Snow bound

We had an artic blast, and now it is snowy and icey all around....most of Washington and down into Oregon. Keep us in prayer. Many spin outs and people stuck.... many missing work, because can't get to work. Roads are sheets of ice, and the temp is so low that the ice probably won't melt any time soon. Temps are a good degrees lower than is normal for this time of year. They are saying until Thursday it will probably be like this....just snow and ice remaning due to low temps. Then, it could rain or maybe more snow in some areas.

I am sitting home from work. I feel for others missing work or who have lack of business.... Keep us in prayer for winter finances. Right before Christmas is not a good time to miss lots of work. I am too far from work and have to get over a major hill to try to slip and slide or brave deep snow to get there. Don't know if busses are running....got stranded waiting for one one year. So just been home for the last two days. It's hard....

Prayers appreciated.

Lord
You have given us these seasons
now is the season for cold, winter and ice
Keep safe those that travel on the roads
God make swift those who clear and salt our roads
Bless people to reach their places of work
and to safely return back to their homes.
Bless the business and work
of all who have need of such.
I especially remember Brian/Christian Commando
as his work is seasonal.
God help us to do what we must
and to do it to your glory

Thanks for the prayers.

They say another cold front is coming in, so it could cause more snow, icey rain, sleet or all of the above. So then it would really be messy on the roads. Not sure if that effects right here or other areas.

Some people were stranded in houses, due to trees that fell against house. The deputies in that town were checking on people who needed food and some who needed to get out to doctor's appointment.

Lord, keep people safe. Give us wisdom in dealing with these conditions. Keep pipes from freezing, so all have running water. Provide the supplies needed for all who can't get out. Cause this to pass quickly. I thank You for the acts of kindness shown by bus drivers, deputies and others. Work things for the safety and protection of all. Give bosses mercy on workers, telling them to just stay home until it's safe to be out driving. I thank You that You are protecting Your children. Supply financially for all who need it, and allow us to be back at work as soon as possible. I praise You for hearing and answering.

Jerena,
More time to pray and read your Bible

Father, I ask for protection and warm homes with the supplies needed for those who are stranded in the cold. I ask that medical and security workers will be able to attend their jobs and go home for their rest. Send workers to those who need help for medical or other reasons. In Jesus Name I ask these things. Amen.

Thanks for the prayers, Linda.

Father God, I am praying that the incoming cold front is stopped, in Jesus Name. Let there be heat instead of cold coming into this area -- specifically the 1-5 Corridore and corresponding freeways, up to the Canadian border and on down into Oregon. Let people not have to sit (or try to drive) through more snow and/or ice. I pray that You send heat into the atmosphere. Perhaps, angels will flood into the atmosphere, causing heat to be there, holding back or obliterating the cold. Let The Holy Spirit, Whe broods over the Northwest, release His fire into the atmosphere, so that what is spiritual also effects what is natural. We pray this all moves off. Heat the sun up to higher than forecast, so this melts. No more snow showers, we pray! No icey rain or sleet!

Thank You for the vision of the showers of blessings (as in snow showers) that You revealed to me. How in the winter of our lives (what seems the bleakest time), You will pour out blessings, HEAPS of blessings as we have heaps of snow. I am believing for HUGE blessings this winter! I claim those showers of blessings that You have spoken into my spirit! Let us have showers of blessings here in the Northwest, which also lines up with prophecies for this area. Financial as well as spiritual blessings. We are believing for SHOWERS of Your Holy Spirit outpouring, in signs, wonders, miracles, healings, SALVATIONS, deliverances, transformations and finances. Thank You, Lord, for doing it!

Lord God, keep all safe as they travel, all safe as far as food and supplies and medical help. Move this off SO QUICK that that is no longer an issue.

(My niece said she would drive me to work if I wanted to go....pray for a safe trip there and back.)

O dear gracious God, please bless Jerina during this time of strandnessness. Please bless others in the area, touching the hearts of managers everywhere helping them to understand the difficulty of others getting to wirk in treacherous conditions. Please most graciously grant Jerina favor during this time. Please continue to provide for her greately and abundantly. Please still make certain that she has plenty for Christmas. Please don't let it stay frozen for long. I ask of you in Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

Father, keep Your hand upon Jerena and others who have had to miss work due to the snow and ice. Father, I pray that all of their needs are met. Father, also protect their homes and the roadways. Keep all of those who brave the roads to travel to work or whatnot, keep them safe. Father, be with each one and keep all safe. I pray for safety and provision. Bless each one, I pray. Amen

Father,I pray in agreement. When you said you would give us the desires of our hearts, I believe it includes all things, which includes the safety during the cold weather season. Allow Brian to remain employed by giving him other jobs that will take care of his needs. In Jesus name. (With you, dear Lord, ALL things are possible. Praying in the anointed name of Jesus.

Thanks for praying with me, beverlyjoy, Janet and Nina.

And I come in agreement for Brian to be well employed and taken care of financially, as they go through a cold snap, too. Also, keep him safe in travels on icey roads and keep all safe in that area as well.

Reach into Colorado and all other places where cold fronts and storms are coming in.

Let us have a minimum of or no tradgedies during these difficult winter months. Protect and keep safe all who live in snow bound or icey road condtions.

In Jesus Name, amen.

Due to the storm many people here on the olympic peninsula of Wa. have been without power. Yesterday afternoon two sixteen yr. boys were found dead in the garage overcome by carbon monxide while filling the generator. It is not a large community and the peninsula has suffered many deaths of our young people in the last six months. It is not just the I-5 corridor hit. the peninsula has anywhere from 6" to 3ft. of snow dumped on us and expecting more today. We have many people in RVs who are suffering from the power outages. Our friends found an 80 yr. couple without propane and it was 46 degrees in their RV. Please hold up in prayer the PUD crews (had to bring in many from around the state to assist) and road crews (we have many mountain roads) while they try to do their jobs. Blessings!!!!

Lord, thank You for those who work so hard during these kind of conditions -- city crews, line men, medical workers, etc. We pray that You will assist them in their work in keeping us as safe as possible. They do have to go out on the trecherous roads and the in the inclement weather. I pray for protection for all of them; put an angel guard around these public servants. I pray that they will have enough people assisting to do their job to the most quickly and efficiently. Aid them in getting the problems fixed quickly.

We pray, too, Lord, for those who are shut in and can't get out, those who have no-one to aid and assist them. Send help to them. I heard the Meals on Wheels of the Senior Center was shut down, but open again today. I pray they can get out tomorrow to take meals to those in need.

Lord, freezing rain predicted. Right now, it's raining and only 34 degrees here. So I pray that this all heats up, and we aren't back on icey roads. Father, send a change in the atmosphere temperature. I don't get why the warm front doesn't change the cold front, and why it just sends down rain into the cold front that causes the rain to freeze down in the colder zone.... Curious. But, Lord, You can change all this. You can reverse the cold front into a warm front and give us plenty of warmth for NO freezing rain.

Lord, keep people safe. NO more deaths. Send angels of protection into dangerous situations people face. I pray that those who need medical help and food can get it. I pray no-one else dies of carbon-monxide poisining. Let angels of protection be sent.

Power outages many places. Let people stay warm enough until the power is restored. Provide ways for them to stay warm and cook and whatever else they need to do.

We ask for a quick passing of all these conditions. Let the weather clear and let the roads clear. Thank You for moving in and changing this around for the safety and protection and prosperity of all.

(Made it to work; my niece took me. Debating tomorrow, as it might be really trecherous roads again [freezing rain]. The boss said he might close early if it snowed a lot, but it's only rain. I wish it would snow enough to just close, then I wouldn't have to worry what to do....and the warmer temps would help it melt off -- supposed to be about 40 degrees by the weekend. Hmmm.... I also heard more snow on Sunday.)

Thanks for the praryers, all. You are in my prayers, Sonrise, as our many other affected. Many power outages in Whatcom County, too, and some in Skagit, and I'm sure in many counties.

Praise the Lord, it's warming up in many areas -- out of the teens, now. Many place are still cold, and they had more snow. Here, the rain melted off a lot of the snow, but it also froze up solid on the road at some point. The road seems slicker than before.

There are many power outages about the region -- one area just got power after four days !!! I've never been in the dark that long, and in Sumas, where I grew up, we had a power outage at least once a year.

So....keep those in prayer who are driving on ice packed roads, those in dark living quarters, those who can't get to work, those who need medical attention, those who need food or other supplies.... Just keep us all in prayer for safety, protection, etc.

The front moved over some and is hitting the middle part of the States with an ice storm. Pray for all people in incliment weather of this type anywhere.

Thanks for praying.

I am trying to find a way down to my bus stop, as the sidewalks are some clearer in spots, so that I can walk on pavement. Surprisingly my shoes (non-slip for work) have a fairly good grip on this stuff.... didin't think they would.

Better get going.

(They said on TV roads are much easier to drive on, so maybe just the lesser used roads, like the ones by our house, are in ice packs. The sanders and de-icers were out ahead of the storm.)

O dear most gracious God, please have your greatest mercy upon these people who live in Washington state! Please keep them safe and warm. Please look out for them and take care of them. Please see to it that all of their needs are provided for and met. Please do not allow any of these people to go without. I ask of You in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Father, thank You that Jerena and others are able to venture out to get to work. I continue to pray for favor and mercy over their finances. Father, continue to watch over everyone affected by this storm. Bless them all. Keep them warm and safe. I pray for a covering to be upon each one. So be it, Amen

Posted by: JeriRose12

Well, I made it down to the bus. Main roads much better -- very main were mostly free of ice and snow. So, even though I was sent home way too early (due to labour worries), I was able to get there.... Metling off all day, so I am praying that continues. Up to 37 degrees here, so out of the teens. Good stuff! Manager said go ahead and come in tomorrow, because she expects it will melt off (pray it does!), and we will be busy again.

Lord, I pray for the safety and help of all who need it. Not just in the Northwest but in any and all states affected by snow and winter storms. I pray for these storms to be at a minimum. Take the blast out of the winter "blast." I pray that these storms pass quickly -- or are totally stopped by our prayers. Thank You for sending aid to all who may be in incliment weather conditions and the resulting snowed in conditions or power outages. I ask for You to help us all through these winter months. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Lord, the storm has moved over to other parts of the country -- and they just said it's even worse there. Somewhere the temperature dropped 40 degress overnight. So, Lord, send mercy to all who are now dealing with this cold snowey, icey, etc. weather and the resulting road conditions, power outages, and all else. I ask that they would not have deaths. Let all who need help get the needed help. Keep people warm, fed, safe, etc. Let medical help be given to those who need it. I pray for this to quickly pass from the states it's in now. Help all of those people to be able to cope. I ask for finances to be supplied to all who miss work and the business owners who lose income. Send help and aid to those who fix power lines, work on road conditions, take supplies around, check on people, bring medical help, deliver the mail and whatever other capcity they work in. Let electricity be restored quickly. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Thanks for the prayers, Linda. I was able to get back to work, but was sent home early two of those days....so I am praying in extra $$$ for the holiday (and my B-day, Dec. 30). Things are back to "normal" now, as far as getting around.

Lord, I continue to lift up those in incliment weather and dangerous conditions throughout our nation. Send aid and help to all in finances and supplies and power and medicines....and anything else needed. Send angels to protect and guard. Give aid to mail delivery people, to all who have to travel, to those who work on power lines, to those who are on the road crews, to those who can't get to work, to those who are snowed in, to those without food, to those needing medical supplies. Keep people safe and warm. Help these conditions to melt off and these storms to pass quickly. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.
