i want to believe

I am seventeen & I want to believe in God.
I mean, I can believe in him,
but, I don't understand how God was made.
How did God come around?
Who MADE God?
That's why it is hard for me to believe in him.
I really do want to believe,
but I don't know how.

That is why it is called 'faith'.

No amount of accumulated information will cause you to believe.

You CHOOSE who you serve.

So wherever God came from, and whatever information you get about it, you will still have to make the decision.

How you have faith is that you fill yourself, your mind and your heart with the Bible.

For instance, see if you can figure out what the Word says about the origins of God.

If you want to know God then consider reading the entire Bible. You could begin with the New Testament and then proceed onto the Old Testament or vice versa. I encourage you to begin today!

An it is my prayer that as you do so God will open your inner eyes and reveal himself to you through His Holy Spirit.

I also pray that as you read on, the Word of God which is sharper than a double-edged sword will pierce your heart and bring you to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Amen

No one knows how God was made or how He came around, but we do know about His Son Jesus Christ. We know He was conceived by Mary a virgin who was married. We know about his teachings in God's Word the Holy Bible. We know about God's and Jesus's nature as we read both the Old and the New Testament.

There is a space in everyone's heart that was made there by God just for Him, and only God can fill that part of our hearts. He placed it in us to have a relationship with Him. In the beginning we had a special relationship with Him as humans in the Garden of Eden. Then both man and woman disobeyed God, and sin entered our world and us. Later God, God choose a people and a nation to teach people the ways of God (that's where you get the Old Testament), but they too fell away and turned to other gods (pagan gods that Satan introduced to mankind after the FAll of mankind) Jesus came to build a bridge back to God (the New Testament was created) but the Whole Word of God should be read and studied both the Old and New Testament. The Bible is the "living" Word from God.

Jesus said," Knock and the Door shall be open...seek and your shall find".....Have you ever seen one of the famous pictures of Jesus standing at a door? That door represents our hearts. Did you notice that the door had no door knob or handle? That's because it can only be open from inside.

If you want to know God and Jesus, pray. Ask Jesus to show you that He is real. Ask Him to unveil your eyes, open your heart, and unplug your ears then read the Gospel of John in the New Testament. If you truly seek God, He is faith and true to reveal Himself to you.

Many years ago I had question like you...and I set out on a quest to know God. I had accepted Jesus when I was a young child, and I knew He was for real. But, I had all these questions as I grew up, and very few answers.
I went to a lady who went to chruch every week, and sang in the chior, and did a lot of work for her church. I asked her if the Bible was the Word of God and how do you know what is true or not. She said,"You read the Bible like you eat fish. You eat the meat and throw away the bones." Now mind you, I had not picked up the Bible and "seriously" read it, or even ask God to help me to know Him. Why? I do not know for sure.

I was shocked to hear her say that. It was crazy for what is meat to me, could be bones for someone else, and what's bones for someone else would be meat to me! Deep in my heart of hearts, I knew this was an untruth. I became confussed for many years of what was the absolute truth. So many religions, so many ways, so many demonations how do you know what is truth or not. This is a dangerous place to be in spiritually and Satan knows this.

I met another lady who told me many things and slowly over time she introduced me to the Occult. She too was seeking God, but we both were lead down a path that only leads to Hell. Due to this, I later had encounters with the supernatural, and each step lead me further and further from God. UNTIL, one day, and that day changed my life forever.

I cried out to God, and prayed to Him for help and He came and delievered me from Satan's grasp. I ended up going to chuch with an old childhood friend and that began my journey back to God. I got into a Bible study called Bible Fellowship which is International. It was a seven year Bible Study, studying both the Old and New Testaments. That was my saving Grace learning and knowing God's Word. The only solid floors to stand on in this world is God's Word "the Holy Bible". And we can claim God's promises for our lives now.

We are both physical and spiritual beings. Both need food. Only one gives us eternal life. We are in a spiritual battle for our very lives and souls. War has been declared on mankind by Satan, and he plans to take as many captive as he can before his time is up. We have choices, God did not creat us as puppets He gave us a "free will" to choose Him and have Eternal Life, or choose the world's ways which Satan controls that leads to death and Hell.

There are some of us who have seen both sides of the surpernatural realms, and believe me they do exist, it's just that most people are not aware of them.

Yearinacentury.......You can trust God...just open your heart and He will come. The time has come to come to the Lord, there is a love that's true, Jesus is waiting for YOU, go quickly to the Alter of God, before it's time that He shuts the door. Today is the day of Salvation, now it the time. Choose Jesus and live, and leave your burdens at the Cross, Jesus is waiting.

The Bible says there is a time, when God shuts the door. When Noah built the ark and all the animals were aboard and his family, it was God who shut the door to the ark. The people had over 300 years of Noah witnessing to them about God. The Rapture is coming, we've had over 2000 years of people witnessing about Jesus, Jesus will come for his bride (all living believers), and the Tribulation will come. Now is the time for salvation, now. We do not know the hour when, when death comes for us, it can be today, tomarrow or months or years, but one day death will come. Do you want Eternal life? Choose Jesus and live.

In a book, an angel is speaking to a man who questioned God, listen to what the angel says: "weigh me a pound of fire, measure a bushell of wind, call back a day that has passed."

The man answered, "No man on earth can do that."

And the angel said, "If then you cannot understand things you've grown up with, how can your small capasity comprehend the ways of the Most High. A man corrupted by the corruput can never know the way of the incorruptible."

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU DEAR SISTER. FOR IT IS BY FAITH THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. FAITH THAT GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF ALL YOUR NEEDS, EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE, FAITH, IN HIM MAKES IT ALL POSSIBLE.

God has always been,and you just have to believe in your heart,and soul,that he is,and that he has always existed. Ask the Lord to make known to you,in some Great Spirtual Way. God is real,and He will do just what you ask him to do. The Lord sent his only begotten Son to die for our sins. He did no wrong,but since God loved us so much,he sacrificed his Son for us all. Lord help this soul to get to know what you want them to do in life. Let them know we all have a purpose,and one of them is to serve you. We need to know how to worship you,and give you thanks for all things. Lord I am asking this prayer In Jesus Name,Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Show this young person that You are real. Let him or her have an experience where they so strongly feel Your hand on them that they know You are real and the One True God. Put Christians into this person's path who can speak Your word the way they need to hear it. Let them hear Christian music that appeals to their heart and soul. Guide them to a Christian organization that provides fun things to do among believers. Provide godly mentors for this child. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
