ask all these things, in Jesus Name, amen.

Lord, we continue to pray for healing and restoration in this situation, and we pray for the truth to revealed if these were just lies. We pray that Ted is surrounded by Your love and forgivness, and that his family feels Your loving arms at this time. Let his church continue with support and let them pray faithfully for him. We pray for Your very best for all involved and for Your Name to be glorified.
Let Colorado see the defeat of rights for domestic partners, and let them see the ban on gay marriage passed successfully. We ask voters are even more determined to get out and vote. We pray they will refuse to be set back by this situation.
We ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.
