Where in the OLD TESTAMENT does it say that the messiah will be the ultimate sacrifice for sin and why it is needed???
Is that even in the Bible. My friend is Jewish and he says it is not there and that is why Jesus is not the messiah.

Does anyone know?
where does the OT ever state that an ultimate sacrifice is necessary or ever will be necessary?
I need to know, please.

I rarely come by this section of town
The first text that came to mind is Isaiah 53 (The Suffering Servant) Which is a very detailed discription of Jesus.
Daniel 9:24-27
Do you have a Bible?
You cannot go into spiritual warfare unarmed.

ISRAEL'S DELIVERANCE THROUGH THE PASSOVER LAMB
Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures we see pictures which God painted of the Messiah to come, who would redeem the Jewish people from their enemy. One of the most important of these pictures is found in the story of Passover. God wanted the Jewish people to know about the Passover Lamb. So in order that they would never forget it, He commanded them to observe the Passover Feast forever!
God tells us in the Tenach to always remember that we were slaves in Egypt, and that He delivered us in a miraculous way. We are reminded over and over again that it was in the first month of the year that our forefathers came out of the land of bondage.
"And ye shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever." (Exodus 12:17)
We will read other Scripture portions where God told His people to always remember how they had been delivered out of slavery in Egypt.
"And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage...." (Exodus 13:3)
The Children of Israel were delivered out of the land of Egypt and out of slavery when they obeyed God's directions concerning the lamb.
Dear Jewish Person, when you read your own Bible, the Tenach, you will find that the way God provided for our fathers to be delivered was through the death of an innocent lamb, one for each household. The only way they could be set free from slavery was if they observed God's commandment and struck the blood of that lamb upon their doors.
The only way they could rest from their work for the Egyptians and have health and strength for their journey, was to eat of the meat of that lamb and leave in the morning -- even as God had told them to do. The day in which they were freed from the bondage of their Egyptian taskmasters was the Sabbath. They rested from slavery. They were free at last.
God made a way for our fathers to no longer live as bondmen or servants. God provided rest from their servitude to the Egyptians so that they could worship the true God in peace without distractions or restrictions. What was the way God provided? I will repeat the answer: It was through the death of an innocent lamb!
In so many ways - even in the ritual and ceremony of this Feast - the picture comes to life as God describes the Redeemer of Israel throughout the account of the Passover. We remember the slavery of Israel to the Egyptians and how God spared His people during the awful plagues of judgment.
The last plague was the judgment of death in every household in the land of Egypt. Yes, there was death - not only in every house of the Egyptians - but there was death also in the houses of all the Children of Israel as well!
The death that occurred in the homes of the Egyptians was that of their first-born, for there was no lamb or blood shed for them. In the homes of the Israelites there was also death but it was the death of an innocent lamb whose blood was shed, and then applied to their doors, to save them from God's judgment.
God had said to them through Moses, that He would go through the land of Egypt and when He saw the blood of the lamb upon their houses, He would pass over them.
"Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb, according to your families, and kill the Passover.... For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when He seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you." (Exodus 12:21-23)
Do you see what God was saying to the Jewish people here? What would be the remedy for their salvation? What would be their redemption, their escape from death in Egypt? As God directed - they were to take the life of a pure, blameless lamb for their freedom. They were to kill this lamb, shedding its blood. The blood then was to be applied on their doors.
God prophesied to the Jews that there would come a Messiah who would be called "The Lamb of God." He would be innocent and blameless. He would shed His blood on the Altar of the Cross, and the life He would give would be the redemption of their soul. It would result in their freedom from slavery and bondage.
The Israelites who obeyed God's commandment, striking the blood of the lamb on their doors, were set free and left the land of bondage. So must each Jew and Gentile today, accept the life of the Lamb of God, the Messiah Jesus, to be delivered from their sin.
Let me ask you, where is the Lamb for your Passover? Have you accepted the life of the Lamb Yeshua, which was laid down for you? Have you obeyed God's commandment to take a Lamb for your salvation, your deliverance from spiritual death? Yeshua Ha Meshiach is that Lamb. He is your Passover. Won't you receive Him today?
