Operation Rescue labels Obama 'a wolf in sheep's clothing'

Rusty Pugh

January 23, 2007

A prominent pro-life activist says presidential candidate Barak Obama is a "wolf in sheep's clothing," making him the most dangerous kind of liberal, pro-abortion politician.

Despite being a favorite of the liberal media, Illinois Senator Barak Obama is a terrible presidential candidate, says Troy Newman of the Kansas-based pro-life group, Operation Rescue. Newman says while Obama is a charmer and puts on a good front, he is an enemy to pro-life Christians. The activist explains his "wolf in sheep's clothing" description of the Democratic lawmaker.

"He'll say some of the most outstanding, evangelical statements -- and then turn around and vote for the most outrageous pro-abortion policies," says Newman. "When he was [a lawmaker] in Illinois, he stood his political ground on supporting partial-birth abortion; and he's doing that in the U.S. Senate now as well."

Newman says in his opinion, it is impossible to be a Christian and support partial-birth abortion, which he considers the most radical form of infanticide.

Thanks for the info. Was wondering about his use of the word "faith." Was wondering how he stood on issues that have a definite right and wrong to them. Will be praying God brings us a Godly person to be the next president.

--Recent quote by former President Bill Clinton.

As far as Candidate Hilary Clinton is concerned here is where she stands on some issues:

1. Currently dissatisfied with the way the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 tackles what she views as the root causes of terrorism by improving education around the world. She voted for the USA Patriot Act in October '01 when it was first enacted, then supported a general filibuster against it, on the grounds that the renewal legislation did not appropriate enough money for her state (New York) for anti-terrorism efforts.

2. Also said she was troubled by the December '05 NSA warrantless surveillance controversy. She said, "The balance between the urgent goal of combating terorism and the safeguarding of our most fundamental constitutional freedom is not always an easy one to draw. However they are not incompatible, and unbridled and unchecked executive power is not the answer." She has sponsored and copsponsored several bills relating to protecting Americans from acts of terrorism as well as providing assistance to the victims of such acts.

3. Islam: On February 20, 1996 she accepted two gifts of Qur'an during a Muslim celebration of a holy day and said, "I am honored to have these gifts...one for my husband, and one for me, as Chelsea (daughter) already has her copy. I have to admit that a good deal of what my husband and I have learned about Islam has come from my daughter." Later that year she remarked to the Los Angeles Times that, "Islam is the fastest-growing religion in America, a guide and pillar of stability for many of our people...".

4. Clinton voted to give President Bush authority to go to war. In November of '05 in a letter to her constituents she said, There are no quick and easy solutions to the long and drawn out conflict the Bush Administration triggered....I do not believe that we should allow this to be an open-ended commitment without limits or end. Nor do I believe that we can or should pull out of Iraq immeidately." On June 15, '06 she charged that President Bush "rushed to war" and "refused to let the UN inspectors conduct and complete their mission."

5. Clinton is a strong supporter of Israel. She has voiced her support for a strong United Nations. She draws praise from conservative commentators and lawmakers for her tough stance on illegal immigration. She wants to create a system shereby workers can immigrate to the United States legally and be tracked. Senator Clinton has strongly criticized businesses for hiring ilegal immigrants.

6. Abortion: Clinton has been a staunch supporter of the legal right of a woman to end her pregnancy by abortion as determined in the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision of 1973. Clinton believes that the acceptance and availability of birth control and sex education will reduce unwanted pregnancies and the number of abortions. Clinton has a 100% score with the National Abortion Rights Action League voting in favor of maintaining the legality of abortion with every vote on the subject.!

7. In a December 2003 interview with John Roberts of CBS News, Senator Clinton expressed her opposition to same-sex marriage while affirming her support for some form of civil unions for gay couples. "Ithink the vast majority of Americans find gay marriage to be something they can't agree with. But I think most Americans are fair. And if they believe that people in committed relationships want to share their lives and, not only that, have the same rights that I do in my marriage, to decide who I want to inherity my property or visitn me in a hospital, I think that most Americans would think that that's fair and that should be done."

However, when speaking before conservative or faith-based audiences, Senator Clinton says that she personally is against same-sex marriage on moral and historical grounds. In the same interview with Roberts, Senator Clinton expressed opposition to the Federal Marriage Amendment, a proposed constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. "I think that would be a terrible step backwards. It would be the first time we
ve ever amended the Constitution to deny rights to people. And I think that should be left to the states. You know, I find it hard to believe in one program (health care) I'm agreeing with Newt Gingrich, now I'm about to agree with **** Cheney. But I think Vice Presidend Cheney's position on gay marriage is the right one."

Clinton supports students' indifidual right to pray at public schools, but on their own time and not during class. She does not, however, wish to inhibit students from free espression of their religious beliefs in school assignments. Clinto also affirms schools' right to teach religion and moral values, but only for appropriate educational purposes.

Here's an interesting dream posted here under Prophetic Dreams and Interpretation by Mama Cat about USA's first black President. ***deleted by aka***
Just thought this might be interesting to share even though Mama Cat has not been here for a while.

My son attends college in Austin, Tx. I enjoy asking him what young college people are saying about this election. Sheepishly, he jokingly remarked, "Many say they're voting Obama, and that he'll be our next President. They also pedicted Hillary would be his Vice President. Obama will gets killed while in office leaving Hillary to become our first women President." I don't believe Obama will pick Hillary as his Vice, but I think it's interesting hearing what this younger generation is thinking. I've heard alot of folks say that Obama could be The Anti-Christ?

eagle4him,
I agree with you, we must vote our values and beliefs. This year my youngest in elementary school learned about leaders supporting abortion (even late term!). Killing these babies was unamaginable to them! They could not image any person voting for leaders who supports this.

Thanks for beinging up this topic on Presidential Candidates!

New post below; requesting response from "aka". Please see my next post.

From what has been demontrated by all candidates so far, they are all "woves in sheep's clothing". The supposed independant Republican candidate was a Liberal before and still backs liberal thinking and methods for his platform. Besides the fact both Obama and hilary have pulled stupid moves in thier campaigns and were caught and chastised good by the other runners.

In this election, 3 of us plan to "write in" votes for each other, as we don't believe in any of those running otherwise. That may sound stupid too, but... I'd rather vote for someone not really running I can trust, than any of those running you can't.

God Bless!!

Hey CC,

Yes, I agree. Last time someone in the media encouraged Texas Republican voters to vote Democratic "out of fear" that ________ could possibly beat _____. Fill in the blank with whatever name you want. Fear isn't a good motivation to be voting for any candidate in my opinion.

Just my $ 0.02.

I agree 100 percent. Of the major front runners right now, i would say the only option is a pick your poison type scenario. im a little worried that the GOP seems to be very torn right now. Many are unsatisfied with John mcain being the nominee. In the latest primary, even tho he is the clear candidate, he only got 75 percent of the republican vote..... wich by the way only about half as many republicans voted as democrats. 16 percent voted for Ron Paul (Ron Paul supporters are unlikely, i believe, to vote for John Mcain the the general presidential election.) The other roughly 10 percent of GOP voters voted for Huckabee ( who has dropped from the race) These 25 percent votes could really be seen as a no confidence vote for John Mcain.

My point is how can John Mcain win the presidency with most republicans not turning up to vote at all? and of the republicans that voted, 25 percent will not vote for john mcain.

just some food for thought. this will be very interesting how the race developes

Yes, I know we are to have faith in God that the right candidate will be put in power. My problem is, which is the lesser evil of the 3, when all appear to have equal amounts of mud on thier shoes?

So far, no one candidate has God singled out to me yet to vote for. I've had this feeling for some time now, as the candidates were coming out and really starting to run for party votes, this will be one of the strangest voting for presidential choices we've had in a long time. Makes me wonder what the final choice will be like.

Samuel W-

You and Gods Grace will have to forgive me for speaking against your bringing out the Mexi-Ameri-Canada treaty to combine the 3 countries. I never thought we'd be faced with all presidential candidates being the only choices that would flip flop and easily back something like that in one Presidential race till now. I am sorry for that.

Let us keep God's Will for who is to be elected, that we choose the Candidate God wants in, not who we believe. Thats my suggestion, as God is "All knowing" not us.

God Bless!!

Thanks Bro. I have to admit, I never thought events for party favs would go to a selection like this. But, Jesus did say things would only get worse, so...

Yes, I love our discussions as well, I always learn things from them.

Obama and Hillary are doing so much damage to themselves, their party and the integrity of the candidacy for the highest elected office in the world, the President of the United States. I am ashamed of the spectacle they have made on TV for all the world to see. No wonder so many in the world hate us.

Father forgive us for our sins. I plead the blood of Jesus over this nation, over this election and over our future. Not our will, Lord, but thine be done, in Jesus name.

I believe it will be Mccain by default.
God bless!
