RPG stands for Role Playing Game

NES stands for Nintendo Entertainment System

SNES stands for Super Nintendo Entertainement System

Welcome, Jason. This is a prayer site so we pray for and with others. Links are not allowed on the site unless you have get approval from admin and I can tell you that if they are sites for video games, etc. then definately that would not be allowed.

I don't think therer are any threads about video games, unless it's one where we pray to break video game addictions (something you may not want to hear).

As far as wanting to know if these games are OK to play, you need to be reading your Bible and finding out if the things contained in them line up with God's Word. Are you doing things in these games that are contrary to God's commands to His followers? For instance, in the role playing games are you taking on a role that is evil -- someone with occult powers, for instance? Are you using occult powers anywhere in the game to further your characters chances of survival? The Bible says that witchcraft and other occult practices are wrong. So these are something you should not role play. Don't role play a thief or a liar, etc. I am not aware of the Dragon Warrior game, but the dragon is a symbol of the devil in the Bible, therefore, the only way to fight a dragon is through the Name of Jesus Christ and through the power in His blood.

I am by no means an expert. But I do think you should ask yourself: Is the character of this person (I'm role playing) the character I want for myself in real life? Do you want to have the character of Christ in your real life? Then, don't role play characters that are the opposite of that. Philippians 4:8 says: 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Are these the kind of things you are thinking about when you play these games? In Psalms it says we should meditate (think) on God's Word day and night. These games have you thinking on something other than God's Word. How many hours are you on these games, with your mind totally wrapped up in them? (My nephews spend HOURS sometimes....)
