Prayer for Overweight Brother

I am coming to you today to ask for prayer for my brother, Darren. My brother suffers from sleep apnea and other problems due to his weight. I cannot tell you how many years its been since he visited the doctor's office. I pray every night for God to wake him up so that he realizes that he need to go get himself checked out.

My brother is a musician. He plays the piano and keyboard well. He has been doing that since the age of 7 now he is 41. He has so much talent and has a great heart, but I worry about his health.

I call him often and I ask him has he made an attempt to visit the doctor? I don't do this everytime I talk to him. I am really afraid that he is scared what the doctor may say. I also feel that he is slightly depress because of his weight.

I would do what I could if my brother were to ask me for help with losing weight because everytime I see him he looks down and he complains about his knees hurting a lot. He is so talented and I want him to continue to show his talent in church and other functions. Please prayer board, help me lift my brother up in prayer so that he makes the step to visit the doctor so that he could work on his weight and health. Thank you

Father God, stir in Darren the need to take care of his body. Father, I pray for Your instruction to be upon him showing him what to eat and what to avoid. Father, I pray that he will get to the doctors and have a physical for Your word says my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. So, I pray that he will seek our a doctor and get the information that he needs in order to get his life in order. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen
