Every day there are people who are drawn to this site that have a great need of somekind. There may be some who have never accepted the Lord as their Savior fully into their lives. There are also others who have at some point in their lives accepted the Lord as their Savior who like the Prodigal Son, have turned from their faith. I grew up in a good Christian home and always believed the things my parent’s taught me, and then fell away for a time. It was a rocky road for me finding my way back home. But let me tell you it was worth it! I just want to say that for any of you reading this who may have walked away from Jesus at some point in your life; He still loves you and wants to have a relationship with you, and is waiting patiently for you to come home. He wants to take the pain and heartache away. Please know that when you fully accept Him into your heart and mind and repent of the things you need to, there will follow such peace and joy! You know the Lord will never leave or forsake you, but sometimes it is us who have forsaken Him. Yet He is always there, always trying to get our attention, waiting patiently for us to listen to His voice and respond. However this has to be your decision. I remember when I was first trying to change my life; I didn’t know quite how to go about that. It all started with prayer. I had gotten to the point that I was sick of my life and sin. I got down on my knees and said the first really heart felt prayer I had probably said in my life. I told the Lord I was miserable and felt empty inside and wanted to know Him. I told him I needed him to change my heart and give me a new heart, one free of desires for sin. There is a difference between Godly sorrow and worldly sorrow. When you have worldly sorrow you are sorry that things are not going your way, but love your sins more than you love and desire God in your life. When you ask and let God into your life, he will begin to work a Godly sorrow into your heart. He will take you through the process as you learn to depend on Him and trust Him. I remember I began to feel heart broken for the sins I had committed against Him for the first time. I got down on my knees and began to plead for His intervention and forgiveness in my life. For the first time the emptiness I had been feeling began to be filled and replaced with a peace that truly surpassed all understanding. This real! He had changed my heart in the process. I no longer had the same disposition to commit sin. You cannot do this yourself. You cannot overcome long standing habits through will power alone. We are just too weak to be all that He has intended on your own volition.
Time is fleeting. Moments are passing. We are in the last days and time is short until the advent of our Savior’s return. Jesus is watching and waiting. He is there waiting to heal you and help you to have the life He intended. You came to this earth with trailing clouds of glory and have a mission to perform. You need His help for you to find and fulfill that mission. One moment of turning back can change your whole life and future. I have had problems and adversity in this life, but there is a peace like nothing I ever knew before when I was living a life outside the Lord’s peace. Remember sin can never bring that true state of happiness and joy. It is so fleeting! It will always leave you empty and unsatisfied and miserable in the end. The Lord has the power to break that bondage if you let Him into your life. Today can be a new beginning with a clean white sheet. When you take the Lord into your partnership, He can bless you in ways you cannot conceive. He can fight your battles for you and raise up friends and opportunities. There is a song, “Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling.” Come home, come home, You are weary, come home; Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling, Calling, O sinner, come home!!

Thank you for your post. The timing had to be the Lord's, as I really needed your words.
How often I have had worldly sorrow, rather than God's sorrow...... Too often.
Give God the glory as His timing is always right......
