What is it that will 'change' us when it says that 'we will all be changed'?
It is going to happen in the 'twinkling of an eye'.
It doesn't say that God changes us.
It says that 'we will all be changed'.
Could it mean that in the instant that we see Jesus all of our fear and doubt and self-concern and unbelief will fall away and we will REALLY believe?
Could we change now if we got our eyes on the big picture and really understood what was going on here?
Jesus has made salvation and healing and deliverance and freedom and wholeness available to us. Now. Not someday. Now.
Why aren't people living in those available results?
Because they are waiting for God to DO something.
And God is waiting for them to BELIEVE something.
When we see Jesus, we WILL believe and we WILL be changed.
Why not take advantage of all that available freedom now?

1 Cor 15: 51-53 tells us that we will be changed, or our earthly bodies will be transformed into our heavenly bodies. For our physical suits, full of sickness and disease will not survive in heaven. The old must be put off and the new put on.
I've heard it preached that when Jesus comes back, and we are talking about the rapture here, that we will recognize Him because we will be just like him. When this "change" occurs, obviously by God for we cannot change our physical bodies on our own then we will be able to ascend into heaven.
We will be just like Him...but between now and then one of us has to change, and it won't be Him!
Lord, help us to walk in wholeness and transformation this day, as we accept by faith all of Your promises.
Good discussion topic, Rachel.

Rachel R-
Eagle4Him has some of it, but the whole Concept of this "rapture" shows where God declares, when Christ descends from Heaven during this, to meet us in the clouds, He will call to His Church and those who hear this call, with a voice as a trumpet and of Micheal the Arc Angel, we will hear that voice of Christ and recognize it.
At that moment, the dead bodies of those who died before the survivors shall rise first, then those who are alive, shall be caught up with them to meet Christ in the clouds and be with the Lord forever.
This transformation- (transfiguration), will happen as we rise to meet Christ. Corrupt must take on incorruption, sinful, must take on sinlessness, etc.
As with Ezekiel's vision of the Valley of dry bones, when the dry bones were raised up, "sinuine flesh" was put upon the skeletons, this refers to the same type of body Christ had at ressurrection- ressurrected and glorified- (purified).
Our physical bodies will have all sinful tainting removed and will be changed to the same type of bodies Adam and Eve had when still in thier perfected state- pure, undefiled and sinless.
Since man already has a "spirit body" that God created even before we were formed in the belly, because He knew us before conception and is thus "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, the spirit of dead Children of God are already purified and cleansed of sin at physical death. So, thats why the "dead in Christ shall rise first", thier physical bodies will now be joined with thier spirits once again, only the physical bodies will recieve this- "transformation"- cleansing, purification nd glorifying of it, as well as those who are alive belonging to God.
I pray this helps-
God Bless!!

Shortly after I made this post I was accused of making/ maintaining "ungodly soul ties" with women here. Pray for those that hurl insults "in the name of Jesus"!
