My mamma gave me up when i was four years old
She didnt destroy my body she killed my soul/ Now its cold cause iam sleeping in my back seat/I understand the spirit is willing but my flesh is weak/Let him speak let me speak/I never had a chance to dream/Ten years old and finding love in dirty magazines/Ms.December you remerber i bought you twice/Now Iam thirty something and still paying the price//Had a sister i barly knew/Kinda got seperated by age of two/Same mamma different daddy so we couldnt fake it/I saw my sister daddy beat her in the tub naked/Take it serious the demons in a man's mind/The same man on rape charges now his doing time/Crack followed and like daddy prison thirteen years/Haven't seen her i guess she's traded tears for fear//CHOIRS-Shout Shout, let it all out/These are the things i can do with out so come on/So come on Iam talking to you so come on//Sex was how i made it through/Without someone to teach you love what else is thier to do/See where i'm from they call you gay/Say you aint a man show them you aint no punk/Get all the girls you can a simple plan that still hauts me even now today/Back to seventeen
and got a baby on the way/No GED all see is failure in my eyes if your listening and remerber I apologize//I was raised falling in the church/Made mistakes and heard the LORD's in the church/

This is a dishearting poem and so sad to read. It has touched me to the very depth of my soul and i can't even put into words what i would like to express at this time.
But I pray whomever wrote this poem and if it is a true story of their past, that the lord would heal their memories and emotions---- and that they would come to know him and the power of his unconditional love---- and know that he can make all things new and restore unto them the years the locust and cankerworm have eaten.
may the lord be glorified in this one's life through not only their poetry but in what the lord can and will do for and through them----and may they come to know the healing Jesus that He is.
He loves us no matter where we are or where we have been and he hears the cries of our hearts and in the pain we are enduring and He wants to heal the wounded soul and set the captive free and loose us from all chains that would bind us! from our painful past and tormenting memories.
thank you for sharing this with us even though it is raw but written from a heart crying out for all to hear and I am one (saying to the author of this poem) whom hears what you are saying and my heart breaks for you but moreso, so does the Lord's! May he make you whole and give you peace and rest in him!
