My Mother is 78 and I think Lillian is older. They live in a retirement community. If my Mother's front and back doors are not locked, Lillian will let herself in anytime of the day. If they are locked; she will stand on the doorbell and if my Mother doesn't answer, she will proceed to look through her windows. Her "body" is very "busy" inquisitively prying into other people's affairs. My Mother is very independent and private. She doesn't want to create a hostile environment yet she knows she's going to have to do something for this lady is driving her nuts. My Mother said that even this weekend, while my brother was visiting, she came over 4 times. Lillian also talks incessantly and makes it hard for anyone to get away from her. My Mother is the new kid on the block and the other neighbors know what my Mother is dealing with, though not very well to say the least. Please pray that God will give my Mother divine stategies as to how she can set up boundaries yet be available to minister to Lillian in a Godly manner. |
(I think that Lillian may be mentally ill and management should be helping Janie with this.)
