Watch Out That No One Deceives You

First lets understand what is mant by the word deceives. It means according to Strongs Concordance, "..to cause to roam, to go away from safety or virtue, to seduce." Other words used to describe decpetion are: fraudulent, artificial, tricks and hoaxes.
Some (not all) Biblical examples of what causes deception:
Relatives: Gen 31:27, 2 Sam 3:25
Church family: Lev 19:11
Neighbors: Josh 9:22
Leaders: 2 Kings 18:29
False gods: 2 Kings 18:29
Your own self: Job 15:31, Jer 37:9, 1 Cor 3:18
False Witness: Proverbs 14:5, 24:28
False prophets, Spiritualists, Diviners: Jer 29"8, Zech 13:4, Matt 24:24
Friends: Obadiah 1:7
False Christs: Matt 24:5
Lying Signs and wonders: Mark 13:22
Those that cause divisions, flattery: Romans 16: 18
Empty words, false doctrine: eph 5:6, Col 2:4
Hearing the word--and not doing it! James 1:22
Claiming to be without sin! 1 John 1:8
Satan: Rev 20:8
The New Testament, which the Apostle Paul wrote 2/3 of is full of warnings about the latter days. Most prophets, evangelist, pastors and anyone that watches the news today will say all the signs of the times point to the fact that we are living in the end times.
Jesus said that we would be able to discern the times, but than no one, not even Himself would know the day or the hour--that was knowledge reserved only for the Father.
The problem with decpetion is that it deceives: it causes people to think that what they believe is true is right and no one can change their minds. You cannot argue with a fool, or someone that is decieved (as if there was a difference!) In fact one sign that a person is deceived is the fact that they want to argue about things they know very little about! For anyone that has any knowledge at all realizes that there are many possiblilites (except when it comes to the truth of God's word), and no one individual except Jesus Christ knows it all!
Watch out for lying signs and wonders designed to deceive the elect (church) if that were even possible! The Bible says that signs and wonders will follow those that believe, not that those that believe should chase after the signs and wonders! Watch out for fake apostles and phony prophets, only desiring profits giving personal prophecy for a fee!
Watch out for tv evangelists that beat their spouses, openly divorce, are engaged in perverted sexual behaviors, cheat on income taxes and live in multi-million dollar estates!
No I am not saying that everyone that has money is evil! I am just saying watch out and don't be deceived by the wicked ones.
Watch out for teachers that only want to tickle your ears with flattery, only teach on the love and mercy and grace of God without cautioning God's people with truth--No matter what anyone tells you it is still not safe to sin! Never has been, never will be either! God is the same yesterday, today and forever, and will not be mocked!
The Bible is the word of God. It describes non-negotiable standards for living! Divorce is not acceptable in the eyes of God. Neither is the homosexual agenda. Lying, cheating, killing, stealing, disobeying your parents are still sins!
Kicking God out of our schools and government was not the answer! Allowing the enemy a foothold in every area of American life is not acceptable. Passing out condoms to 12 and 13 year old children is not the solution to unwanted pregnancies.
Abortion does not please God! Same-sex marriages and "alternative lifestyles" are still an abomination in the eyes of God. Rebellion against the President does not bring honor into anyone's home. Rebellion against any legitimate authority of God only brings destruction. That goes for the authority in the home, the church, the government, the school and at work.
Slandering your boss is not acceptable. Rebelling against your spouse is not acceptable. Cheating your government will not be tolerated by God. Using your work time for taking care of personal business is cheating your employer out of an honest day's work for an honest day's wage. Using your work computer to shop and surf the internet is cheating as well. Cheating on your income taxes defrauds your government, as does not giving to your local church cheats God. Not feeding the hungry, clothing the naked or sheltering the homeless is a direct violation of God's word!
Watch out that NO ONE DECEIVES YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
