Its Back--Hate Crimes Legislation!

In an effort to bypass an up or down vote the Senator Kennedy-sponsored Hate Crimes Bill was slipped in as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill (S. 1547). This amendment is expected to be considered, voted on, and passed within the next few days.
As Glen Lavy of the Alliance Defense Fund has documented, the Hate Crimes Bill is a "discriminatory measure that criminalizes thoughts, feelings and beliefs [and] has the potential of interfering with religious liberty and freedom of speech."

Contact your senators and urge them to oppose this amendment.
