My Mother passed away 2 months ago. I feel lost and alone. I feel removed from God. I am having a hard time praying. This is the first time in my life that I have felt like this and it is scary. I am a lay speaker in my church and am supposed to deliver the message this Sunday. I feel like I will not be able to glorify God feeling the way I do. Please pray that I can reconnect so that I may be able to continue to minister to others and spread the love of God.

I am not sure why you should lose your joy over this.

Losing your parents is a normal process.

I could not understand why kris423sam thinks this is 'the worst thing that can happen to a person'.

My Mother went home to be with the Lord several years ago.

I was happy for her! She is healthy and whole and safe in the arms of Jesus.

Where is the tragedy there?

I miss her, but I sure wouldn't bring her back!

I will see her, and all our loved one's again.

Don't you believe that?
If you don't believe that, then stop preaching until you do!

Your Mom is fine. Rise up in faith and serve the Lord with Joy!

Because of Jesus, you WILL see her again!

I am pretty sure she would tell you to get busy and get on with your life.

Rachel, Thank you for your honest words. I do believe all of the above. I am confident that she is in an infinitely better place. I know that one day we will be reunited. I am just going through the normal grieving and it is wearing me down. I am sure that we all go through wilderness experiences when we need the help of our brothers and sisters in Christ to set us straight. God Bless.

Dear Lord, grief is nomal response to a terrible loss. Comfort Your servant Father God. Wrap Your loving arms about him and wipe away his tears.

Give him the strength in the inner man that he needs in order to continue being effective in Your Vineyard.

In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
