A Prayer for Our Enemies

Lord Jesus, please send your protective and healing presence throughout the Middle East. I know you are with our troops as there are many praying for their protection. But I ask that you permeate your spirit among people of the Islamic faith, especially the Extremists who would do violence to others. I pray not for violence or eradication of these people, but for their salvation. Open their eyes and hearts so that they might see your mighty spirit and hear your voice--like what happened to Paul on his way to persecution of Christians. I pray to you with great expectation in my heart, as I know you have teachers in the Middle East right now, risking their earthly lives to teach our Muslim brothers and sisters. Guide and protect those teachers, ministers, missionaries and other Christians in these predominantly Islamic nations. Stir the hearts of the leaders of Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Come to these people in dreams or visions; touch their hearts so that they might know of God's love for all of us, that there is no "them and us". They share in brotherhood/sisterhood with the rest of humanity in union with Christ. Look upon the Islamic Extremists with mercy because they don't really know what they are doing. Open their eyes Lord, so that they might understand and stop the bloodshed, leading to an end to war with Iraq. I believe you are already working wonders now. Thank you, Lord Jesus. And thanks to anyone who agrees with me in prayer. Amen.

Father God, I pray for a mighty move of God in Iraq. Let the Spirit flow there, touching hearts and opening eyes to and for Jesus. I pray that You will aid the Christians who share, teach, preach, minister, etc. there. I ask that angels be released to protect and assist those working for God in Iraq. Also, may angels attend those who will be heirs of salvation. I pray for the evangelization of the entire nation of Iraq....let every people group there hear the Gospel and be given the chance to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Also, let the Christians there grow strong in the Lord, moving into healing, deliverance and transformation. In Jesus Name, amen.

I continue to tie up the spirits of evil that hate Israel and torment and torture in the Middle East.

I tear down the strongholds of racism and hatred and delusion that hold nations captive.

I overthrow the wickedness that leads them into strife and evil.

Break their hearts and open their eyes to see and open their ears to hear.

I pray that salvation will wash over the nations.
