Brothers and sisters of this family of our faith,
As another anniversary of the September 11th attacks approaches, there are weekly reports of other terrorist plots being uncovered and daily reports of suicide bombers killing innocent men, women and children in far away places. The agents of the enemy attack without ceasing and many of our brothers and sisters grow weary from the battle. My prayer for my fellow saints and our country is for our Heavenly Father to come and fulfill His promises to be our fortress, our rock, our tall mountain of refuge and to fight and conquer the enemy for us. Amen
Heavenly Father, Almighty and merciful Jehovah - Jireh, we give all glory and praise to You and to Your Son Christ Jesus, for the precious gift of this day and all the many blessings You fill it with for all Your children, both seen and unseen. Thank You for being ever faithful to Your Word and Your promises. Thank You Father God for Your endless generosity of Your grace, mercy and limitless loving kindness to us all. Forgive us of everything we’ve done that displeases You and wash us all clean of our unrighteousness in the blood of the Lamb. Make us all new and acceptable in Your sight again.
As we once again come together as a nation and a family of faith to remember those who lost their lives both on that horrible day and in the events since, we ask that You would be with all the members of our family in Christ, both here at home and around the world, to nurture and encourage each of us to be more like our Lord Jesus in all that we say and do. Let us become true ambassadors for Your kingdom and let Your righteous light shine through our eyes and our lives for all to see. Let this light become a beacon in the darkness that will guide many to seek Your forgiveness and receive the gift of salvation by accepting our Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We ask that You richly bless us all according to the riches of Your glory and for the glory of Your kingdom. We claim the promise and victory of our Redeemer, Lord Jesus, over all that we ask and we pray all these things in His precious holy name. Amen and amen
May we all have a blessed week.
