After twentyone years of marriage my husband has been seeing someone for over a year and now we are getting a divorce.

Dear Lord speak clearly to ptcarol514 concerning her marriage.

The Bible says that You hate divorce, so please inctruct her in the way that she should go.

Job 33:14-18
For God does speak—now one way, now another though man may not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men
as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn man from wrong doing and keep him from pride, to preserve his soul from the pit, his life from perishing by the sword.

Open her heart Lord, and speak to her directly concerning this hurting situation. Comfort her and the children. Strengthen them, help them and uphold them with Your right hand.

Thanks that we can count on You Lord. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

my sincere sympathy at your place of suffering. back in 1998 i had my wife of 7 years come to me and tell me the same thing. we separated, and the next 7 years i prayed and prayed and trusted for her heart to change.
in that seven period, i saw her relationship with the coworker fall apart and become noll and void after two years. i saw her struggle and struggle to recieve forgivness from me. ( in this period the L-rd was working on me)
i saw her start the divorce three times and not go through with it, each time i moved closer to G-d , she would start the divorce.
after seven years, i gave her one more chance to come home, when she did not show up, i said enough is enough. i called her and told her not to stop the divorce, if she did i would carry it through. she got very upset, but still never came home.
after the divorce i saw how many times i used my faith as a whip on her back, and my fear of her repeating her mistake as a road block to me truly forgiving her.
to forgive someone is to truly let go and let it be as though they never committed the sin. Only G=d gives that power to do that.
my advice is not to seek a word of the Lo-d from people, but to recieve it from Jesus first hand. i have had many people try and place my wait for her as some sort of doctrinal evidence of the "right doctrine".
when i was waiting they were all on my side, when i said, enough is enough, many questioned my decision.
my advice is this, if you chose to wait the Lo-d will give you the strenght, if you chose to be free from the wait, he will give you grace to rebulld your life.
i am now married to the woman of G-d i prayed for, i never realized it would not be the one i waited for.
be blessed

I am just getting out of an abusive marriage, and I know the pain you are feeling. Pray above all that Gods will be done. I was asking for strength last night and the Lord pointed me to 2 corinthians where it says do not leave an unsaved man, but let him leave if he wants to. My husband left after 10 years, and although things were very difficult at times, I still feel the sorrow of dreams crushed. I was feeling pretty weak the other day, and a song from needtobreathe came on, called shine on. I was so comforted. Put your trust in Jesus, He won't hurt, cheat, or abuse you, and His love never goes away. I will pray for your strength and blessings, please pray for mine. We will overcome.

Heavenly Father, be with my hurting sister today, let her feel your loving presence, and be comforted by your true word. Give her peace in her situation, letting her know your plan is so much better than this. Every corner she turns, dear Lord, let her run into you I pray. Be with her as she lays her head down to sleep, and as she awakens, starting and ending each day with new hope. Let us rejoice in knowing we can embrace you with reckless abandon, and put our trust in you completely, no matter how many people in this world fail us, let us know you never will. Rebuild our lives, dear Jesus, and help us hang on to all that is good, and let go of bitterness and regret. Give us hope and guidance every day.
In Jesus name I pray, amen

I just want to thank each of you for sharing and ministering to me. This is a very lonely place to be in. But I do know the lord said he would never leave me nor forsake me. I do so much love my husband, I feel like I am never going to see the light at the end of this tunnel

FATHER GOD, I STAND IN THE GAP OF AGREEMENT WITH THIS PETITION WITH THIS MARRIAGE. BE BLESS DEAR SISTER IN CHRIST AND CONTINUE TO KEEP HIM YOUR FOCUS, NOT MAN. AND ALL WILL FALL INTO PLACE AS HE SEES FIT.
