As our National Day of Prayer approaches, I ask all the saints of this board to stand together in agreement in asking this prayer. If you read and agree with what it says, pass it on to as many as you feel led to or to no one at all. Either way, God loves you and so do I. Your brother in Christ - Jon Henry

Heavenly merciful God of the universe,
With Your tender loving gentle hands wipe away all the sadness and despair from our disappointments and failures. Rekindle in us O Lord, the passion we were consumed by when first we believed. Restore in us the peace and calm that comes with walking in the protection of Your will. The enemy has attacked us without ceasing and we are weary of the battle. Refresh Your beloved as only You can do Father God. Clear our minds of the fog of distraction and open our eyes to all the things we have offended You with, that we may repent and be forgiven.

We detest this gulf between us and our heart cries out to be freed from the slavery of our sins. Help us to cast off these yokes of our own making and receive us anew to Your loving kindness, grace and mercy. Let our concerns and tensions drain away from us, as we lay them at the foot of the cross of our Redeemer, Christ Jesus. Forgive all our disobedience and accept our apologies and supplications. We were foolish in thinking we could survive on just our own strengths. We freely admit that we are dependent on You for our very existence and we would perish if it were not for Your generosity and loving kindness. Restore our souls and speak to our hearts with instruction of Your purpose for our lives. Surround us with calm, let us rest in the glow of Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Accept the rededication of our lives to follow Your will and our pledge to love and honor You with every breath we take from now on. Catch us when we stumble and rescue us from the snares of the evil one. Fill us up with Your Holy Spirit and recharge our souls with Your righteousness so we can return to being useful tools in Your kingdom. These things we pray in faith and believing in the most precious name of Christ Jesus. amen

Lord Jesus we pray for National Reconciliation with You. We were forgiven at the cross, but now we need to be reconciled to You.

Jesus first sermon after being in the desert and filled with the Holy Spirit was, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Lord forgive this Nation for turning her back on You! Pour out Your Holy Spirit on us. Revive us Lord!
