I am in desperate need of prayer. One of my co-workers in a very small office of nurses, HATES me. No matter what I do, she is angry and mean. Currently she is mad at me because I got a cold and consequently so did she. She is directly blaming me for her getting sick. It is nearly impossible to go to work anymore. I am heart sick over the situtation. I know we are to pray for our enemies and those who would do us harm. I don't know that she is an enemy but surely not a friend. And she is trying to do me great harm (mentally). I am finding it diffcult to pray for her and ask God's blessings for her. My mind keeps going back to what she last said. So I am asking for your help. Please pray for Donna and ask for God's blessings. Of course pray for me also, for strength and guidance. Thank you

O dear Lord, have Your will and Your way in this matter. Please bring great peace to this situation. Please bless both of these nurses. Please shower them both with Your love. Please give Kathy strength to get through all of this. Help her to be a good faithful co-worker and bless her with the opportunity to lead Donna to Christ. I ask of You in Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

Thank you for your prayer. It means the world too me. I have never been the object of such pure irritional hate. It is daunting. I am trying very hard to give to God, and will continue to do so.

Wow, praying for those who hate us or are considered an enemy is probably the hardest thing that God has every asked of anyone. If we’ve been offended or hurt by this individual, it’s even harder. I’ve known a lot of people that it took all the restraint in my body to keep from walking right up to them and ripping their heads off their shoulders, God forgive me. The very first step in clearing the way to an effective sincere prayer for someone like that, is you gotta be able to forgive them.

So here’s the prayer I use to forgive the really ugly ones or words to this effect. Fill in the blanks with the appropriate names and offenses.

Dear Heavenly Father, Almighty and Eternally Merciful God of the universe, hallowed be Your precious name. I thank You Father God for the riches of Your kindness, forbearance, patience and love toward me , knowing that Your boundless grace has led me to repentance. I confess that I have not shown that same kindness, love, forgiveness and patience toward those who have hurt and offended me. Instead, I have held onto my anger, bitterness and resentment and allowed it to poison the love You’ve commanded me to have toward them. Forgive me for this sin against You Lord.

Father God, I freely choose to forgive (person‘s name) for (whatever that person did or didn‘t do) because it hurt me and made me feel (name the feeling). Heavenly Father I choose to release any and all rights to revenge or retribution and cast off these enslaving bonds of bitterness and resentment. I ask that You would heal my wounded emotions and bless this person that they may come to know Your mercy, love and grace. I thank You Lord for taking this burden from me and freeing me of its torment. Help me Lord, to use this experience to glorify Your name and Your kingdom, so that anyone who is watching from the edges of my life will see You working Your miracles in me and be inspired to desire to know You for themselves. These things I ask in faith and believing in the most precious name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen

If there’s more than one person involved, then repeat the process for each one until you can really fill the burden of resentment and bitterness leave you. Then pray that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts and restore their compassion for other people and lead them to repentance, forgiveness and salvation.

Father God, thank You for Your limitless grace and mercy and loving kindness to all Your children including me. Help this sister recover from her wounded heart and emotions. Help her Lord to see and focus on Your Love and compassion and let that be the example she chooses to live by when dealing with all Your children, even the ones who hurt us the most. You’ve told us in scripture to repay evil with kindness and there by heap coals of fire upon our enemy’s head and they will be overcome by goodness. Rom 12: 19-21 .

“19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Help us all Lord to be more forgiving.

In Jesus precious name. Amen

Jesus said that if we had unforgiveness in our hearts (hated our brother) we were murderers. There is no place in the kingdom of heaven for murderers, hence loss of salvation.

Knowing this I, too had to struggle with unforgiveness. I asked the Lord to help me because I couldn't feel it in my heart to forgive this person, even though I knew the consequences.

He said to me, "Acts of mercy towards this person is a sign of forgiveness."

One day I asked the Lord why we must pray for our enemies. He said, that I too was the enemy of someone, and I needed their prayers as well.

"In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived."

I pray that you would love this person, for we are commanded to love our enemies, and by doing so, you shall overcome evil with good, just as Jesus has!

I speak a blessing of peace over the office.

I say that strife will NOT enter there and peace will reign.

Lord, please send your love and cleansing flowing through that workplace and surround them with YOUR PRESENCE.

May the very SCENT of you come upon them.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
