I don't really know how to pray but I never seem to receive a response to/from my prayers. Could you please pray with me that I will be able to get caught up on all my bills for once! We have been struggling so hard and it has warn me down! We commute and hour one way to work everyday and that gas money has put us way behind on bills. I just pray that we are blessed with what we need. God has heard my prayers and knows our need.
Will you also pray with me to better understand my relationship with God?
Thank you,
Tiffany L

Lord Jesus, I entreat You to have mercy on Tiffany and to look with favour on her pleas for mercy and help.

Give her every spiritual blessings that she yearns for including a deep knowledge of and close fellowship with You.

Pour Your blessing on her finances as well. Amen

Lord-

We pray for Tiffany, that you would cover all expenses abundanly ad provide extra for any other needs. We ask that your Holy spirit open her to new understanding and a closer relationship with you, to realize, sometimes you have a time and purpose for answering prayers and supplications, that will benefit us better than when we think is right. In Jesus Name- Amen!!

I don't know if this helps about "how to pray"...but may I tell you what I tell my 12 year old daughter. Talk to Jesus like he is your best friend.....don't worry about the correct language or what is appropriate to say. Say what you feel and think just like you would talk to your friends or relatives. Also, I tell my daughter to imagine Jesus' face as she talks with Him. If you make visible whom you are talking with in your head, it seems all the more real and sincere......and sincerity makes all the difference in how your prayers are received (I believe). It makes praying easier and more relevant and real if you are talking to a face...a someone....not just an arbitrary name of "God" or "JEsus". He is real...living....right here with us in the "now"...so put Him in the "now" and speak to him as though you would any other loved one in your life. See Him as you pray and it seems so much easier and real!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck and I am praying for you to feel free of your burdens. I also tell my daughter that not all prayers are answered in the exact manner in which we asked. For instance...she is praying that this girl stop bullying her at school. She thought that her prayers went unanswered because this other girl has not stopped being mean at times. I tell her that her prayers are heard, just the same, and that the answer may be in another form not asked for. She now prays that if this child will not leave her alone, that her own feelings about the situation change,,,and that she feel at peace about it even if this girl has not changed. She is now asking God to give her strength to over look this girl and to be strong enough to ignore it and go one with her day. She told me this morning that she thinks prayer is really helping her to feel better now...and stronger. Just keep in mind that all prayers are answered...however they may be answered the way that He knows to be correct and not just the way we want.

WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAHHHH

whats with all the big words?

reminds me of meet the parents... kids never prayed before in front of friends parents "uhh... oh sweet jesus.. i'd like to thank thee for the shmorgishboard of fantastic food you're great holy, holy, self have set before our........ " and so on..

do the Anne of Green Gables.... say a letter to God..

Dear God,

most of the time my family and i come around in a circle at night.. you may want to try that with your spouse or children if you have any...

god will answer your prayers if they are sincere, though you have to realize that it is not always yes because you want it really bad...

if you dad is dying.. god needed his service and thats the way he wanted it to be..
got financial problems?
kids getting bad grades?
job isnt too well?
friend got in car crash?

accept in life that everything isnt peachy because you are christian, god made difficulties in your life for you to overcome things..

things that are bad will come into your life.. its a must..

To the member who posted the last response....what do you mean " Whoa whoa whoa....What is with all the big words?" I did not see where this person posted that she spoke in big words while praying....nor are there any "big" words in any of the responses given above. In fact I mentioned to this person to use everyday language while praying. What were you refering to...anything in particular?
