Lord I pray this day against the spirit of religion. It is a two-headed monster, coupled with pride that thinks that anything done in the name of the Lord is ok.
The spirit of religion is critical. It is prideful. It is deceived and thinks that it is fine. Lord reveal truth this day I pray to Your servants. Lord you said that the way we treat each other is the law and the prophets. This is the foundation! Lord rebuild Your foundation! Put us back on the road of righteousness. Help us to enter through the narrow gate.
Father bring conviction to Your people. Cause us to turn back to You. Heal our minds, heal our souls. Forgive us for our sins, and wash us from head to toe with the blood of Your Son, Jesus.

Heavenly Father, Almighty and Merciful God, You have said in Your Word that pride goes before destruction and an arrogant spirit before a fall. I confess my sins of pride and arrogance in that I have lived my life believing I could be happy and successful on my own and that all of my achievements have come from my own abilities. I confess that in my arrogance and selfishness, I have placed my will and sense of righteousness before Yours and centered my life on myself more than on You. I repent of my pride and selfishness and I pray that all gains made by the enemy in the members of my soul and body would be cancelled and voided. Destroy all the footholds gained by the evil one because of this transgression and bless me with Your forgiveness.
I repent of my fleshly conceits and boastings and promise to always depend and rely on Your divine guidance, wisdom and power in order to make me a useful tool in Your service, for the glory of Your kingdom. I claim the victory of Jesus over all this fleshly world and its earthly wickedness. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Give me the wisdom to know Your will for my life, give me the courage to accept that will and give me the strength in my body to do the things You require of me. Let my life become a living Bible to all those I come in contact with. Let them see Your righteous light shining through all the miracles You choose to bless me with in my everyday life. Let my testimony become an inspiration to all who hear my voice, that they too will desire to have a personal relationship with You and Your Son, Jesus Christ.
I thank You Father God for the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus for the remission of the sins of the world, including my own and I especially thank You for my eternal salvation. I ask that Your Holy Spirit would always remind me that I can do nothing of myself or my own abilities, and that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I pray these things in the holy name of my Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen
