Pray for the muslims!

As Christians, we must see ourselves as the servant of the King, as citizens of heaven rather than citizens of our own particular countries.

I was very disturbed by one occassion, when the news broke up that muslims were being tortured by the US army and how many of my brothers and sisters in Christ reacted.

These brothers and sisters in Christ who would have prayed fervently if they had heard of a fellow US citizen or even a israeli kid being tortured, only reacted with indifference to what happened to the muslims.

They were no fervant prayers, no exclaimation of anger at the outrageous acts of the US soldiers. Torture, it seemed, became pardonable when it was done by their own US boys and done on wicked, undeserving viscious enemies, muslims, who were like beasts.

This saddened my heart greatly, because firstly, many of these muslims might be innocent, and secondly, even if they were not, they were made in the image of God and deserved better treatment than indifference.

Instead of hoping for their extermination, why don't we, as christians prayed for their salvations. Why don't we bless our enemies as the early believers had chosen to bless our forefathers instead of asking God to judge our forefathers for their sins against them?

When Saul actively persecuted the early believers, they did not ask God to strike him dead but they prayed for his salvation. Thanks God that they did not ask God to strike him dead, but ask God to forgive him for his sins against them.

Today, we can become christians because Paul, feeling full of gratitude towards the God that had pardoned him, the persecutor of Christians, worked harder than the other apostles and was used by God to spread the gospel to us, the gentiles.

Why couldn't we give that same chance to our muslim brothers and sisters in Christ. Let put aside our hatred, our prejudices towards them as beasts and prayed with our whole beings and our whole hearts for their salvations, for their reliefs from pain like how we would have done for our friends, for our neighbours, for our fellow citizens.

Really. Let defeat evil by good. Let defeat hell by turning our enemies to be our friends. Let's fall on our knees together to pray for those who were our enemies. Jesus did that for us. Let us did the same thing for those who persecuted us, and who hated us.

Like you, I am not perfect. Sometimes, I am tempted to send judgments to people who rejected me and hurt me, the child of the living God. But let us all tried together as imperfect human beings to feel a little more love and concern for those who are really the scrums of this world, the idiots, the murderors, the terrorists, the beasts, the whatever we would usually call them and for once prayed for them because they held the image of God within them.

Let's fall on our knees together to pray for the most undeserving of all people. Our enemies.

Perhaps it's becuase we don't trust everything the news media tells us. They take incidents like this and use it to bad mouth the entire U.S. military. On this site, though, we do pray for Muslims. We had a couple threads where we prayed for Saddam Hussein's salvation. I have been and do and will continue to pray for Muslims to be saved, for the Muslim nations to be evangelized. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Father God, we pray for the salvation of Muslims the world over. We pray that they will continue to see visions of "The Man In White." I pray they will be led to faith in Jesus Christ. I ask for revival to hit every Muslim nation on earth and also to hit every area in non-Muslim nations where Muslim communties are. I thank You and praise You for saving these descendants of Abraham. In Jesus Name, amen.
