Obsessive thoughts

I have problems with obsessive thoughts, namely about women who commit adultery with multiple partners. I ruminate or obsess about how many partners, why she cheated, how she felt about the man she cheated on, and other factors like divorce etc. This includes famous people and television characters. I also obsess about people not getting along, getting bullied, and fictional characters. I have struggled about this fictional characters and they bother me for I know that they are fictional. I ask God to heal, restore, and renew my mind. I have struggled for more than eight months and I ask for healing from these thoughts. I have these fears that they will return and that too causes me great anxiety for I don't want to go through this again. But I have gotten better and I have accepted the fact that it is not my sins and that I have this disorder but it scares me that I might have to deal with this for the rest of my life. It has taught me many lessons but I often wish that I could go back to before these last few months. I would like to be free of this.

Father I stand in the gap for Heart and declare Your goodness over her heart and life! Bring her to true repentance and freedom in Jesus and show her how to let go and turn away from this obsession with lust. Holy Spirit I release You over her life and heart to bring her into a real relationship with Jesus! AMEN!
