The Skagit River is supposed to flood between Monday and Wednesday night. Flood stage is 28.0 ft. and it is supposed to crest at 35.0 ft., which would cause major flooding. So....Keep us in prayer. It is supposed to flood from Sedro Woolly to Mount Vernon. I don't know about this area in particular, as far as floods, since we haven't lived here during a flood. There is a resevoir fed by culverts near us, and when we moved here I wondered what the chances of it flooding were. Anyway, I am praying God averts the whole thing and NO flooding occurs. I pray He can find ten perecent righteous who are praying for our county. Please pray in agreement.
So windy it was shaking the house last night, and the wind is thowing rain on the window as a I type, so pray for an end to this storm. The weather site shows this weather through Wednesday. Thursday is supposed to be sunny, then it shows more rain for the 10th - 14th (Friday - Tuesday).
I also read it is supposed to down eletrical lines -- storm this past Friday did some of this already. Pray for my saftey as I walk to the bus stop and home.
All prayers SO appreciated!

Now, they are saying the river will crest at 37.9, and the flood warning is extended to Friday.
Pray for ALL of Western Washington, as all of the rivers are on a flood watch/warning in the western part of the start.
Have not gotten local update, but I heard they are sand bagging and much flooding over roads, etc.

Lord, I stand in agreement with JeriRose. Lord, show your mercy and hand of protection. I especially pray for your Children Lord, that you will keep them safe. Father God, protect the people and the homes. It is in the Name of Jesus that I ask. AMEN

The river floods about this time every year, and someone on the bus said the worst is yet to come....that the week before Thanksgiving is the worst time here. Well, we are in a lull right now....The river is receeding and the Pineapple Express storm has passed. We are supposed to get more of this banana belt (as I call it) next week. Today it is cold, so the snow should be freezing, which is VERY helpful. I thank you for your prayers. So much less worse of a flood here than predicted. It was said if they would dredge the river like they used to, this would not happen so much. But the cab driver tonight told me that they won't dredge the river because of the salmon....Isn't the flooding bad for the salmon getting upriver to spawn? Anyway, that is the latest, and I continue to pray that for no bad flooding in the rest of the month.
