POSITIONED FOR A MIRACLE

We are most definitely living in the day and hour of great manifestations of God’s Spirit. We are seeing moves of God happening across the globe, we are seeing supernatural manifestations of all types’ of wealth that is being reported from many nations, to the greatest manifestation, lives being changed, healed and transformed by the power of God. These are truly exciting times!
Many people are believing for some very specific miracles in their lives, families, jobs, business, and ministries. God’s divine ability is able to reach into every area of our lives. There are ways we can position ourselves for these specific miracles that we are putting our faith on.
The first thing we need to do is get our eyes off our past, and what has happened yesterday, bad or good. We cannot let our past experiences dictate our future expectation in God. If we are always looking to yesterday, we will always get yesterdays results. So even if yesterdays results were good or glorious, God still wants to take us deeper and greater. If yesterdays results are not what we are believing for, we certainly do not want to park there!
Isa 43:18-19
8 "Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.”

The Word of God tells us not to even consider the things of old. In other words, don’t give it any time in your mind! For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. (Prov 23:7) The enemy would love to get you to meditate and think of the failures of the past, and get you to even think on things in God that have not manifested yet.
Heb 10:35
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.

Many of you have been challenged in this area of your confidence in what God has promised you. Persecution always comes from your adversary for the “Word sake”. Think about it, if you had not received that specific word from God for your life, would you be experiencing any persecution? Would you be experiencing any opposition and resistance in those areas? No! Its only when we receive a Word from God that it can be challenged by the world, and/or enemy. If that word was not a threat to devils, you wouldn’t be experiencing any resistance. The liar is always going after your faith in that Word, because as long as you are in faith you are in position for a miracle! You are in position for fulfillment of God’s word.
A person who positioned herself in the Word of God for a specific miracle is Hannah. She experienced great persecution:
1 Sam 1:6-7
6 And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the LORD had closed her womb.

Hannah is like many in the Church today, pressing into the things of God in prayer and travail for God’s manifestation in her life of a miracle. A miracle is provision. If you need something that is impossible for you to provide for yourself then it’s a miracle, but because of what had seemed like “lack” in her life, her rival, her opponent severally mocked her. Severely provoked her. Here is Hannah, we see in verse 7, would go up year after year to pay her tithes and give offerings to the Lord. How do we know she was paying her tithes and offerings? We see it in verse 3 where her husband Elkanah would go up every year to pay tithes and give offerings.
1 Sam 1:3
3 This man went up from his city yearly to worship and sacrifice to the LORD of hosts in Shiloh.

7 So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat.

It is important to notice the consistency here with Hannah. Year by year she tithed. Year by year she worshipped. Year by year she made offerings. She was very consistent in the things of God. Many in the body of Christ have been faithful in their tithes, giving and worshipping unto the Lord. While being faithful, your opposition your adversary has provoked many of you. Lack rearing its ugly head, provoking you, telling you “you can’t afford to tithe and give” or mocking you at what appears not to be in your life. Mocking you that you don’t have what you need to make it, whether it be resources and finances needed for your life, or spiritual giftings and mantles you have been believing for. Lack is a liar! Being a miracle is provision, than “lack” is the opposite of a miracle, but lack is just an illusion. As Believers it is not what we “have” that makes us prosperous, but WHO we have IN us that makes us prosperous. We have the miracle worker living inside us! Glory!
So, every year, Hannah going up to give her offerings and pay tithes, her opposition is doing its best to yak in her ear, you will never have a child, you will never have that provision you are believing for, you are barren, you are childless, look at what all the other women have, and you have NOTHING! You are a failure, you will never amount to these other women. I can only imagine the thoughts that she had to struggle with and cast down every day.
All this time, Hannah was pressing in for a Word. Nothing like a prophetic word planted, a seed that will produce a harvest. As she presented her petition to God at the House of God, the man of God said:
1 Sam 1:17
17 Then Eli answered and said,"Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him."

After Hannah had received this Word from the Prophet, she began to eat again and her countenance had changed from sad to glad. Why? Because she was fully persuaded of the outcome, fully confident in the Word God had given her. Even though there was no manifestation of it yet, she knew in her heart it was a done the moment the Word of God was released and spoken into the atmosphere. No rival or opposition was going to bother her from this point on because no longer was she looking at bareness, no longer will she look at the past and previous experiences in her life. Everything that has happened in the past up to this point is forgotten. She chooses not to look at it. It’s a choice. She will not consider the old, but look to the new! To the God who makes rivers in the desert and a road in the wilderness, the adversary can oppose all they want in their talk, she knows in her heart she will bare a child. She will see her miracle come to pass.
The moment God released that Word in your life my friends, it was done! Do not let your opposition throw you off track with its illusions and its false words. Do not throw away your confidence of what God has promised, but continue to be fully persuaded of the outcomes of God. Confidence means: “out-spokenness”. Your confession is very important while you are pressing into your miracle. Do not forfeit your miracle by speaking words of doubt and unbelief, as angels can only move on the Word of God spoken.
We find Hannah receiving her miracle in verse 20:
1 Sam 1:20
20 So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, "Because I have asked for him from the LORD."

Hannah finally sees her miracle in full manifestation. Then, being she was a woman who “followed through” on her vows, she gave this miracle (Samuel) back to the Lord, back to the House of God, and as we know she received five more children. What positioned her for this miracle? Open your hearts right now to receive. Don’t read this as if “you have heard this before”; It was her consistency of year by year she worshipped, year by year she tithed, year by year she made offerings, and did not back down. She did not say, “this tithe and offering thing doesn’t work”. She did not say, “the preacher is just trying to take my money”. She was consistent. You find this principle all throughout the Word. You cannot ignore this Church. The Word works. When you sow in faith you will reap.
Hannahs tithes and offerings not only positioned her for her specific miracle that she desired in her heart, but actually received much more! She was believing for a miracle, but God wanted to DO a miracle through her, work a miracle through her that would effect a NATION, that would effect all of MANKIND!!! That would fulfill purpose She ended up birthing a miracle of the Office of the Prophet that affected the whole nation of Israel, yet also affected all of mankind as Samuel the Prophet anointed David king and was a vital part in preparing the way for Christ to come. God wanted to fulfill purpose through her:
Psalms 20:3 “May He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. May He grant you according to your hearts desire, and fulfill all your purpose.”
Offerings are connected to our hearts desire and purpose. See it? Church, do not underestimate the Word that God has implanted in you that you are still waiting to see the manifestation of. Do not belittle the call of God on your life. Do not let the opposition yak and provoke you out of what God has spoken to you, but know if it is provoking you severely its only because the Word God has planted in you is a threat to the enemy. Never doubt your giving, never doubt your tithing, and never doubt your worship unto Almighty God. These things are positioning you for your miracle, and while you are believing for a specific miracle, God is wanting to DO a miracle through you. He wants to WORK a miracle through you that will affect not just you, but nations, and fulfill His purpose. God’s purposes are never small, they are always BIG. Church, we are positioned for a miracle, and we are positioned for purpose to be fulfilled. If we position ourselves, God will do the rest! Glory!
