hey man.. whats up..

if you've read my "new member" thread which im guessing you did seeing as on how i've only wrote it about a minute ago, i mentioned having doubts about my religion and thats how i came to this site in the first place..

im not really asking you in particular, for i've visited many other sites and posted as well, and i am also asking anyone else that reads this...

in the words that i will say from here there is no need to offend ANYONE, and i am sorry if i do, forgive me please.

why christianity?
you, like me, grew up that way? you were raised to believe that God was the creater of the world so you stuck with it? what about the people in africa that have never heard of the bible before and grew up with people dancing around fires worshiping rocks? will they go to hell for they did not know him?

what other things has religion brought to the world besides jihad's and arguments? YES SIR most of the things in the bible and the things believed in 99% of the other religions propose proper civil and moral behaviors, such as loving your neigbor, not kiling, stealing, commiting adoltery, etc.
but can you do that without thinking the world was flooded for 40 days and nights?
FACT: Jesus walked this Earth.. died by the ROMANS (not jews) on the cross, alright.. jews believed he was a prophet (i believe?) and christians definately thought this guy was the one..

at least 40% of the bible has to do with how you interpret things, heres a old one my dad talked about with my brother when he wanted to get a tattoo.
Do not cut yourself in mourning for the ded, and to not mark yourself with ink, your body is a temple..
taken as by brother : dont get tattoos or cut yourself FOR THE DED
taken as by dad: dont cut yourself for the ded, and dont get tattoos..

creates quite a conflict?

Scribes that wrote the Torah in the old day (not sure if it is stil now) had to write it in certain, exact, ways. A letter added in the Torah? it was disqualified..
A letter deleted in the Torah? it was disqualified...

there are more..

what about the Bible? if most is on how you interpret things and there have been tons of different kinds of bibles written by different people, then how do we know how they have interpreted them from the original writings and how to take them now?
If someone dull re-wrote the bible "suffer not a witch to be" over the years could become "witches are everywhere, stay away from them" which is just outrageous and childish...

do demons get rewarded in hell when they do something bad, or punished like everyone else?

1 Kings Chapter 18, Mount Carmel, some christians favorite on the smack talk Elijah throws at all the prophets of Baal, in the end his boar, the stones, and the grass around the altar are all burned to smitherines even after being dowsed in water three times..
the 850 (?) people that were slaughtered in the Kishon Valley after that for not believing in God? OUTRAGEOUS, ORDERED BY THE PROPHET ELIJAH TO BE KILLED...

mythology... ares, zeus, hades, alllll that jazz... funny how people believed in a kid that shot arrows at you to make you fall in love hundreds of years ago..

in hundreds of years from now willl there be a kid my age on a forum saying

mythology... Jesus, Buddha, alll that jazz.. funny how people believed in a dude that walked on water and came back to life after three days..

MYTHOLOGY IS A CLASS IN MY HIGH SCHOOL, WILL THERE BE A CLASS IN A HUNDRED YEARS FROM NOW SAYING "Today we're gonna learn about how Jesus turned some water into some wine for people... open up your books to page 43, Section 7."

I know i may be bashing a lot of things.. but these are just questions that may be coming off in a bad way...
i hope you're very mature in your spirituality and everything you know about the bible is in your head AND 8 inches south to your heart..

a lot of people cant do that 8 inches..

you're mature enough to realize taht im not a spawn of satan like a lot of jesus freaks think if they saw me saying this.. you'd think (or at least i hope dear God) man.. this kid needs help.. i should answer some of his questions and maybe there is hope in him..

im fourteen man... please email me at **************************
like many christians in my school dont think because i dont believe in christianity anymore im not still cool to talk with and discuss things with..

some of the things in here might be incorrect, and please tell me if they are.. but i do know a lot, and love debating and learning things.. so please email me..

Why Christianity? Because Jesus is my best friend and He walks with me through everything. My parents taught me about Him and sent me to church, yes, but I had to make a concious chose to believe it for myself. They could teach me about Him, but that would not make Him my best friend. It was my choice to get to know Him over the years that has led to me calling Him my best friend. There is just no-one else that is with me every moment. . . .They could teach me of Him day and night, but unless I made a choice to get to know Him personally, He would be no more to me than someone I have heard of and know about (just as I have heard of Abraham Lincoln and Geroge Washington). Only, Jesus is God, and He is eternal. Unlike Abe and Geroge, Jesus rose from the grave, and He is alive right now, sitting at God's right hand, praying for me. I believe in Him because when I pray to Him and spend time with Him, he makes His Presence known to me. He walks with me and He talks with me, and He tells e I am His own. . . . (to phrase a song). In my daily experience I just KNOW He is there. And you may think this is a weak answer, but the crux of the issue is that "Blessed is those who have not seen and yet believe." We believe in Him through FAITH, not through mind, reasoning or intellect. No matter how reasonable this is to me, there is always that basic element one can not escape from: faith. In most part, I simply believe it on faith.
