Helping the Poor and Neglected Saints/Churches in the Provinces
A 9-day Ministry Trips within the Philippines on Nov. 4-12

Dear Friends and Family in Christ,

The Apostle Paul encouraged the Christians during his time to help the poor saints in

Judea. One of the churches which responded to this call was the Macedonians.

According to 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 says:

1 And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. 2 Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. 3 For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, 4 they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints. 5 And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will.

The Macedonians, though both poor and persecuted, rejoiced exceedingly that an opportunity was afforded them of doing good to their more impoverished and more persecuted brethren. We can scarcely ever speak of poverty and affliction in an absolute sense; they are only comparative. Even the poor are called to relieve those who are poorer than themselves; and the afflicted, to comfort those who are more afflicted than they are. The poor and afflicted churches of Macedonia felt this duty, and therefore came forward to the uttermost of their power to relieve their more impoverished and afflicted brethren in Judea.

Like Paul, I’m encouraging you to let us help the poor saints in the Philippines to equip them to serve more the Lord Jesus with love, gladness and passion.

And like the Macedonian churches, let us imitate them to give first our lives to the Lord and to give sacrificially for the cause of the Gospel. You know that I am not a rich person in terms of material and financial things but there is a vision and passion in my heart to give more for those brethren residing in the remote places.

In connection to these, we will be ministering to the poor pastors and churches living in the provinces that have no opportunity to attend seminars and trainings in Manila. We could reach them via air plane and we would like to shoulder their expenses (food, lodging and if possible even their transportation) so that we can minister to them with grace, love and sacrifice.

I encourage you to be a part of this God-honoring ministry where we could practice Galatians 6:10 to be a willing vessel to use for His glory, to touch other lives and to equip His people! Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Thank you!

The good Lord is able to bless you abundantly more than you think of or ask for.

His servant and yours,

Eman forJESUS
