Gold dust and oily hands....

What do you think about these things?
Are they from God? I don't really know what to think about such things.
In some churches they seem to happen and the people claim this is from God while others say that this is not from God. Why should God make people get golden hands? What's this good for? I have heard people say that they can get gold dust from God whenever they ask for it and there it is. I don't understand the purpose of this. Where is this in the bible?
And the fact that christians do not even agree on these things makes it impossible to know if they are genuine or not. This is very frustrating. Christians argue about everything. About healing, about tongues, about prophecy, about the gifts of the Spirit and if they still exist. They argue about everything. This means that in the end everybody simply has his own opinion and sticks to it but what do you do if you simply have no opinion and simply don't know what's the truth? What do you do then? Simply flip a coin and make a choice which path you want to go? Either the conservative path which leads into a baptist or presbyterian direction or a non-conservative path which leads into a charismatic or pentecostal direction? I don't know.
On the one hand I don't like that in the conservative churches there hardly seems to be anything going on. They don't talk about healing or miracles, they don't even seem to expect this anymore.
But on the other hand when I look at the charismatic churches I see so many weird things which seem so strange and disturbing to me. But somehow you simply have to decide which path to go and then there's no way back. You simply have to decide if you want to believe that tongues and all these things still exist or not.

Fredrick,

The Holy Spirit and the word of God is where you find all the answers. It can be confusing if you get your eyes upon man or a denomination but the word of God says do not put your trust in man for man will always let you down.

put your trust in God and His written word and ask the holy spirit for understanding of his word and he will show you and answer your questions if you but ask him and you believe, trust and know him as lord and savior.

The word also says to "do all things in moderation". we are not to go too far to the right or too far to the left. There is no man that has all the answers nor one denomination. remember, the "body of christ or people" is the church, all those whom have the holy spirit living within them. buildings with a title above the door or labeled baptist, pentecostal, is not what it his church, people are. we whom are called by his name are his church not a building nor a title.

as for the gold dust and such, i have never experienced that however, i have experienced some awesome miracles, too many to go into detail at this time, but he is a lord of miracles and they are for today!!

I do not go down the road that he "never" does miracles today whether it be fill people's decayed teeth in a service or even at home, healing frailed infirmed bodies, deliver those from demons, etc, etc. nor do i go down the road of where everything is extreme.

but he is lord and he can do whatever he wants or chooses whether i believe it or not and i chose not to put him in a box and deny his power and glory and i believe in his marvelous power and glory---- however he choses to manifest himself, that it is alright with me!

i do believe if you do not believe in his power, glory and miracles, more than likely you may never see them for it is by expectant faith in him and his power and glory when he will usually manifest himself. maybe not always but usually.

someone else on this board may be able to explain this much better than me and i do understand your question about the gold dust and such.

i have heard about it but never experienced it but i do not doubt it for i am not the judge of these things and if it did happen to me i think i would be rather excited about it and it would tend to overwhelm me! the only thing i think about gold dust is that the streets in heaven are said in the word of God to be of pure gold! maybe that could explain the gold dust------?

can you imagine living in a city where the streets are paved with pure gold! we are not to lust upon that but heaven is a beautiful place prepared for those who love and worship the lord but more importantly than that, Jesus Christ himself will be there and we shall meet him face to face! the holy one of israel, the creator of heaven and earth and the only one whom can save us from our sins and forgive us of our past and give us a new beginning in him! Wow, talk about a miracle!! that is the greatest miracle of all!

I consider that power and glory right here on earth and the best is yet to come if we belong to him and are called by his name!!

I don't know if this has helped you in any way at all but i myself have wondered the very same issues that you brought up as well so you are not the first one to wonder about and consider these things. There are many things we will not know about until we do get to heaven and may ask him or have things revealed to us if we need to know them.

bless you!

I have heard the gold dust that people have seen on hands, face, etc., is a sign God is sending to show us that He is preparing His bride for The Marriage Supper Of The Lamb....showing it's coming soon.

Dear Frederik,

We aren't called to find answers.

We are called to have faith.

Facts hide themselves to force us to faith.

Trust Jesus and obey him daily.

If you are in service to him what others are doing isn't important.

Keep your eyes on Jesus.

If they goof up, well, lots of us do.

If they are experiencing miracles, well, how wonderful is that!

Glad your back...

Frederick,
God bless you brother. I love the fact that you are not afraid to ask the tough questions that most people are afraid of. You seek the truth without all the fluff. Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened up for you!

Posted by: Chris Logan

we are called to ask questions frederick!

(sorry i spelled your name wrong above!)

that is why he tells us in his word to ask, seek, knock, and ye shall find." "the door will be opened unto you"! He wants us to ask questions as he may be the very one whom has put it upon your heart to ask these things you are wondering about!! we are to ask, seek and find these answers for ourselves for he is the one whom has all the answers to our questions!! Man is but mere flesh and he can lead you wrong and will! always go to the word for the final answer and even take my counsel with a grain of salt until you see it lines up with the word of God!!

always go to the word of the lord for he will never lead you astray if you but ask for the leading and guidance of his holy spirit and ask him for the truth! His children know and hear his voice and kinow that he is their shepherd and we are his sheep. we can ask him anything just like we would our own earthly father or mother! faith and trust in him and his truth is obedience and obediece is better than sacrifice!!

He loves for us to communicate with him and ask him questions we want to know about especially when it may be something that he is wanting us to know that may harm us or deceive us! or even confuse us! confusion is from the devil not the holy spirit!

I learned years ago if i looked only to the preacher or the teacher, they are but mere flesh and they can lead me and you wrong! (i sat under a false prophets preaching and teaching purposely not by myself but set up by the lord and it was an eye opening and very humbing experience!)
we all also can have our own opinions but they may not be lined up with the word! you said it yourself---- in some of the denominations! one says one thing, another says another thing!! Plus they disagree, argue and can be carnal in their flesh as we all can be!! to be carnal is death!!

He is wanting you to seek him and ask him for all your questions and what he wants you to know he can reveal through his word and his holy spirit of revelation knowledge and understanding! some answers we may have to wait here on earth for or even until we meet him face to face as i mentioned earlier but we can still ask and in due time expect an answer----

He wants us to ask, seek and knock until we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free! He is the truth that will set us free! His word will not contradict itself and will not return void! His word and his spirit will also come into agreement as well.

I also commend you for bringing forth your questions that many others would hesitate to ask. that shows you are seeking his truth and not always falling for everything you see or hear about that goes on sometimes which also means he is teaching you to be "wise as a serpeant but meek as a dove!" He wants us to be this way for our own protection for there is one out there whom would like to kill, steal and destroy us but greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world!

We have his word, which is our guidebook and textbook so we can find the answers to our questions and to get to know the mind of our father. His thoughts are not our thoughts, his ways are not our ways!!

We have overcome the world through the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony! Our flesh is the hardest thing to crusify and to get self off the throne and the lord on there where he rightly belongs!!

I cannot explain the why and so forth but I can say I have experienced both.

THE first time I experienced it, I was at a church in which a man was teaching and the annointing was very great that night. The flow of the Holy Spirit was awesome. The Holy Spirit was in charge that night. There was beautiful singing in tongues, words came forth and during the time of which people were crowding the altar for prayer flakes just began drifting down, gold started to appear on hands, very fine, like a powder. When we picked up a flake it was almost translucent and it was absolutely beautiful, and very delicate. My friend, another pastor received two gold crowns on her teeth.

I had been annointed with oil on my forhead, just a dot, when I woke the next morning my head was covered in oil down to my shoulders. This persisted for 3 days. I washed my hair everyday and still when I woke up the next day I was covered with oil.

I was told that the gold crowns in the teeth has to with our teeth are our hardest substance in our body. Gold represents deity. He can cover our hardest sin with Himself in an instant. There was more but it has been such awhile since I had been given whys and such. Remember gold represents His deity and go back and look at the mosaic temple and the furniture.

The big but here is so many get caught up in the manifestations, they lose sight of our Father. We were bringing in special speakers and it was awesome but our people were getting caught in the manfestations rather than in what God was doing and speaking to our hearts, so we shut down the meetings. The Lord posed this question to our congregation," Which is greater, a gathering where the tongues flow, prophesies, come for, and holy laughter spring up, or a time of a Word coming forth and one soul is brought into My Kingdom?" It sobered them right up. All of it is good but when we make it our reason for coming to gatherings we are out of balance.

Why do we come together? Is it to receive a word, to get refueled, to experience manifestations, you want someone to pray over you and you need an answer from God? Notice it becomes all about me. And me is not the reason. WE come together to exalt our LOrd to give Him praise and honor, to worship Him and when we do that, out of the love flowing up and coming back to us we see and witness and experience the power and majesty and awesomeness of our God. The manifestations are just an outward sign of His LOVE NATUE!!!
BE BLESSED!!

Sonrise!

I don't look for this, I don't ask for this, nor do i expect this, but when I read your reply to this posting above, I had chills and goose bumps go up and down my body and reading what you have witnessed and experienced!!

I love the manifestation of the presence of the Lord and the marvelous things he and the holy spirit can and will do, but I have come to know and learn, that is not what He desires for me to keep my focus or eyes upon.

You are so correct, we are not to follow after signs nor manifestations as we can begin to bow and follow after them instead of the one who can give them! the one whom you said can save the very sin filled soul and make us as his own and in his image! what a miracle!

Very informative and interesting and thank you for sharing every word of your reply for I truly sensed the Holy Spirit in all of it!! It touched the very depth of my inner being!

be blessed sis!!

Hi everyone-

All very good responces to this subject. The main point, as pointed out, is to keep focus on God who may be doing these things.

As for the question wether being of God or not? Check God's Word. I don't care if some prominent great Leader of God declares an event is of God or not, IF, it is not found as happened before or described will happen of God, in His Word, we cannot accept anything as being of God.

God declares His Word proves and reproves Itself and is profitable for proving and reproving doctrine. We must realize, even signs are just that, signs, of which can be from God or satan.

If such events or "signs" are not in God's Word or described will happen in God's Word, then what are we to think of them? They are not validly proven to be of God.

This is why, God stresses we are to read and learn His Word to give us the ability to show ourselves approved of God in rightly dividing the Truth from the false.

Thus, rather than asking for so many opinions which only irritates and confuses you my dear friend Fredrik, please just read God's Word to check such things out as wether truely of God or not.

God Bless you all

I have enjoyed the question and I can say that this is my first time hearing of Gold dust and oily hands. Sounds good to me when the Lord manifests himself to his children. I would like to share this, I have been a part of different denominations and can attest to some of the stmts that Frederik addressed. for example there are disagreements and arguments. But I have learned to seek God and His word by studying and building up my relationship with him. When the Lord comes for us we will be addressed as servants and judged by our works . I have learned and I encouraged those within my church setting that "it is not about us but it's about the Lord. Even now i am learning to focus more on him and not the surroundings, positive and negative which Do exist. As I have grown in the word I have come to realize , that there were things that I was taught that was not scriptural. i am not angry because i feel that at that time I was taught according to the best that those individuals had to offer. .I praise God that I can learn the scriptures which teaches me how to abide in Him and his word and then share with others. His word is not debatable, because it is the true word of instruction and righteous living. I was always taught you won't know if you don't ask. God will give us divine revelations for our scriptures. He will validate what ever it is that he has said. When I teach/preach I advise those who are present to study the word for themselves. His word wil allow us to know the spirit of truth from the spirit of error. I will be a part of revelation22:14. I have heard it said " when I get to heaven I'm going to tell God all about my troubles " . Revalaton 21:4 teaches otherwise. I do agree with Chris Logan about living in a city where the streets are of pure gold. Revelation21:21 . I will be so glad to make it there to that city, that all I will desire to do is to praise Him. . Thank you all for allowing me to share wih you my thoughts. I hope they were good ones.

Hi everybody,

the problem with simply looking in the bible is that the bible doesn't mention gold dust and oily hands. The bible also doesn't mention gold teeth and such manifestations. Now there are those christians which simply say: It's not in the bible, this means it's not from God.
And they make it look so easy, but I don't know if it is so easy.
I am sure that if the story of Jesus and the blind man was not in the bible and a christian did something like this day and put mudd mixed with spittle and the eyes of a blind man then I'm sure a lot of christians would freak out and say that this is not biblical and that God would never do such a miracle and so on.
I mean HOW do they know? How do they judge what's from God and what not? I have heard stories where the Holy Spirit is supposed to have told a minister to punch somebody in the stomach and when he punched this person the person flew through the air and was slain by the spirit. But other christians say that the Holy Spirit would never do such a thing. How are we supposed to know this? I don't know how somebody can know God or the bible so well that he can say exactly what God would do and what not.
But it's also dangerous to simply not care and to simply accept everything as from God because what if it's not from God and christians are being deceived with miracles? Satan can also do miracles. It's not the case that miracles prove that it's from God or that if miracles happen that God has to be in it. This is the problem.

Frederik my boy-

The Toronto revival had originally started out as a Godly one, clearly showing Godly manifestations by the Holy Spirit, as according to God's Word. But, as seen in later videos, it was proven, claims stated it started moving away from a Godly one, to more of a satanic one.

Also, another revival of years ago that God had manifested was purely God derived by the Holy Spirit in accordance with His Word for miracles, signs, manifestations and more. But, as seen in later videos there as well, satan started infiltrating false manifestations to taint the revival. Such things as one person got up and started running around the seating area, throwing off articles of clothing as he ran. 2- A supposed minister went and sat up on a stool on the stage and claimed he would show a manifestation of the Holy Spirit.

When did so, he started making these strange blubbering and pursed lip noises. That was clearly not of God nor the first example I shared. Plus, while praying over people, this minister punched someone quite hard in the abdomin, causing them to drop to the floor.

Now my friend, is that what you would call being manifested of a God who is supposed to be loving and honorable and rightceous? To me- absolutely NOT.

So, think about it my friend.

God Bless!!

frederick,
you can certainly bring up some good and valid points that sometimes we all can tend to overlook much less think much about! But is this taking time away from what really matters and that is the lost soul that is seeking answers and help in knowing Christ as His personal Lord and savior we need to be ministering to? Should you not be asking the lord himself these questions instead of always going to man?

You are right, how do we know what is and isn't from God? We can hear stories of what has and hasn't happened in this and that revival and this preacher punched this one and they were healed or vice versa.

i think it has been repeated more than once here on this very posting that we are to keep our eyes and mind focused on Jesus and not manifestations but we are also to have such an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus that He would grant us the gift of discernment to know what is Holy and what is not!! He would not desire us to be ignorant of spiritual matters and would even want us to know the different between holy and evil!

there are false prophets and wolves in sheeps clothing that can even deceive the very elect, the word of God says! who are the very elect? we whom are born again and are called by his name and are his disciples!!

so, it is each of our own responsibility to know him and to pray, study and meditate on his word enough that we have the mind of christ and we will be spiritually informed and mature to be wise as serpents but meek and harmless as a dove!

i think this has been repeated more than once on here concerning this and your questions are so good for us to think about for sure but our main focus is always to be doing what Jesus did and that was going about doing the works of His father!!

you may not see in the word of God anything about gold dust, spittle in mud, etc, etc but if you are spiritually in tune with the Holy Spirit, you should have a 'witness" in your spirit what is of God and what isn't! I totally agree with you that if one was to do some of these things today here on earth in ministry, they would be escorted out and told they were of the devil!!
that is so very true indeed! But we are not Jesus! and if he commands us to do such as this we are to obey and trust him not mattering what man may say or think about us!

The Lord and our spirit are to be "one" if we confess to belong to Him and Jesus and the Father are one so therefore we are to have the mind of Christ and to be spiritually in tune to know with the help of the holy spirit to discern Godly spirits from evil spirits.

we all will be judged accordingly to spiritual matters and behavior and our heavenly father is our judge. it is he we will answer to on judgment day as to whether our ministry and actions in our lives was led and controlled by the holy spirit or another spirit. Or if our flesh was in control.

that is frightening when you really think about it for we all sense there are ministries we have witnessed where we wonder if the Lord is really in it and may even have some spiritual discernment concerning some of them.

i think a good way to view them is this---"Is a ministry out for self whether it be spiritual gain or popularity, financial gain, or wanting to be in control of others in some way? Is a ministry consumed with the thoughts of "all about me" and "bless us 4 and nor more lord," or is it on fire for seeing lost souls born again and the "least of these" being ministered to?

Is a ministry reaching out and helping the poor, to the homeless, those bound by satan and spiritually or emotionally wounded, the afflicted and infirmed, the naked, the ones whom the world considers "outcasts?"
Or are they concerned more with you sending in your tithe and offering to them so god can bless you (they tell you) financially and otherwise? Do they live the life that they themselves preach? Do they live financially much better than others but expect their partners to live with less (much less) just as long as you send in your tithe to their ministry?

How did Jesus live in his earthly ministry and how did he treat others? What was the ministry that was always on his mind? Did he always beg others for money and say that he would turn around and give you more back a hundred fold? did he live in a mansion and have everything in the material realm but expect all others to have nothing or do with much less?

Was not compassion, mercy, grace and perfect forgiving love the main fruit of his spirit and what he always expressed to others----- with the exception of the "religious" folk, the saducees and the pharisees? Did he not call them hyprocrites, vipers and snakes for they wanted to be noticed for their praying long prayers and wanted to be honored and praised and always wanting others attention? They praised him with their lips but their hearts were far from him!! Isn't that what the word of god says?

When you can't find your answers in the word of god itself, then you have the holy spirit whom will give you a witness in your spirit of things that are righteous and holy and those that are not! you are to go by 2 or more witnesses!! the lord will reveal to you by more than one witness through his holy spirit when you seek and ask him for discernment concerning others and their ministries or actions. It is all of our choices and responsiblity to seek the lord for answers to these questions.

i totally understand where you are coming from and i do think you bring up some very good points for us to ponder, pray and think about but always remember to keep your heart, mind and thoughts on christ and his intimate fellowship and relationship with you---- and he can and will show you many things to come and questions you want answers to better than me or any flesh for none of us have all the answers. only christ does.

It comes to mind that more time has been spent discussing the manifestation....then in prayer. Speaking of how these things take our focus off God and The Bible. We are told to "Pray without ceasing." We are told to defend the faith. But we are not told to haggle over "manifestations" (real or fake). So....

~JeriRose~

Posted by: Chris Logan

you are totally right jerirose and i agree with you! manifestations are great but we are to seek the one whom gives them not for what he can give to us (whether it is his anointing, manifestations, or gifts)---but we are to love and seek him for who he is.----- his heart, his nature and his love. good point!

that is why this is called a prayer board and even though discussions are permitted and i assume welcomed, they can certainly take a lot of one's time, energy and focus and I need to keep my eyes on what this board and its administrations has called one to do.

thank you for reminding me of this point for it is so true. we must pray without ceasing and we will have the answers we need from the lord. bless you sister for this word.

Hello everyone-

Yes, while discussions do take up some time, you can be sure the Early Church Leaders discussed what writings of past Leaders were to be accepted as the "Canon of Scripture" for the New Test era.

There is nothing wrong with it, and we have been striving to show, at least for the most part, wether this is Scriptural or not.

We must keep in mind, younger Christians who have less understanding of God's Word need guidance just as Nicodemus saught Christ for about Salvation when Christ discussed that with him, and needing to explain what He had stated so Nicodemus could understand.

As God has called each of the Moderators to help here thru Pastor Jerry, we are not only to pray for those in need, but also discuss God's Word in light of questions for young Christians as well as the lost, for better understanding of God's Word.

And we, as prayer warriors and helpers here, are required to seek God's Word for answers and also be in prayer for the Holy Spirit, who will lead us to all Truth, to share God's Truth as we are guided, for those seeking answers.

No, some answers we will not know either, but, the fact remains reading God's Word and being in prayer are essential, which is why I posted as had above.

God declares in His Word that the Holy Spirit who will lead us to all Truth, will both confirm God's Word and confirm Christ. Therefore, there is no other authority in existance to get guidance from. Thus, since these manifestations are not found in God's Word, they certainly then, cannot be of God, or His Word would no doubt confirm such manifestations.

I will say this as well- Even tho discussions can be of considerable benefit, it must be realized, when proof has been given of being of God or not, as with seen here, the discussion should be then finished, as the answer has been reached. As there is no sense in discussing what others, who want to follow false beliefs, manifestations and the like think, when proof has been shown it is not of God and they are not to be believed or followed anyway as God declares.

Yes, God speaks of a great out pouring of His Holy Spirit in the "Last Days" showing signs and wonders. Yet, does He declare there would be signs and wonders not found in His Word? NO. Therefore, these signs and wonders will be in accordance with His Word or they will not be of God. Really quite simple people.

Thank you for your time. God Bless!!!

christian commando, now i have a question that you have brought up where i have been confused or taught wrongly.

If you say that all manifestations of the lord and his holy spirit will always be written in the word of the lord, that brings me to a question that i have heard many different responses about. i would like as all others to know the truth but have not found it in the word as of yet.

some of us have experienced holy laughter. i have saw i think one scripture maybe on this. also being slain in the spirit there is a scripture or two on it.
but there have been other manisfestations that either i have witnessed or saw on christian tv or heard about but have not saw them in the written word. so i take it you are saying that if there is not a written scripture concerning this manifestation, then it is not of god.

this is good to know as well as frederik wanting to know as well for i have never heard this preached or taught this but it does make absolute sense. is there scripture on the manifestation of the gold dust and i know there are others but they do not come to mind at this time? as i said, this is good to know and it is true that if it does not line up with the word of god then it more than likely isn't! i guess we always need to judge all matters according to his word and not go by what man says. if it is not in the scripture, then it cannot be of the lord!

thank you for sharing that with us as i am glad to know that and wondering how i could have been so blind to this very obvious truth that you have just posted as it is very simple now that you have brought it up!

this is enlightening to know and hopefully as you said should be the end of this discussion or we all should seek the word now for some of the really weird manifestations we have all seen or heard about, one or the other!

i went one time to a church where young people were all over the altar on their hands and knees and barking like dogs!! this truly disturbed me and i could not get out of that church fast enough!

is there any scripture anywhere christain commando that would line this up with the written word for i don't think i have ever come upon it! that is just "one" of the weird manifestations that i have witnessed or heard about!! due to time and space i will not mention some of the others ones that have seemed really weird and off the wall completely!

thank you for this imput and truth! be blessed!

also another one, what about people's teeth with cavities being filled with gold fillings in a service? i have never actually experinced this nor saw it but i have heard of it happening more than one time.

You said the Toronto revival started originally as from God and did later on change. This is interesting. I wish I could see videos from the early days and see what you think was really God and what happened later on which wasn't God anymore.

I also want to address what JeriRose said.
Of course you can say that praying is more important than debating but there are also things that are important and have to be debated. Or does it not matter what's real and what isn't real?
I think these things are important. I am confronted with this stuff and don't know what to think about it but if I don't know what to think about it then I don't know how to behave towards it.
I think it's very important to know what's from God and what isn't otherwise you can be totally deceived. Just look at many of the TV evangelists which stand there asking for money and putting pressure on people to donate money by telling them that if they "sow" a certain amount of money today then they will get this and that from God. Does it not matter if you know wether they are real or fake? Is praying the only thing which matters? Then God could also simply have told us to pray and Paul wouldn't have had to write so many letters to the different churches trying to educate them. Then he could simply have told them: "Don't worry who's real and who's not, just pray. It doesn't matter if something is from God or not simply pray and don't even think about it."

Where do we draw the line? Do mormons and jehova's witnesses not also pray? Does this mean that we are all one big family and that differences don't matter and that it's all about praying? I guess if you put your emphasis on prayer then you can easily unite all world religions and just pray.
Forget about differences, just pray....

Why would it not be Biblical to laugh in the Spirit? We need read no further than "The fruit of The Spirit is love, JOY ...." Also, "A merry heart does good like a medicine....and "The JOY of the Lord is my strength." Joy and merriment speak of laughter.... and I have had such a joy of the Spirit overwhelm me that I have begun to laugh.

I believe I have also seen fake laughter. I have seen someone walking up to others and telling them they should be laughing....and they laid hands on them in a way where they seemed to be co-ersing them to laugh. THAT is spiritual witchcraft. But if I am in fellowship with The Lord and I am overwhelmed with joy and I begin to laugh....

Back to what needs to be most emphasized here: We need to stop seeking AN EXPERIENCE. We are an experience oriented generation, and that is not going to cut it when we are being tempted, etc. As Jerry said, "We need some people who have the stuff!" -- not just those who have some kind of wow in the Spirit. "The stuff" is not an experience. "The stuff" is an uwavering love for Jesus Christ and obedeicne to His Word. we need those, who will follow God through ANYTHING He may take them through, whether they have the feelings or not. We are not always going to have feelings, and we need to get used to it. We need to quit seeking feelings and experiences (I was in this trap not so long ago), and start SEEKING GOD. It's like a marriage. If that couple doesn't feel a thing, they still need TIME together, and lots of it. One doesn't just spend time with one's mate because one FEELs the romantic feelings. One spends time with them because they love them. I have to spend time with God when I feel it and when I don't.

It is good to ask questions, in the sense of "I truly want to know if this is of God, because I don't want to be doing something wrong." But if the asking is because one is seeking an experience, then we are no longer focused on HIM.

Again, these threads can be long and take up a lot of time and energy....and I find so many more responses in here than in the prayer threads. If we just type long paragraphs of what we think about it or aren't sure about it or what we think we don't know about it....well, you get my drift....we haven't answered the question.

I have heard of the gold dust, been in meetings with people who have gold teethe, etc., but what it all comes down to is if we can not find it in the Bible, we can't really answer the question. So....I encourage others and myself to really get back to what is most needful: Make Jesus our first love, read His Word, do the works we did at the FIRST the Bible says.... Jesus had this against that church: that they had forgotten their first love and were not doing the things they had done at the first. Do what the Bible says is key to our success as Christians: read the Word, obey the Word, pray without ceasing, don't forsake the assembling (regular church attendance)....etc. Also, Paul said he desired to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified and, so knowing about these "manifestations" is in no way necessary. The Gospel once delivered is constantly emphasized in The New Testament, and this is so simple: Christ crucified for our sins, died and rose again for our justification. Nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe less is more, and maybe I have over emphasized the point. But I heard a sermon, once, called, "You need Jesus," in which Jesus was presented as the answer to any and every problem we might have. And it is JESUS we need to turn our attention to. Whether we ever see gold dust or not, Jesus is SO beautiful, that we could look into His riches eternally and NEVER get enough! I pray that all of us may desire to see HIM and not worry about gold dust.

For a reference of "laughing in the Spirit", check out the part of King Saul's story, where he'd sent several people after David to kill him. Once they had reached a certain point, thier countenance was changed and began laughing etc.

Now, there are "laughing" ministries which are not of God, who take this out of context to such things. Laughter can happen these days by the Holy Spirit during services etc, but must be kept in context to God's Word. secondly- an animal ministry had also been going around for a time, where people, during the service, would be overcome by the Holy Spirit and start acting like animals. This tho, remember, is based on a curse of God over King Nebecaneezer located in Daniel, for disobeying God.

Lastly- Please let all of us understand rightly here of God. There is no place for arguing or debating. Remember, we are to be peace makers, not trouble makers. We are to be representatives of Christ, not of satan. Satan is the author of confusion, of strife, of envy and more. We are not here to do such things. But for peace, understanding, love, joy, patience, temperance and more.

Discussion is therefore of God, but not arguing or debating. Subjects should not be brought about, if the intention is to cause arguments or debating. Discussions bring about learning and growth, therefore advancement in a Child of God's relationship with God. Arguing and debating, which are defined as attempts to prove another view wrong, is not Biblically correct before God.

Follow the same ways in which Christ and the apostles shared God's leading of them sharing with others. That is the Biblical and Godly way to approach subjects as children of God.

God Bless!!

Do you know what makes me sceptical about all these new manifestations? Simply that they are new. Has there been collective laughter in the spirit in any christian church before the whole Toronto stuff started? I don't think so. And this is exactly what makes no sense to me. It's as if something new starts somewhere in a church and then it sweeps over to all other countries like a wave of new manifestations as if God was up there constantly inventing new things which then spread all over the world. I think this makes no sense at all. Let's say in one church in the USA there is a no manifestation for example making a handstand in the spirit then the christians would hear about it and it wouldn't take long and the wave would reach the UK and Europe and suddenly all christians would be making handstands in the spirit. This seems really strange to me. If something is from God why should God come up with new things? If it's not in the bible why should God do it today?

Dear Frederik,

Why God would do something new, something he had never done before,

It seems to me that he is and always will be a CREATOR!

New things will always come from him.

This internet we are on is because information was released from him and into the earth.

If God wants to send new ways to draw, touch or influence people, where is the downside in that?

Nothing is going to appeal to everyone.

Should God hold back what he wants to do for fear that people who are already saved and secure in the Kingdom will be a little offended?

Everyone could release God to do whatever it takes in their life to move even ONE lost soul toward salvation.

Now THAT would be new!

I think God loves to show up and demonstate
HIS LOVE...
HIS MERCY...
HIS GRACE...

Chris Logan and Frederik-

For over 25 years, people who know me, had believed I have the Gift odf discernment. I won't claim that myself, as I've been in fervent researching of all topics and subjects asked of me all that time. I researched God's Word as well as secular info for the most complete understanding from God, I could return to them.

Yes, even secular info. Why? Many never spend the time to really look at alot of it, to find God was behind the recieving of it, for the fact it proves His Word in many cases.Example, all the archeological digs in the Middle Eastern region. How many finds have actually proven God and disproved secular beliefs?

But, this was known thru it coinciding with God's Word, not from some accepted belief outside of the boundaries of His Word.

Secondly- I have investigated alot of documented proofs to show how many a revival had started with God, but eventually got more infiltrated and tainted by satan. Not all, but enough I've seen this with.

as for teeth being filled with gold fillings... Not of God. God healed a couple bad teeth I had years ago, but not with fillings, but full healing and restoring of them.

I have also seen a number of Churches go under completely, to barely coming back, but now stronger than ever, from false revivals or doctrinal beliefs brought in from outside people or groups that decieved the leadrship into accepting thier false beliefs or teachings.

Fact is, God gave us His Word, as was written, that others might believe. He gave It to us, as It is profitable for proving and reproving doctrine. To show man his sin, plus much more.

We need to keep in mind, God's Word is the ultimate Authority over all else. That we can know what is of God as according to His Word.

A True child of God was terribly rideculed and ostersized, even by other Christians, when at one moment, when a little girl rode out into the street in front of a moving vehicle and got killed, the man never tried to save her, even tho had time to do so.

The man's answer why not? He claimed God had told him, it was this little girl's time to die.

But, can we claim the man lied, when God declares- "its appointed unto all men once to die? That He declares He has a time and purpose for all things? That Christ declared we are not to linger on the past or worry for the future, but think only of our purpose for each day we are living?

It was to show us, no one but God only knows when anyone living, shall die. Thus, we need to concentrate on our lives during the day we are living and not let past or future thoughts distract us from being an open vessel for God at any given moment.

I pray this helps-

God Bless!!

i can appreciate what you are saying C.C. and sense where you are coming from. But i know we are all called to be ministers of the word and the Lord. all whom have been born of the spirit of God and are called by his name for this is what the word of God says.

Whether it is to be ministered to on any prayer board or to minister to others. that is "all" of our calling especially to reach the lost and those the lord says is the least of these.

it is man that gives titles and names but the lord says we are all kings and priests and if we are a child of the king of all kings, we all have a calling and ministry on our lives and if we are confident in our salvation we are to go forth in that calling and ministry no matter what man may say or do to us. we are to fear god and no man and be bold and confident in our calling.

I would guess pastor Jerry would have some experiences from all the revivals and ministry he has done concerning signs and wonders and miracles. I imagine he has seen anything and everything manifest which could be considered false and real; or of god or of satan. maybe he will address this subject what his belief is and scripture concerning this, after all he is the administrator of the board and i am sure he has been a part of some of these manifestations we have been discussing and he would have an imput concerning this. i myself, would be very interested in what he sees and knows to be scripturally true and to tell us of some of the manifestations he has witnessed.

but i do not have to have another tell me when the lord has given me or others a gift or a miracle even though i am much aware that satan can mimick the signs and wonders from the lord and even the very elect can be deceived the word of the lord says.

We all should know our specific calling or callings and not need others to tell us what that calling is, the lord through his holy spirit will reveal to us and he will confirm that by 2 or more witnesses.

when we become spiritually mature (not meaning how many years we have been born again of his spirit) we hopefully will come to the place to where we know, and we know and we know without a doubt what is holy and what isn't.

God has given many of his children the gift of discernment and it is not necessary to tell others he has given it to them for those whom see their ministry and fruit of the spirit operating in their lives can easily see it manifested in their ministry and their lives.

It is not my desire to put the lord and his holy spirit in a box and his thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are not my ways. he is god and there is none other like him. I think certain miracles that one may not specifically be in the bible would go under the term "signs and wonders and miracles."

If I had not had some awesome miracles and signs and wonders in my life, i might take your word for this C.C, but i have, so therefore I know the lord can and will do for us what we cannot do for ourselves and he does not have a formula or set of rules he goes by, that is why he is god and we are not.

we must be very careful that every response on any prayer board is scripturally based for we will be held responsible for our words to others and where and how we lead them. the lord holds all of us accountable for knowledge and the truth and that we do not lead anyone astray.

It will be difficult to convince others that the lord was not in a miracle they received (if you do not find it specifically in the bible) and it was a witness to their and others spirits from the holy lord and they had prayed for a certain prayer to be answered and it was.

the word says that we are to be very careful in saying something is not of the holy spirit if it is. that is a serious warning. we all are responsible to search the scriptures for ourselves lest we be very deceived. I do not put my faith or trust in any man for man will let us down and fail us but the word of the lord along with the holy spirit never will.

I know a man personally that was born again of the spirit of the lord when he received an actual phone call from the lord! he had been running from god but the lord got his attention by the phone call! I also know of a person personally that got a phone call from satan whom repeated to them the very prayer they had just prayed and no one but them knew of the prayer but them, the lord and the devil. this person had touched the hem of the lord's garment and knew the lord had heard and answered their prayer. satan tried to intervene and stop the answer coming forth in their prayer.

am i to judge and say neither of these was from the lord god above but was from the devil just because there is not a scripture in the bible that the lord or the enemy can call someone on the phone and give them a message?

Beware and be careful what and whom you judge of what is of the lord and what isn't for i have no doubt there are those whom have come on this prayer board that have been healed and blessed by ways you would say are not of the lord when you will never convince them otherwise----- for they also have the spiritual gift of discernment and know personally the holy god of israel. the holy bible is our guidebook for our life but if every miracle and manifestation was recorded the book would be huge and would be never-ending.

we are to make sure of our calling and that every word that proceeds out of our mouth is from the word of god---- for we will be judge accordingly not only from the lord but others will see and know the difference from the truth and from the false!

the lord gives his gifts to you and many others for HIS namesake and HIS glory and not for us to boast about--- and none of us are superior over the other for our righteousness is as of filthy rags without him!

Spiritually maturity is not how many years we have been born again, nor how much knowledge we know or how many gifts from the lord we have been given; for knowledge without love is puffed up and arrogant.

spiritual maturity is our "love walk" and how we treat others when no one is looking and watching---behind closed doors.

I heard it said today to find out the real and true character of ourselves is when no one is listening to us or watching us, how do we behave and act? i will have to say for myself, i need the lord to continue to do his work within me for as paul said, "i have not yet arrived!" Have you?

where is it in the scripture that the lord called others to be the word "moderators" of a prayer board?

Posted by: Christian Commando

Crystal- very insightful, but you must remember, it is not to be what I say, but that which I share of God's Word, people are to decide wether to believe or not. As Paul declares, it is not of his command but that of God what we are to believe.

Keep in mind, I believe God has led Pastor Jerry to structure this Prayer Board, as the standard Church was established back in Apostlic days. A Church Sheperd was chosen, then others under him, chosen, all by God, to help in the operation of the ministry-(Church) that was started.

Just as there is a Pastor as head of the Church, he or she also has Deacons and lay leaders chosen by God thru them to help take care of the necessary operations of that ministry. It is by no accident, but a leading of God, Pastor Jerry structured the operations of this Board as he has, with sub leadership from Shawn, to Akabezalel, other Moderators and Prayer Warriors to help keep it going as required by God, according to growth.

I don't know your reasoning for mntioning my remark being told I demonstrated a particular Gift. This was not for the purpose of boasting, but for understanding the point I wanted to put across about the necessity of reading and studying God's Word and events and doctrines going on to know whether of God or not.

I do not expect you or anyone else to take me at my word, but to check it out for themselves. I'd much rather get others in the practice of seeking God's Truths on thier own, than convince them to always come to me for answers. I don't have them, but God only. I only know that which God has taught me and still am learning daily.

A main point here as well, has also to do with faith, as you said you'd question my info if not experienced things yourself. Don't believe me, research and study God's Word if true or not. I'm falable Crystal, I'll make mistakes. God will not and does not
make mistakes. I hope people will test the Spirit of my words, as I want them to learn to search for God's Truth in His Word themselves.

Keep in mind as well, not all religions call Deacons by this title, there are "Lay Leaders etc. Thus, sub leaders within all manner of ministries have variying titles according to thier purpose, called by God under thier Ministry Leader. God's Word is called the Bible, but you won't find that word used by God in His Word to describe His Word. You'll also find many Scriptures describing an event we call the "Rapture", even tho that title for it is not stated in God's Word.

The main thing about manifestations are what or how they change a person's life. This will ultimately lead them to understanding and seeking Salvation so as to belong to God. Why? Because ye are saved by Grace thru faith, not by works, lest any man should boast.

Thats right Crystal, to a part in needing love to share that knowledge, but we also need God's Wisdom to know how to use the knowledge we have gained from God, to Glorify Him only. As God declares His knowledge and Wisdom makes man's look foolish.

You may think I was trying to boast of my knowledge and experience. I was not, but only using my experience as a support for understanding what God has shown me in my life of helping others.

But, I've also witnessed alot of miracles and more claimed to have been of God for someone, yet th "Fruit they bear" does not coincide with what should be manifest from such events in how it changed thier life. But that is not necessary to wait and see, if already notice the events or miracles are not seen in God's Word.

Satan doesn't just "copy" God's Mircales as seen with Judas who Christ called- "Diabolis"- (the devil in human flesh), but also in masquerading as an Angel of Light too. This is why there needs to be a testing of the Spirit but also older children of God being responcible enough to help younger ones as required when approached as such.

I pray this helps you and others understand better where I'm coming from. My ultimate goal is to Glorify God only, not edify myself in any way.

God Bless!!

C.C.

I respect your reply and do understand where you are coming from and appreciate your explanation and your honesty. bless you for that.

I, the same as you am not without flaws or failures and in my weak and carnal flesh i can so displease and fail the lord along with the many others i so love and care about and whom love and care about me. most of all, i can grieve "him" and his holy spirit and hurt the heart of the very one whom came to save and fill my empty and sinfilled soul.

We are all growing and learning in the body of christ and none of us are without need to know and learn the truth and to share that truth with others.

we all are at different stages in our christian or "christlike" walk and some are more mature than others and understandably so for some have been born again of the spirit for many years and others just recently-------we, his people, are his church whether babes or the matured. we are his ministers of rightousness and truth.

but sometimes mere babes in christ can so amaze me with the hunger in their very beings for more of the love of christ and how quickly they can learn and absorb the word of the lord. they can be so very naive and innocent also in the spiritual realm which is so very spiritually becoming. i think the word says we are to have the faith as a child-------

may we all keep pressing into the bosom of christ so that we may truly be one within him and the (his) body of christ----

for we are all one in him already if we belong to him. there is no jew, nor greek, nor black or white, no male nor female. we are all one of the same in him. there is none above the other. also, no babes, no matured, we are all the same in his eyes. he can use the very least of these which includes even you and me.

we are all his children and he is no respector of persons whether it be in callings, or gifts or wisdom and knowledge for we all are called. many are called but few are chosen.

we all have been called by him and his plan, and his purpose and his destiny for all our lives is to passionately live to glorify him. that is my greatest desire and my hope and prayer is that my life will do just that---- and that his love within and through me will touch and bless many others.

less than that, i will fail him and my desire is to please only him and not fear man, but to fear only christ the lord the only one whom can and has saved my very soul.

may i always be teachable and willing to hear and listen to those whom the lord might use to minister his truth to me in an area of my life where i need it the most. i praise the lord for those he does use to minister to me whether in body or in spirit and may he bless each and everyone of them!

may the lord continue to teach you, mature you and use you and that your life will be a vessel that will always please and honor him C.C!

may you be blessed C.C.

But does the gold dust cause you to focus on CHRIST?

This thread is getting me very distracted from focusing on The Lord.

I do not seek gold dust; I seek The Lord.

Sometimes when one of these discussions is going strong (and I don't just mean this one), all I can do all day is think of getting home and posting in that thread.

As to names and titles, it is BIBLICAL to go by a name and title. Consider, Paul beginning his letters with "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ." But I will not post more on that here. This thread is about whether oily hands and gold dust or of God or not. I won't even attempt to answer that question.

I really have ONE DESIRE in life that overrieds all: To get as close to God as possible and to encourage others to do the same. I pray that would be all of our focus and goal.

In Jesus Name, I pray it's so. AMEN!

thank you jerry for your reply ----
the very first question from fredereck was the main topic about gold dust, gold fillings etc, etc. and this is how all of this debate begin. i understood fredereck's questions but did not have the answers and many others did know some of the answers.

could you elaborate on the original question that was posted at the begining with frederick's question and some of the other questions we have all been asking too if you please?

awhile back in one of your postings you mentioned the many millions you have preached to and so very many revivals as well.

what is your understanding concerning many of the manifestations that have seem to have come forth in some revival meetings along with just church services as well? would you be willing to share some of your experiences concerning the gold dust and some of the others etc, etc,----this was the original question. have you experienced the gold dust, the filling of teeth or been a witness to it?

I also want you to know that I have given and received PMs from jerirose along with C.C. and making sure they knew that the last thing i was attempting to do was offend them or wound their heart. I was wanting to be scriptural in all my responses for one of C.C.'s posting said some manifestations could not possibly be of god when i myself along with others know they are.

maybe you could read back to all the postings at the beginning if you havent already. but i think his wording was if a certain manifestation was not mentioned in the bible then god could not be in it. i am grateful that i am not a brand new christian for some of the answers would have really thrown me off.

to be upfront and honest that stirred some spirits up knowing myself i have had many miracles along with signs and wonders and knew without a doubt they were sent from the lord.

I also believe i may have misunderstood C.C. in his posting but i took it to mean every thing the lord did or does for us and his manifestations all have to be written word for word more or less in the scripture or they in no way can be from god.

i believe these manifestations are under the wording of signs and wonders. you having ministered to many for many years all over the world i would assume have experienced many of these manisfestations and would have spiritual discernment whether they are or are not from the lord.--- and we all know some can fake them and satan can imitate them.

have you ever had a teaching on this website concerning this and if you do i have never come across it but would like to hear some teaching about it. in the manifestations the lord has granted and graced me with, there was such a confirmation that there was no doubt but i know we if not careful can be fooled.

back to the above sentence. I apologized to C.C. and jerirose in the sense that I in no way put either of them down, nor was that my intention----and the lord knows my heart. it was not my plan to bring forth such defensiveness in each of them or to offend them. however, it seems i did and i have apologized and made my peace with god and hopefully them but that is between them and the lord. and i chose to learn and grow from this and to from now on how to speak the truth in love and i should have questioned and discussed this with C.C. in a private message.

it does stirr me up however to see prayers answered sometimes so quickly and without much thought it seems and lacking spiritual basis. i am not any ones judge on here and i am well aware of that but as you can see i am in a judgment seat right now and being accused of something that i did not intend to do. with the lord right beside me, with and in me,

i am not in any way offended but am accused but for some weird reason i have joy. i am in much need of being more scriptural in every day of my life and in the words i say also as far as that goes and would covet your prayers.

i was wanting to bring to attention that how serious it is should we lead someone astray and how important it is when one whom is praying should reply back with always the answer to ones best ability, a reply or prayer that is scripturally based and after some thought and prayer.
many years ago had someone answered me quickly without much thought, on a prayerboard and a wrong bible response i may have been the very one who would have comitted suicide with a response such as that right after i hung up the phone. one never knows.
if you have walked that walk---the road of despair, desperation and suicidal tendencies, and you very well may have, then it would be much easier to understand sometimes it takes only one wrong answer or something else on anyones mind that the response does not click with the one crying out for help.

we all know praying for others takes much time, much strength and much praying for them backed with biblical scripture that can and hopefully give them hope to go on. words have to come straight from the heart of god and his holy spirit and must be anointed so they can touch, change and restore them to the father whether they be saved or lost.

i am in full agreement with callings, titles etc, etc that is spoken about in the bible. but do have some questions about names and titles that are not found in the bible. i do not look to man when i disagree with something, i do my best to go to the word of the lord and see what it says. i would hope we all being children of the lord could be able to disagree agreeably with only more understanding and compassion of each other and myself learning how to speak something that is on my heart with the truth in love.

i do not want to be suspicious and out of balance and disbelieve everything and anything someone whom is in leadership or otherwise tell me----- nor do i desire to be so ignorant of the word of the lord that i believe anything and everything that is being told to me either. so i must seek and search the scriptures for myself and that is where i can find it-----and knowing enough not to take the scripture out of content just for my own satisfaction or whatever. it is my place to seek and find the truth, not your's!

you know pastor jerry, even though i have never met you, i think i have called you pastor a few times, i have learned much from this and hopefully grown and i do want to make peace with those whom have been offended and i have found that when my heart is in tune with the lord and he knows my heart and where i am coming from, he will always be my defense.

however, i am not looking for that but he always amazes me not only with his defense but with his righteous judgment as well in my life! i also know he will be your defense whom pray on this board also and that is how we know how very much he does love us.

may all hurts, offenses be healed as that was not my intent. but i did want to stir up some attention to what i knew to be true due to the awesome testimony of my life before and after jesus christ and the many miracles, signs and wonders he has so blessed me and my family with----some no doubt you may not believe but are so very true! no one ever can take this away from me nor tell me it was not of god! i know that truth.
Pray for me that my love walk grows stronger and that i will humble myself before the lord so that he will not have to humble me. my desire is only to please him and live to glorify him in every area of my life and to see many prayers answered and people born again and have changed lives. i truly want everything i ever say or do always be backed by his word and his truth so i can hear him say well done thou good and faithful servant. "you done it unto the least of these and you have done it unto me!"

this is part of the process of growing and learning he has for me and i am grateful for every time he teaches me, humbles me, and shows me he is my lord and i am his servant! i hope and pray we can all have better understanding of each other now and that this can be turned around for this prayer boards good and more than that to God's glory. and all of you can move on to what you are called to do!

thank you again p jerry for your response and maybe sometime give us a lesson on signs and wonders and the manifestations concerning them for i know for sure there are those whom would really appreciate an understanding and enlightening as well.

be blessed jerry, jerirose and C.C. and may the lord favor all of you in your lives, homes, ministries and callings----even your TITLES!!!

Much love to all of you and may you forever be blessed!! may anointed.one be blessed with the blessings of the lord!! may the leadership---pastor, his family, the moderators, the warriors, anyone else? can't remember but you be blessed too should i have forgotten your name and tital!!

the joy of the lord is my strength!!

Dear Chris:

Oh what a blessing you are.

You are one of the ones who make this site the blessings it is.
We could not do this without you.

I love the diversity here at anointed.net
I love the diversity of backgrounds and maturity.
I love the trust and freedom so many feel as they post their prayers and their compassion for the WORD.

I will try and answer your questions later.
It is 4:48am right now.

Yes I have had all of these miracles in the meetings.
But I never look at the Miracles except to thank the Lord if they get someone saved healed or delivered.
I look at the fruit and I mostly look at Jesus.

I never tire of the presence of my precious Holy Spirit.
I never tire of the Word
It always excites me to learn something new.
I never tire of seeing Jesus work in the lives of so many

May the Lord Bless you my Friend
Pastor Jerry

thank you so much jerry for your reply and doing so in the wee hours of the early morning! my last posting may have not made much sense either as it was very late as well but i do appreciate your replying back.

I would really enjoy a teaching from you on the very subject we all have been discussing and debating when you could find the time for it is something we need to know about and be aware of in these last days.

I guessed and knew you would have witnessed many of the things we talked about on here and would be the very one that could maybe enlighten and give us just the very information just by your own experiences and discernment that many of us are looking for.

that would be a great bible study or class even on the prayer board and i for one would be interested in learning more about this subject. but as you and others have said, we aren't to look for signs, wonders and miracles but the lord does use them and have a plan for them such as souls saved and lives changed for his honor and glory! and they are wonderful for only he can do such awesome wonders!!

i want to be bibically correct as well concerning issues such as this not only for my own benefit but for others whom cross my path too. i am sure you could spend hours speaking on the many, many miracles, signs and wonders that have been manifested before your very eyes and you have been a part of them too, how wonderful to have been a part of god's great glory!

thank you again for your kind reply and may you and your family be blessed in all ways and the lord's favor always be upon you!

Hi Rachel.
With this stance you basically leave the door wide open for everything and everything could be from God. If God always came up with new stuff and new manifestations then he wouldn't be the same. I cannot imagine this. If God changed every few hundred years then the bible wouldn't be much of a help and much of a guidance for christians because the bible is nearly 2000 years old. What if a pastor gets up in church and tells you that God gave him some new revelations which are not in the bible? So many preachers on TV do this! They always talk about new stuff which God showed them and the christians are curious and totally like hearing about new revelations and so on but they do not realize that this is dangerous. If God always came up with new stuff then we have no stability at all and nothing to rely on. What do you do if a pastor tries to sell you "anointed" juice for 50$ a bottle telling you that this is God's new way of healing sick christians? What do you do then? Is it from God or is it not? How do you judge it? What if he tells you that God appeared to him in a vision telling him that the body of Christ is sick and they lack faith and God still wants to heal them and because of this he's going to anoint juice and everybody who drinks it will be healed. I guess according to your opinion this could very well be from God. Basically everything could be from God if God constantly came up with new stuff but I think that this is only confusing and God is not the author of confusion. Stability is important but if God always came up with new revelations and new miracles then Satan could easily deceive christians and copy God or also come up with new stuff and the christians would fall for it.
I have even heard christians say that they roar as a part of spiritual warfare! Imagine a christian comes up with a new idea and says that God told him to create so called "Warfare networks" where christians meet every week and then they stand there and roar for half an hour because roaring has a special meaning in the spiritual world. It's linked to the Lion of Judah who is Jesus and every time a christian roars it has an impact on the spiritual world. This even sounds reasonable.
I guess if God always invents new things then you can justify everything and make it sound biblical.

My friend Frederik-

No, seeing things God may do does not mean He is not the same. What it shows is, still falling inline with His Word, when this manifestation is effecting lives so deeply, it leads unsaved to Salvation, God's children to seeking and following God more fervently, but also more set in, which is not just a temporary thing.

As Pastor Jerry related to, it has to do with the "Fruit" it produces. What must be realized is, as apparently I was taken wrong, a manifestation may not be found in God's Word what happens, it depends on the results that must still be inline with God's Word.

I've witnessed alot of imitations of satan of God's manifestations, yet have not seen the "Fruit" produced afterwards either. Therefore, it really is not based on the manifestation, but the results it brings about afterwards. Unsaved should be led to true Salvation in God thru Christ, but also a change in God's children as they are touched by the Holy Spirit thru the experience.

I may be somewhat strict on what I accept as Godly manifestations, as have seen several churches almost go under by those imitations of satan, yet never put God in a box I continue to learn thru out my own life.

Pastor Jerry has also enlightened me in the realization of not limiting God, yet being aware of the "Fruit" produced to know if of God or not. Thus, this will show, if inline with God or not.

I pray this helps, and thank you Pastor Jerry for helping me as well to spread my boundaries of understanding God even more.

God Bless!!

I believe this falls under "signs and wonders" or under "miraculous works." There is a gift of miracles that some have, and who can say what all these miracles encompas? I stand by our #1 focus must be Jesus, but I also do believe that these manifestations are real. I have heard people's testimony of such, and I met a man who had the gold on his teethe and he felth oil pour over his cheek, after which the gold was in his mouth. I simply think we get too caught up in these things and get our focus off Jesus. It is kind of like the rich man who wants to know he is loved for more than his money. Jesus wants to know He is loved for more than the miracles He does. In keeping Jesus our FIRST LOVE, we should be seeking Him not miracles. It is about a RELATIONSHIP with the Lord, not about what He can do for us.

Yes, you are quite right JeriRose. I ask forgiveness for that, as had gotten used to watching more at such things and less at the "fruit" it bears. Jesus really does need to be our focal point or nothing else is important.

God Bless!!

Lord, let us be looking for You, not for gold dust or any other manifestation. These manifestations are from You at times, but let us not seek the manifestation but The One who sends those manifestations. We pray that we will pray more and discuss less (not that discussion is wrong). We pray that we will put YOU first, always in ALL things. Rather than wondering about the awesomeness of such things, let us stand in AWE AND WONDER OF YOU!!! We want a right focus -- a God focus, an "I can't get enough of HIM focus." Let us get our eyes and keep our eyes on Jesus and get them off the manifestations. Rather than spending long hours debating, discussing or otherwise being distracted from You, let us spend long hours BEING WITH YOU. We are so easily led from that single focus of seeking You, and it is not just with Christian discussions on this board....It is with many, many things. We simply ask, now, to be restored to a zeal and ferver to seek and pursue You whole heartedly. I know how desperately I need this.....and pray that all of us may clear out everything that is keeping us from being as near to You as possible. I ask and pray these things, in Jesus Name, amen.

The Bible says that these signs and wonders will follow those that believe...

Not that those that believe will chase after the signs and wonders.

I just heard of diamonds being left behind on the floor following prophetic gatherings and manifestations of the Holy Spirit recently at a couple of different meetings in Texas.

What next?
