The Gospel-writing John and the epistle writing John...Is this the same John?

Yep.

And he is the 'Revelation' John, too.

Can't wait to meet him some day!

Yes, they are all of the same John, the Apostle. The Gospel of John historically is said to have been written first alo9ng with the other 3 Gospels sharing of Christ's ministry and Teachings more directly spoken of Christ.

The Epistles of John, are said to be letters written to churchs established, or groups of believers in areas where they established gatherings of Christians, steming from God's ministry of Apostles spreading the Gospel and helping new converts to grow in God thru Christ and by the Holy Spirit's inspiring John in responce to letters he'd recieved from those church's (groups).

Revelation, by historical accounts, was given to John by God, after he was exiled on the Ilse of Patmos. Revelation was given to John by God after all the other writings of John had been done.

Pray this helps
