Revelation 3:20

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him and he with me."

Already there's a problem! This is one of the 7 letters to the church(es). Why is it that Jesus is on the outside?

This letter written to the church at Laodicea, some theologians say, is the warning to the church today, just before the rapture. It is a church that has become lukewarm to Jesus, neither hot or cold. The church has become wealthy on its own, and has forgotten its first love. Jesus says that He wants to spit this church out of His mouth like vomit. You have to be in His belly in order for Him to spit you out. So this warning is for the church--as we are supposed to be in him and He in us!

Here's a couple other scriptures as "food for thought"!

Matthew 7:22-24

"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'

This scripture is also meant as a warning for the church. You cannot prophesy in the name of the Lord, cast out demons in the name of the Lord or perform miracles in His name unless you are one of His own, saved by His blood and filled with His Spirit!

Also the Greek word for many actually means most, or more than 50%. Can you comprehend what Jesus is warning us about here? Most of His church, those who claim to be saved will find out something different on judgment day. This is a very harsh warning. Do not be complacent about this meaning. What you believe will determine where you will go. And eternity lasts forever!

1 Corinthians 12:3

"...and no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit"

Thank You Lord so much for this insight into Your Word.
