Father God, You alone know as to deceptions, but we pray that this war or "skirmish" is over soon. Lord God, let Iraq rebuild their own nation, so that our troops may come home. I beleive our President was truly in this to protect our nation, the thing which he pledged to do when he was elected President. We know that nearly every person in Senate or House agreed something should be done about Saddam Hussein, though most of them won't admit it now....or say they would handle it differnetly.
At any rate, our prayer is that people will quit arguing and start praying. We need to pray our troops home. You know what needs to happen, so they will be brought home, and we pray that WILL happen. Send angels to war in the heavenelies and back up the angels already there, that this battle may be over and our troops may be brought home. That is our prayer.
I pray that people will not be standing on street corners protesting the war, for that is a great disocuragement to our soldiers. Do not let them be treated as though what they are doing is useless or wrong. They fight to defend our country, and please let them know they have our support.
Lord, I ask and pray these things, in Jesus Name, amen.

MaryanB, it would be really great if you would not thinly veil accusations about our president in prayers. We are not called to accuse (that's the devils role, and why would we line up with him?); we are called to pray. You put it up as a prayer, but obviously you just want to rail on President Bush. It matters not if he is right or wrong, we are still called to pray. The Bible says in Jude:
8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
9Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
We are not to accuse others, for the devil is the accuser of the brethren. We should be encouraging and uplifting others in prayer, not bashing them.
When President Clinton was in office, I prayed for him. We know that he did not live according to The Word of God in any way, yet I still had the responsibility to pray for him.
We have more responsibility to pray for President Bush for he is our brother in Christ. We are told do good to all, especailly those of the household of faith. (Galations 6:10)
