Hey Jerry: Great to run across you again. This is Ron Barlean, you might remember me. You stayed at our house back maybe 10 years ago, when you were holding a revival at Nooksack Valley Assembly. It was a great time. God is still blessing over this.

Hey, I just read apparently a statement from you...
"Eternal Security" is also known as "once saved always saved," or "perseverance of the saints." In other words, once someone accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior, there is nothing that he or she can do to separate himself/herself from God, and they will always be saved. This is a false doctrine. The following passages show, without any doubt, that those who believe in Christ can fall away if they do not practice righteousness.

Good job on reiterating all the scriptures regarding falling away, and "blotting".

There is another side howeever that most AG people are blind to.

Your main point is absolutely right - people who say they are saved, yet live like hell, are not going to see heaven.

When you look at the common in all the "blotting" scriptures, you will find they are all based in the limited capabilities of the human (yet inspired) speakers. Ie, humans are not all knowing, all powerful, creator of all. For simplicity, lets just call this the "human point of view." The human point of view requires the changing of a status as new things become known...ie blotting, erasing, loosing something once thought to be held, etc.

However, there are about 80 scriptures which speak from the "divine" point of view. The understanding is based on God's divine character.

A scripture that immediately pops to mind is John 6:44, where Jesus says, "No one can come to God unless God draws him." This is "divine" in the sense it explicityly sets out an absolute:" No one can come." Further is says God is in control, and not man. Only God could set out such and absolute and it goes around free will entirely. (AG people have been taught to ignore this scripture,an focus on others.)

Another is Jesus when he said, "You must be born again." Again, an devine point of view that requires absolute knowledge. Also the "born Again" is not human generated.

I have to appologize here Jerry.... I have bit off more than I can chew given the my time constraint. Here I open up a fabulous subject, and then I just TAKE OFF.... give me a shout if you are interested in this stuff.

I saw your name, and I wanted to say hi.

If you have seen the movie "Matrix" it is a great demonstration of the mind shift that a person has to go through to shift from the "indetermanist" model to the "determanist". (I hope I spelled that right).

Good to see that you are doing so well.

I found your name, after doing a search on Thomas Trask. There is trouble with the Assemblies and people need to know. They excommunicated an innocent Pastor (47 year Pastor) when this Pastor caught the NW District people committing fraud and probably embezzlement. If you are interested, see our (poor) website ***deleted by akabezalel*** for details. Actually, I will give you a shout back when I get more time, becasue I want to tell you about it. Its too big to just ignore.

I sure love you a lot.
You are a good example.
Hey, tell me the truth - has God got ahold of your heart - OR WHAT!

God Bless,
Ron Barlean
